The Gallery Suite - by MUSC ★FREE PARKING★

Summary:
The Gallery Suite is located in historic downtown Charleston one block from Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and six blocks from King Street. The newly renovated house offers modern, clean accommodations located just a few steps from a spa, yoga studio and a great vegan restaurant. Other restaurants are within walking distance. This is a two room suite with a private modern large bathroom. Parking is provided onsite for one car. Welcome!

The Space:
The house is a traditional Charleston single house built in 1852. It has been renovated but still has its historic charm.

Other rooms available within the house: van Gogh Room, Jazz Room and Blues Room. Contact me for details.

Guest Access:
This is a private unit. Guests will have access to the entire unit.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is surrounded by the Medical University of South Carolina. It is a vibrant community that is just a few blocks from King Street, where you will find restaurants, bars and shops galore. Our neighborhood has restaurants, a yoga studio and a spa within steps of the house.

Getting Around:
You can either walk, bike or Uber to most any place. Parking is supplied onsite for one car and there is street parking available for other cars. We suggest an economy size vehicle to navigate the narrow downtown Charleston streets.

Other Things to Note:
The living room has a sleeper sofa.

Interaction with Guests:
We are available to help guests with any issues that may arise.

The Gallery Suite was perfect for our family of three. Karen was a great host. She provided extra unexpected touches such as a bottle of wine and snacks. The place is in a great location making it easy to get around Charleston.

Good location near plenty to do and plenty of restaurants, easy yo get where we wanted to go, although a bit noisy from helicopters at hospital. Nice big bathroom and nice sitting area although pull-out couch was not comfortable which was unfortunate as this was one of the main reasons we picked this location. Great to have off-street parking. Host was great - very communicative and very helpful. Would recommend!

Cozy, comfortable suite.

We enjoyed staying at the gallery suite. Cozy, very clean and the location was perfect for walking the neighborhood and into downtown Charleston. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner options nearby as well.

Host was incredibly responsive. Welcome wine bottle was a nice touch. Coffee maker & microwave in the room. Small but comfortable. Great location but probably best to have a car. Uber/Lyft can be costly based on demand.

A Perfect Getaway

My brother, sister and I truly enjoyed our stay in the MUSC Suite in the Parson Inn! The suite was comfortable for the three of us, the location was divine and the neighborhood offered great restaurants. We will stay again!

The Gallery Suite was a great home base for exploring Charleston. The check in process was easy and the free off street parking was convenient. Our suite was very clean and had everything we needed. Karen even left snacks near the entry as well as in the suite for her guests. We asked about an extra blanket and one arrived at our door within minutes. We were blown away by the quick response. There is a wonderful coffee shop, Bad Bunnies Coffee, a few blocks away and a great sandwich shop, Porchetta Shop, right next door. There is a free city bus that you can hop on right across the street. Charleston is an amazing city to explore on foot and Parsons Inn is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Great place to stay in Charleston

We loved loved our stay. It was clean and as described. the host had a lot of extra touches like snacks, water, and a gift for our anniversary that went the extra mile. If you are in decent shape it is in easy walking distance of historic downtown Charleston. Highly recommend!

Nice spot in Charleston

Great little space, only thing I will mention is that there is a hospital with lifeflight helicopter landings very regularly and very close by... Didn't bother us much, but something to be aware of if you are light sleeper or whatnot

Clean and comfortable

After a bit of a booking glitch, the owner upgraded me at no charge to the nicest unit in this lovingly refurbished guest house near MUSC. I loved the decor and appreciated the bottle of wine, as well as the prompt and courteous communication. The house is within a short walk to Prince and Cannon street cafes, and a longer walk to downtown. Off-street parking was a plus.

A Gem In Downtown Charleston!

We are a family of 4 from Colorado, who were visiting Charleston during the Thanksgiving 2024 holiday. Karen was a very hospitable and attentive host while we stayed at her beautiful cozy, centrally-located inn! Everything about the decor and surrounding architectural features of the home were quintessential historic Charleston- the beds were super comfy and the baths included everything we needed. The plush robes and soft slippers were a nice touch, as were the provided selection of snacks and a bottle of wine! The off-street parking was very convenient. Communication with Karen was super smooth and she helped us feel right at home. The central location allowed us to easily explore by foot and by car and it felt very nice to return "home" to this place at the end of each day. A highly recommended experience for those visiting Charleston!

Quiet and welcoming

We stayed here while dropping off our child at college. The bed was very comfortable. Our flight was late and we weren’t able to get dinner the night we arrived so the snacks and bottle of wine were wonderful to find I. Our room. Decor represents the community and was within walking distance of great restaurants. Karen was wonderful after we had issues with our flight. It was a great place to stay!

Good spot to see the city

This is a great little spot if you want to see historic Charleston but also drive and explore outside of the city. The parking spot was nice. The walk downtown was about 20 minutes walking. There are some good views on the way. The check-in was super simple and directions were clear. If you want a dinner right by the apartment try Goulette just two blocks down. Best service and great food! Thanks for a great stay!
