About the Villa:
Nestled between the emerald jungle and blue Caribbean Sea is a private enclave called Tankah. Directly on the beachfront is Villa Coccoloba. The open concept design of Villa Coccoloba seamlessly integrates several outdoor living areas with the comfortable, and well-appointed interior. The property has marble flooring throughout. Each room is uniquely decorated with natural stone accents, built in cabinetry, custom made furniture and original, local artwork. Floor to ceiling windows and patio doors open up to stunning seascapes and ocean breezes.

Oceanfront, guests can enjoy the 6 hole putting green. A unique feature of the property, “Crab Alley” is a relaxing place to watch the sunrise or enjoy a putt over afternoon cocktails. A large, heated, in-ground pool sits at the centre of the property, surrounded by a pool deck and tropical gardens. Each bedroom is oceanfront and equipped with toiletries, quality linens, and bathroom and beach towels. High speed fibre-optic internet is available throughout the property. The house has Smart TV’s, a portable Bluetooth speaker, and TV streaming services.

In addition to the spacious indoor areas, Villa Coccoloba provides outdoor pool and beach loungers, bar stools, and hammocks to comfortably enjoy the sunshine, pool, beach, and night stars.

A Chef, Housekeeper, and Groundskeeper work Monday to Saturday, and if you arrive or depart on a Sunday. Their services are included in the nightly rate. The cost of groceries is additional.

The Details:
The front entry hall, living room, dining room and kitchen can be found on the ground floor. Off the kitchen and overlooking the pool is an outdoor dining area perfect for afternoon lunches shaded by a giant palm. The first ensuite bedroom is also located on the ground floor and opens up to the oceanfront putting green. A powder room is located off of the main entry hall.

The second floor of Villa Coccoloba hosts a master suite, third bedroom, and a large media room. Outdoor balconies span the length of the house on both sides, overlooking the beach and putting green at the front, and the pool and patio at the back. The master suite has a spacious bedroom, separated from a smaller sleeping nook by a hallway and large bathroom. The third bedroom has a deluxe bathroom with a deep bathtub backlit by a glowing onyx wall, and an open couples shower.

About the Area:
A collection of private residences, boutique hotels, small restaurants and condominiums, Tankah has the laid back vibe of Tulum, and is surrounded by natural wildlife. Visitors will experience a tranquil bay for snorkelling, a vibrant jungle for observing natural wildlife, and the waves of the Caribbean sea breaking on an ancient reef which is home to hundreds of nesting sea turtles each summer. A short distance from the instagram famous beaches, music, vibrant nightlife, and gastronomy of Tulum, Tankah is the ideal location for a relaxing beach retreat.

A growing community, Tankah has several restaurants within a short distance of Villa Coccoloba. Options range from beach bar casual, to finer dining.

A short walk around the point from Villa Coccoloba, visitors can snorkel the shallow waters of Tankah or Soliman bay and experience an underground world of coral formations, manta rays, and vibrant sea life.

Approximately 8 km from Tankah is the growing community of Tulum. Once a hippie enclave, Tulum is now famous for its beautiful beaches, vibrant music scene, instagram worthy locations, and world class restaurants. Tulum has two areas – the beach (the “Playa”) and the town (the “Pueblo). Lining each side of the single beach road are chic boutique hotels, high-end shops, and restaurants. Visitors can access the sea via the public beach, several beach clubs (for a fee) and restaurants. An ancient Mayan trading port, the Tulum ruins sit atop a high cliff and offer amazing vistas of intriguing ancient architecture against the backdrop of the turquoise sea and white sand beach. The town of Tulum has modern grocery stores, produce stands, reasonably priced restaurants, shops, and is the local hub for modern convenience. Travelling up the Coba road, visitors can experience inland cenotes, local artisans, and the Coba Ruins.

Only 40 minutes North of Tankah is the city of Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen offers shopping, nightlife and is one of the the largest cities in Quintana Roo. En route to Playa del Carmen are numerous theme park attractions such as Xel Ha, Xcaret, Explor. Along the way, visitors can explore the deserted beaches of Paamul and Xpu-ha, snorkel with turtles in Akumal, and enjoy the mystical waters of many cenotes. For the golf lover, the world class golf course at Bahia Principe is a 15 minute drive from Villa Coccoloba.
