Beautiful Lake Tahoe Home at the Northstar Resort!

Five bedrooms, three full and two half bathrooms, sleeps 14, in a quiet spot at Northstar at Lake Tahoe. The free Northstar shuttle stops right in front of the house and runs to the slopes and back, so once you park you never need the car. A sledding hill out the door, a seasonal creek below, a wraparound deck with valley views, three fireplaces, and a guest pass to the Northstar Recreation Center.

The house sleeps 14. Families with little ones often bring sleeping bags so the kids can sprawl out on the couches and the floor, within the 14 guest maximum.

LINENS AND TOWELS
Every bed has a spare set of sheets in the bottom drawer of the dresser in its own room. There are plenty of towels, and hair dryers in the bathrooms.
HEAT
Forced-air heat throughout, plus three fireplaces: wood-burning in the family room, and electric in the Wolf and Moose rooms. There is no air conditioning. The house sits in mature pines and stays cool, and summer evenings are cool even in August.
THE DECK
A wraparound deck looking out over the valley, with a patio dining table for six and two long bench tables, enough seating for the whole house. A Traeger pellet grill is set up on the deck.
GUEST ACCESS
You have the whole house. A few cabinets and closets are locked, including some pantry items and our owner closets. Everything else is yours to use.
Self check-in with a keypad lock. Your door code is sent through the app before you arrive and switches on at your check-in time.
Your stay includes a guest pass to the Northstar Recreation Center. With the pass, admission is $10 per person per day for guests over age 4. The rec center is where you will find three year-round outdoor hot tubs, a heated lap pool, dry saunas, a fitness center, and a game room with ping pong, a pool table, air hockey and foosball. In season there is also a main pool, a kiddie pool and splash pad, a kids' water play area, tennis and pickleball, basketball, bocce and a playground. Bring your own food and drinks, no glass. Some amenities need a reservation and hours change by season, so check npoa.info before you plan around one.
There is no hot tub at the house. The hot tubs, pools and saunas are all at the rec center.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We prefer to talk through the app, and we are happy to take a text or a call if that is easier. We have another home just down the street, so we are usually close by if something comes up.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Our home is positioned so you feel like you have the place to yourself. It is quiet and relaxing. The hill the house is built on is a great sledding hill, good for hours and days of fun. A creek runs along the bottom of the property through fall, winter and spring. In summer there are trails to hike and bike right from the neighborhood, including the Tompkins Memorial Trail about a block from the house.
GETTING AROUND
The free Northstar shuttle stops right in front of the house and runs to the Village and the lifts and back. Once you park, there is no reason to get in the car until you head home. The shuttle currently runs through the Northstar Transportation app, so download it before you arrive.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please keep noise from being heard beyond the property line at all times. Any county fine resulting from a rules violation is charged to the guest.
No pets, we are both allergic. No smoking indoors, a $500 charge applies.
Firewood is not provided. Our insurance will not let us keep wood at the house, so please pick some up on your way in.
All trash goes to the Northstar bear-proof dumpsters. Bags left at the house are $75 each.
No charcoal grills, fire pits, bonfires or fireworks at any time. During a Red Flag Warning there is no outdoor flame of any kind, including the Traeger.
Parking is on the parking pad, which holds 3 full-size or 4 compact vehicles. In summer, 2 more fit on the right side of the pad. In winter that right-side spot is for 4x4 vehicles only, at your own risk in snow. No street parking at any time. No trailers, boats or campers.
Seven exterior security cameras record video and audio: the front door doorbell and floodlight, the parking pad, the upstairs corner, the back deck, the lower entrance, and the lower entrance door. There are no cameras inside the house.
