Modern Tee at Tamarron Resort (Gambel Oak #761) is our 1 bedroom + loft condo featuring a full kitchen, one full bath with modern updates, and two decks. Great WIFI speeds of 100+ mbps. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

Beautifully updated condo! Features a comfortable Queen bed in main level bedroom, sleeping loft with queen bed (steep stairs), electric fireplace. Enjoy some home cooked meals in your full kitchen. Fully remodeled bathroom with walk-in shower. There is dining table seating for 4. Flat screen TV, DVD player. Stackable washer/dryer in the condo for your convenience. Back deck with plenty of seating and an electric grill. Gorgeous views!

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions. There is a $20 per person ski shuttle to purgatory on weekends - tickets must be purchased in advance and the pick-up location is in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

It was very clean and bright, the beds were super comfortable, the space was perfect for my family of 4, the balcony was so nice, and the bathroom was big. It was far enough away from town that it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to be convenient (w/in 20-30 min drive) The pool and hot tub were amazing, we used the gym one day too and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was super easy. Possibly our favorite place we’ve ever stayed. Also-if you are contemplating the train - DO IT!

Family trip

We had a great time with our two little ones on this trip. The kids loved the amenities like the indoor pool, my husband enjoyed the gym, and we all enjoyed watching the wildlife from the large windows. It’s a 20 minute quick trip into Durango for anything you need and the VRBO is well stocked with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The stairs are definitely steep but that is told ahead of time and it wasn’t an issue. The host was very kind and communicative. Would definitely stay again!

The master bedroom bed was so comfy that I didn't want to leave... I really enjoyed the private view of forest from the back patio, and the condo was so quiet it was a very rejuvenating experience. This is also a great place to work remotely too with dependable WIFI. Would stay again! :)

Great Location. Tamarron is 20 minutes from town and close to many hiking trails. We have been coming to Durango for 10 years and love the town and area.The condo was not very nice. We ended up washing all of the dishes, glassware and pots and pans before using. They were filthy. We were baking a dish in the oven and the smoke alarm went off. The oven had not been cleaned in ages. The bedding was old and odd....blanket and sheets threadbare and the comforter was very, very heavy (like a weighted blanket). There were plenty of bath towels and the bath was clean. The drains were very slow.The couch which is supposed to act as a bed smelled as if someone very sweaty had slept there multiple time. The blankets there were disgusting. The sleeping loft has been proclaimed off limits.A major disappointment for our two week stay!

My Experience

We really liked this resort and the setting is beautiful! Everyone was so helpful and kind. Being a one bedroom, a king size bed may work better. Also, a welcome packet of coffee would have been nice too; have always had that at other VRBO’s. When being the second one to take a shower, there could be a little more hot water and definitely a shower mat for the tub as it was slippery when wet. Aside from the minor things, it was a Great condo! Very warm and cozy.

It was quiet and we felt like we were in a secluded place even though there was a golf course right outside and it was a condo. Fully stocked kitchen and I truly appreciated the master bedroom in its own room and not open plan. There was a grill in the balcony and we were able to buy groceries and eat at our home away from home. I have 3 older kids... we were comfortable. I slept in the master bedroom, my daughter (19) slept on the full bed in the loft, one son (16) slept on the couch, and one son (21) elected to sleep on the porch in his sleeping bag! Lol. We weren’t able to take advantage of the hot tub and sauna but my son was impressed with the gym and we would definitely stay here again. One bath was our only inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again. Would be really great during winter as a ski lodge.
