Insane fall colors!!!

OMG the fall colors from this cabin are INSANE. Like I legit won the jackpot. Vacation = smooth + relaxing. Host is super on top of everything and actually cares. 10/10 would stay again.

The property is absolutely gorgeous! The view was so amazing and the amenities were over the top. We did see a few bears so make sure you lock your car and keep all food and trash secure. We will be back again for sure!

Breathtaking view

This place has the most incredible mountain view! We got there right at peak fall colors and decided to fully embrace a lazy eat-play-sleep-repeat kind of vacation. Traffic was a little wild, but it didn’t really matter since we mostly stayed in. Nothing beats sipping coffee on the rocking chairs, taking in those gorgeous colorful mountains, and watching the bears wander around the cabin. Absolute heaven. We didn’t even feel the need to go anywhere else to enjoy the Smokies’ beauty.

Cute bear families

We counted at least 3 different bear families with 1, 2 and 4 cubs playing in the backyard during our stay. It was the cutest thing and a once in a life time experience for us. The host said there was a bear den in the wood not far from the backyard. We loved our stay so much and would definitely be back next year!

Amazing

We had such a great stay at Papa Bear’s Den! The cabin was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. The views from the decks were amazing — especially with our morning coffee — and the game room and hot tub were perfect for unwinding after exploring Gatlinburg. The location felt peaceful and private but was still really close to town. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely long family weekend here! We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and even got a visit from the bears! Kate was wonderful to communicate with—adding an extra day was easy and she was so flexible with us arriving slightly earlier than our check-in time. The view of the mountains at sunrise and sunset from the deck was spectacular. In case this helps anyone else, we found that with the drive up the mountains, taking the slightly longer route that has you driving through downtown Gatlinburg was much easier to get to the cabin than the way from Pigeon Forge.Would stay here again!

Excellent

Clean and beautiful as described. We were very impressed with the exceptional level of customer service. There was an HVAC issue when we first arrived, but the host acted at lightning speed and got a tech there within 1 hr of notice and fixed it in 15 mins. She also checked in on us and made sure we got everything we needed. It also looked like the cabin was maintained well. The deck has a new beautiful red stain, which makes the cabin really stand out from the green backdrop. Several pieces of furniture looked quite new. They also added a head-to-head arcade in the game room, which was not in the pictures so that was a pleasant surprise. We would recommend this cabin to everyone.

Clean and beautiful

Great cabin! Very clean and professional-looking upon arrival, easy check-in process. Tons of amenities! We really loved hanging out and enjoying the view from the amazing deck. The game room is super cool, playing pool and listening to the little jukebox was fun! Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, even did a load of laundry! No complaints! For future guests, there is frequent bear activity so be sure to heed the provided notes from the owners! And the driveway is pretty sharp and steep, but there is parking off the road if you have a low profile or large vehicle! Will definitely be back!!

Amazing view

This cabin is in Chalet Village and the road does get a bit steep at a few spots, but it was totally manageable for us flat-landers. The view is amazing and makes it all worth it. We were right below the path of Ober tram and our kiddos enjoyed waving at the tram whenever it passed by. We also saw a tubby bear family with 3 cubs at least twice a day during our stay, which was perfect as we dreaded queuing for hours at Cades Coves just to catch a glimpse of one. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. Already dreaming of going back in Oct for fall foliage.

We didn't want to leave

Came with a group. Within 2 hours I saw a bear in the front walking around the cars. The view was amazing. I loved this place and we had an absolute blast and didn’t even want to leave!

A Perfect Mountain Getaway!

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in the Smoky Mountains for 3 days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The cabin was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed—from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and a relaxing hot tub. The views were absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the mountain scenery every morning felt like a dream. We loved spending time on the porch, enjoying the peace and quiet, and watching the sunset in the evenings. It was close enough to attractions like Gatlinburg , but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic escape. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place for a family vacation

Stayed with my wife, 3 teenager daughters, sister and parents. Location was great, everyone enjoyed the place. Would definitely stay here again for future trips. Highly recommended for a family trip.

Great location

Great location. Everything you want to do is close by. Longest trip was to Cades Cove, it was about an hr or so away. Not the newest rugs or furniture but still clean and in good shape. Every room had a nice tv. Wifi was excellent. AC worked great. Third floor game room was great. Kitchen has everything you need. View is good. Spacious. The ober lift goes right past the house. The driveway was fun the first time. We have a large suv and I took the first turn to tight and i had to back down the driveway. I ended up just parking it halfway up the driveway. Was no big deal. Driving thru the mountains is part of the adventure of the smokies. Also Clingsmans Dome is now known as Kuwohi. I didn’t know this and I thought I was taking my family to a new hike. But it worked out in the end because the sky was very clear and last time we went it was very cloudy. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay

Had a wonderful stay here with our family to visit Smokey mountain national park. Saw more bears and cubs in the neighborhood than we did in the park itself!😂 After long days in the park or city it was so relaxing to stay here and play games or use the hot tub. Cant wait to vacation here again! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Perfect location

Perfect location and access to Gatlinburg and surrounding area, home was well equipped with kitchen utensils, cooking pottery, and coffee maker. A great outdoor event for us was the bears each morning and evening. Got to see them climbing in the trees across the street and watched two baby bears play and tumble in the back yard. Nights were busy as we had plenty of games to play and enjoyed both the pool table and foose ball table. Front porch was amazing as well.

Excellent stay

This place is very clean and looks just like pictures. We love the mountain view from the deck and had really fun quality family time in the game room. Our kiddos were amazed when they spotted a momma bear and 2 cubs climbing a tree in the backyard. Heed the host's warning of bear car break-in. We witnessed a bear tried pulling our car door's handle to open it like a pro, but fortunately it was locked. We really enjoyed our stay and wish to come back soon.

Beautiful

This cabin is even more beautiful in person—spacious, cozy, and with amazing views. Everything was spotless, and the kitchen well-stocked. We enjoyed the great selection of board games and the pool table in the game room. It’s close to the park and downtown attractions. We'd love to come back.

As a clean freak, I give this cabin 10/10 for its cleanliness and listing accuracy. Spotless, and as described, with ample amenities. Beautiful view from the deck. Super close to downtown Gatlinburg and the park entrance. Highly recommend!

Cozy place

Our family enjoyed every second of our stay here! It was very clean and spacious with abundant amenities. We saw a family of a mama bear and 2 cubs like 5 times during our stay. We read the bear tips in the welcome folder and made sure to keep our distance. It was an amazing experience for kids and adults alike. Wish we had booked a longer stay!

I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, and I hope you do too. I think money may or may not bring joy; however, travel definitely makes us happier. It gives us an opportunity to step outside our well-worn, self-constructed realities and provides a platform to explore ourselves - who we might be when we are not anxious about safety, security and status. Being in the travel business make me feel like I am a life improver. I am happy when my guests are happy. I love everything about this cabin. It is located in Chalet Village, a perfect location that is close to everything. The cabin is new, spacious, and very well-maintained. All rooms have a cabin-style log bed with a comfy mattress, and a flat screen TV with Cable TV service. The cabin has a large 2-level deck with hot tub and BBQ grill, looking out to a million dollar view of the mountains and the tram. An entire story is designated for fun activities, including pooling table, poker table, arcade, and board games. Bears are active in the neighborhood, which provides a great opportunity for our guests to watch them from the deck. Another perk is access to three nearby clubhouses with pools and tennis courts.
