Comfortable & big house

Our family loved staying here! Perfect to fit us all with bedrooms and open floor plan to hang out. Easy to call the shuttle to/from the village.

Clean, big, outdated

This property was very clean. Brand new towels and sheets in some rooms. It felt like the cleaning service was meticulous to detail with the fridge, coffee maker, etc. It’s a large house. Our group was 9. The layout is entrance floor: master bedroom with queen bed and pullout, bathroom, laundry, hot tub. Second floor kitchen, dining, living room, one bathroom, two king bedrooms. Floor three is one king bed and bathroom and one full bed and a bathroom. Plus a football table/loft. The master mattress is so old and worn, it’s like sleeping in a cavern. The steam shower didn’t work in the master. The button was missing. The carpets were very stained (didn’t bother me). A chair was broken. The property managers offered to fix, were very responsive. Basically, the house needs some updating.

Fantastic property and great location!

This house exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly situated on Northstar mountain for a group ski vacation. It had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and come together. The home felt fresh with it’s more mountain modern decor. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms clean. Everyone in our group fought over the spa bathroom attached to the downstairs bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to cook an extensive meal. We had two kids under the age with one with us and the management company provided multiple pack n plays, high chairs and baby gates, which was amazing. It made traveling to Tahoe so much easier knowing we didn’t have to trek out there with all of the additional baby gear. The management company was incredibly responsive. We came to Tahoe during a massive snow storm and it snowed a few additional feet during our stay. They came out to remove snow from the roof as well as the decks during our visit. As well as they sent someone out with random odds and ends for the house when we couldn’t find them. We had a fantastic trip and can’t wait to go back.

Location is the Best Feature

Property is getting dated. Carpet needs updating; generally it’s just aging. Updated kitchen is great; but ice maker on fridge is broken (dispenser). Property management company (Avant Stay) was struggling to get the front door electronic keypad working the entire stay; used a hide-a-key to get in and out. The gas grill needed propane, which we had to call for. And get delivered; it’s in need of some repair as well. General cleanliness around the property was a bit disappointing; trash around the property and such. Several windows missing screens; several lights burned out; and a mouse living under the living room couch needs to be taken care of.

Great Location and Lots of Space

We had a wonderful time staying at this property in June. It’s in a great location and there was plenty of room for our two families. With just a few small improvements, the house could be perfect! Pros: Location; amount of rooms and bathrooms; kitchen was fully stocked; fire pit was lovely at night; beautiful view. Cons: Mattress/bed on the bottom floor needs updating; no air conditioning on top floor so it was quite warm; house probably needs an exterminator (we saw a small mouse a few times); some of the door knobs were loose; hot tub could use a cleaning.

Great house for a group of friends… great neighborhood. We went off-season so it was quiet.

Great experience - fun sitting around visiting, cooking, driving around Lake Tahoe, gambling and shopping in Truckee.

Nice house, spacious living area

This house has a nice-sized living area for your group to gather together, and a large, nicely-updated kitchen. Elements of the bathrooms have also clearly been updated. Our group of ten adults found most things to be very nice. We appreciated the hot tub and the great views. We also appreciated the gas fireplace in the living room, though there was some oddness around the description of it. We inquired in advance whether the fireplace was gas or wood-burning. The management company told us it was wood-burning. They were incorrect. The fireplace is a gas fireplace. Anyone trying to burn wood in it would damage the home terribly!!! There were some things about the way the house was supplied that didn't live up to its potential, and these could be easily remedied. There were no potholders in the kitchen. The kitchen could use serving utensils (we had to choose between serving with eating utensils or giant cooking spatulas/cooking spoons), a few more tall glasses, and a few additional pots. There was only one hand towel in each bathroom but the master (a total of 5 hand towels for 10 adults). The towels were stiff as though they had been washed without fabric softener or dryer sheets. Finally, we all wished we had dressers in the bedrooms. Only the master has a chest of drawers. The other 4 bedrooms were lacking in places to unpack into: two had nightstands with one drawer each, one had a single nightstand with three tiny drawers, and one had no drawers at all. Three of the four auxiliary bedrooms had closets, so if you wanted to hang all of your clothing and there wasn't too much of it, you could do that. But when staying somewhere for a week, we all prefer to unpack and wished for drawers. In the king bedroom on the main floor, the two bedside lamps had to be unplugged to be turned off; and the outlet was behind the bed. The bedroom on the bottom floor seemed not to be served by the central heating system. We were glad the owners supplied a space heater. The biggest issue we ran into was that the owners were apparently in the process of repairing or replacing their stove when we visited, and the non-working stove was wrapped in a tarp and left in the dining room, preventing us from being able to walk around the dining table on one side. That was a surprise and disappointment to us. The leasing agency did grant us a small discount because of this when we asked, but we would have preferred to have been notified in advance.

Perfect for family trip

I stayed here with my wife and a big group of my cousins. We really enjoyed this stay because of the perfect set up of the kitchen and living room. There was enough room for all of us to cook and hang out together the whole trip. There’s a super large counter top and all of the space and kitchen appliances were so great. The rooms were nice and there were enough restrooms to accommodate our larger group. The outside was nice to enjoy the fresh air and watch the stars at night. The house was clean and overall we had a lovely trip, would recommend to others and stay again in the future.

Wedding party home base.

Home was well stocked with towels, paper goods, kitchen items, and cleaning supplies. Great location. Closest market has everything you need. Walking trails nearby. Short drive to the freeway but very quiet and secluded. Beautiful views. Comfortably fit nine guests. Upstairs bath had a slow drain (older tub) and some housekeeping issues in upstairs bedroom, but these were addressed quickly by management. Arrived slightly early for check in and management was also able to accommodate. Plenty of parking for 4 cars.

Comfortable Convenient place, Helpful Management

3 stories 5bd 4ba with hot tub, grill, and fireplace. It suited all of our needs to work from home, ski in north star and elsewhere, and have fun apres ski moments. North Star shuttle picks up/ drops off. It’s a residential area so quiet times were enforced after 9/10 daily.

The property is excellent. The house is gorgeous and it offered us everything we needed. There were some issues with some of the appliances working, but we were able to make do.

Great Stay

Our group very much enjoyed our stay. The house was extremely clean and was was exactly as pictured. The layout worked very well for a couple of families with kids. We would not hesitate to make a return trip.
