No shortage of fun, food, and activities nearby. Separate, locked UPSTAIRS apartment unit with its own entrance. I've tried to take my own travel experiences into account when laying out this place. My goal is to provide a place that you can enjoy as a vacation, work, or temporary living situation, or maybe all the above!

This property was exactly as it was presented. It had everything I needed for a two night stay and all the light switches were labled which helped. I had a question for Tyler and he immediately picked up his phone and gave me the answer. Using the lock to come in and out was easy and importantly I felt safe as a female traveling alone. I was there when it was extremely hot out so I was worried about the AC since the home is well over 100 years, but the house was cool when I arrived and AC worked extremely well. Thank you Tyler! This was a great spot and I will definitely stay there again. One last thing, my sister stayed the second night and slept well on the second bed and there was plently of room for the two of us.

Staying at "The Nest at Sloans Lake" was wonderful. However, we had to take extra caution going in and out as the door to the upstairs apartment opens over the stairs and not into the room. Otherwise, the space was cozy and very comfortable with fabulous air conditioning, a kitchen, and an enclosed backyard. Parking in the back was convenient. The location offered us easy walking through cute neighborhoods to Sloans Lake with its patio dining, and to Highlands Square marketplace and its farmer's market. It was also an easy drive into downtown Denver for a dinner tour and again to Red Rocks Amphitheater for the sunrise.It took us only about an hour and a half to get to Colorado Springs to see Manitou Springs, the Garden of the Gods, Focus on the Family's headquarters, as well as the Eyrie Castle. There was so much to see and do with this as our home base. We enjoyed it!

We enjoyed our stay at The Nest. It was cute, comfortable, and convenient for everything we needed, The host was great and accessible, but we didn't need him as we had great instructions, and everything was in order.

Perfect place in Colorado. Returned to the area with a friend and was able to find this hidden gem on VRBO. Check in- easy peasy. Tyler was great about sending clear instructions ahead and I had no issues.The place is very clean and has all the amenities. Appreciated the coffee options and two separate sleeping areas was perfect. AC was set so it was pleasant on a hot day. Loved the extra pillows and the bed I slept in was very comfortable. The location is in a nice quiet and walkable neighborhood. The rental is upstairs, private and separate entrance and couldn’t hear anything from below. About 10 min from a local coffee shop and some restaurants. Close to the freeway if needed too. Parking was plentiful. No issues just be sure to follow his instructions and read the signs about street cleaning days.Clear Communication-hands down very good. Quick to respond when reserving and checked in via the portal to let us know he was avail for questions if needed. Comfortable spot, spacious and easily accommodate two or more people.Would recommend this place 100% if you are looking to be far away from the downtown wackiness but close enough to everything you need. No complaints and five stars all around. Not sure the photos do any justice Thanks Tyler! Looking forward to a return.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property because I love the location. It's close enough to downtown and all the amenities of a city, yet just far enough (approx. 1 mile) outside that you see kids walking down the street and families heading to the park.

What makes this property unique

There is a truly cozy feeling to the space. It's hard to describe without sounding cheesy, but you just feel very comfortable and at-ease when you're here.
