We loved this place and would highly recommend it! It’s a gorgeous drive up the mountain to get there and an all around great property. No need to drive out to Cades Cove to see the wildlife. The wildlife will come to you.

You will be so happy that you booked this cabin! It is even better than the photos and the photos are awesome! The details throughout the cabin are so impressive and don't forget to read the story behind the cabin and the fire in 2016. It is a great story of faith. We had 5 adults and 2 kiddos and we felt very comfortable in this cabin. We felt right at home and Stacey is one of the best hostesses we have had in our travels and we travel a lot.

The location of this cute little cabin was perfect! And the house was perfect for our 8, 9 and 13 year old kids! There was so many games, a movie room, a hot tub, and lots of space to spread out! The cabin was so beautiful and well-stocked, as well as a great location to do all of the things in the area.

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience for our family. During our stay, we encountered active mice in the home, along with a significant amount of mouse droppings and urine in the pots and pans. We also found mouse droppings in the bed a couple of days into our stay, which was extremely concerning.On top of that, while I was carrying my baby on the deck, I nearly fell through the deck due to rotten wood. My foot went through the deck fortunately I was quick enough to respond and did not go through anymore. Which could have resulted in a very serious accident. We also noticed areas where the railings did not feel secure, which made us very uncomfortable due to small children being there.The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we reached out, and we do appreciate that. Unfortunately, the condition of the property and the safety concerns made this an experience we would not want to repeat.

Thank you for your feedback. We were very sorry that these issues affected your family’s stay, and we appreciated you bringing them to our attention while you were there. Our professional pest control company had actually serviced the home just prior to your arrival, so we were especially concerned to hear about the mouse activity. We have since had them return, thoroughly inspect the property and seal the areas they identified as possible entry points. While wildlife can unfortunately find its way into mountain homes from time to time, we do everything possible to prevent it and in this case, acted immediately to address it. We also appreciate you notifying us about the soft board on the deck. Based on the photos provided, there was a soft area in one deck board, rather than an opening in the deck, and that board was replaced the day of checkout. We take the safety of our guests very seriously and addressed this immediately. We’re sorry these issues overshadowed your stay, and we appreciate your kind words about our responsiveness.

Wonderful home away from home!

The cabin was clean and cozy. Check in was super easy. We did not experience any problems during our stay. Location is convenient to commercialized areas, but secluded enough to feel like you are really in the woods. We loved our stay!

Lovely family vacation

Our family had such a great stay at the cabin and in Gatlinburg! This cabin is very close to downtown and the National Park which made it easy to spend time enjoying everything Gatlinburg has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!

Several years ago I visited Tennessee for the first time while on a business trip and when I left it felt like I was leaving home. The following summer my family and I visited Gatlinburg and fell in love with the Smoky Mountains. We fell in love with Treehouse Lodge and the story behind it. I am honored to host you at Treehouse Lodge and I hope you will love the handcrafted charm as much as I do!

The location of this property is FANTASTIC! Located within the national park, the cabin sits in a bit of a valley and is close to everything the area has to offer, just 8 mins to downtown Gatlinburg, close to tons of hiking trails/outdoor activites and only about 15 mins to Pigeon Forge!

Treehouse Lodge has an amazing and inspiring story. The original cabin was lost in the Gatlinburg fires of 2016. The family that lived there at the time completely rebuilt this cabin from the ground up, lovingly adding hand crafted details such as real log steps, hand made cabinets, etc. You can read the full story in the guest book at the cabin.
