Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 bedroom loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Cozy waterfront cabin with sleeping loft (queen bed) and extra bed in living area (futon). . Stunning sunsets from this delightful waterfront cabin located amongst graceful Fir trees and Madronas - home to Eagles, Osprey, Woodpeckers, ducks, seagulls and seals. Take a walk down the unique, hand-hewn driftwood stairs to the rocky beach, or build a fire in the fire pit and relax while watching the sun set over. One guest said, 'This is like living in a National Forest on the water.'

This is the perfect setting for romance or a quiet best-friends getaway. There is nothing quite so pleasant as sitting around the firepit, rain or shine, watching the sun set, grilling steak or roasting schmoors.

Inside, the loft hosts a queen bed. Additional sleeping area is in the combination kitchen, living-room on a comfortable double futon - all with views to the water through the native-landscaped yard.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, particularly on weekends. The best of the Pacific Northwest: tall Firs, Madronnas, and Cedar trees filled with birdlife.

Downtown La Conner is known for its antiquing, fine restaurants and local artists.

So, bring your s'mores and hot dogs, jeans and flip-flops for a day (or a week or a month - we encourage longer-term renters too) at the beach. Step back to a tranquil and simpler place and time.

Nice little getaway!

  • 5 of 5

A perfect getaway from Seattle on the water. We saw a bald eagle from outside the window! The shower was the perfect water pressure and heat. Towels and wash cloths were super soft and nice. Loved the loft ! Beautiful waterfront views. Google maps got us there just fine!

Cozy Cabin with a Gorgeous View

  • 4 of 5

Lovely little place with windows in all the right places.

Need to be agile to climb to the loft, but the view through

the huge round window is worth it as you lounge up there reading.

Loft is tall enough to get around easily in a half crouch position.

Access to the beach is possible but a bit challenging, but once again worth it as it's so different from the beaches in SoCal.

A peaceful place of respite.

Cute cabin with a great view

  • 4 of 5

Location, location, location! Loved that it was right on a rocky beach. It was interesting how it was water at night and mud flats all the way out to the island in the morning. The cabin's away from it all, but it has most of what you need. That's the good! The bad (well, not really bad) is that a couple of cheap updates would make it so much better. A ceiling fan would give you some air circulation and make sleeping much more pleasant. The tiny little old box TV/DVD (there's no cable) could be updated to one of the new flat screen one so cheaply and it would take less room and have a better picture. And most importantly, putting a real door on the bathroom rather than the slide screen/curtain that is currently there would offer some privacy while in the bathroom. Easy, cheap upgrades! But that being said, the place is cute, and seems pretty well-cared for. The neighbors are great...very friendly people who brought us crabs they'd caught and cooked for dinner. Basically a nice, enjoyable stay. Expect "glamping," and you won't be dissapointed. We'd probably stay here again....

Great Getaway

  • 4 of 5

Great small cabin with excellent views especially at sunset. The only small complaint is a set of new pots and pans would be nice and there was no firewood. Over a great place to relax and enjoy the views.

Experience the PNW at it's finest

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short get-away from the city. The cabin was lovey, really just like the photos. I was a little sad to see just how close the neighbors were, but they were very quiet (maybe not home at all) and it turned out to not be a problem at all. The view from the house is amazing. Most of the day we were here was cloudy, so we didn't see much. But the clouds broke just enough for sunset, and what a treat that was! Thanks so much to the owners for sharing such a special place!

Heaven on the Water

  • 5 of 5

Spent a wonderfully restful 3 days here. Beyond our voices we generally only heard waves and birds. Cabin offers everything you need, including binoculars, games, and a beautifully written memoir by Patrick Lane (as well as several other reading selections). If you're an out-of-towner, be sure to check out Mt. Erie (all viewpoints) and Adrift (dog-friendly restaurant), both in Anacortes. .
