A stay at Hale Konani in the Pili Mai resort community has everything you need for the perfect Hawaiian vacation. This exceptional well-appointed three-bedroom, three-bath 1,500 sq. ft. condominium with central air conditioning is located on the Robert Trent Jones II designed Kiahuna Golf Course with beautiful ocean views beyond. A true tropical paradise, the Pili Mai resort community consists of one and two-story spacious condominiums and features a private recreational center including a family pool, keiki pool, heated spa, fitness center, and barbecue grills throughout the community.
Hale Konani features one of the best floor plans and locations within the complex with two king-bedded master suites with in-suite bathrooms and large closets, a third bedroom and full bathroom, a wide-open kitchen and living area and both a lanai for early morning coffee and spectacular sunsets and a courtyard for outside dinning for eight; being a ground floor end-unit with seventeen windows ensures a bright sunny interior! Hale Konani (unit 9M) is centrally located within the complex on the 9th fairway of the golf course and just steps away from the pool and fitness center. This unit is well-suited to comfortably accommodate up to six people.
Newly constructed in 2017, Hale Konani has all the amenities needed for a special vacation. The kitchen with its large center island and stainless-steel appliances is fully stocked with everything you need to take advantage of the local farmers markets and cook a gourmet meal at home. Recent upgrades to the unit include new ceiling fans, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures as well as a new refrigerator, dishwasher and washer and dryer and new tv's including a 65" LG OLED television in the living room.
Each of the bedrooms feature quality mattresses and linens to support a good nightâs rest and there is plenty of storage space for you and your guests to unpack and feel at home. A pack and play crib, highchair and stroller are provided for families traveling with small children.
To ensure your fun at the beach (a short 12-minute walk) and pool, there are six beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a small and large cooler and boogie boards. For the young children, there are plenty of beach toys and buckets.
Kauai does get hot so you will appreciate the central air conditioning throughout the unit. Other features include a washer and dryer, high speed internet, large flat-screen televisions, a Bose sound system, and a keyless entry lock system for easy check-in and added security.
Our property manager has implemented extensive cleaning protocols. Our unit is thoroughly cleaned for every guest arrival, with all surfaces and high-touch areas sanitized for your safety using products approved by global health agencies.

My husband Ed and I have been coming to Hawaii for years and Kauai has always been our favorite island. As we started thinking about retirement, we knew we wanted a place to escape the dreary Northwest winters and Kauai was top on our list. When we found Pili Mai, we knew this was the property for us. It had everything that was important to us and we knew we could make it our home.
We purchased the property while it was still under construction in 2017 and even though we show up as a new listing on VRBO, we have been renting our property since it was completed in November 2017. In the beginning, we were using a property manager but now that we are both fully retired, we decided we have the time to manage our rentals with the assistance of an on-island representative. We are excited to be able to provide personalized attention to every one of our guests.
Having owned another resort vacation rental for over 20 years and having stayed in rentals all over the world, we knew what is important to us when we stay at someone elseâs home and we have tried to think of all those small details when furnishing our place. Also, given the amount of time that we occupy the property ourselves, we wanted the quality and aesthetics to be something that we would enjoy. We hope that you will find your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as it is for us.

While we have always liked staying on the sunny southside of the island in Poipu with everything it has to offer, it was the quality and amenities of the Pili Mai community that made us choose this location for our home. Being one of the newest resort complexes on the island and being on a golf course but still within walking distance to the beach and shops and restaurants seemed like the perfect location for a Hawaiian vacation.

From the lanai, you can look out over the golf course, see the sparkling ocean in the distance and watch amazing sunsets in the evening. Our unit (9M) is also centrally located within the complex and only steps away from the pool and fitness center.
Lastly, we loved the size of the unit and layout. Natural light is important to us and we knew this unit being on the end of a building on the ground floor with 17 windows would provide us with a bright, airy setting, which is why we named our home Hale Konani (means "bright" in Hawaiian). Also, with almost 1,500 square feet of living space and basically two large master suites at either end of the unit, there is plenty of privacy for two couples. The third bedroom with another full bath in the middle of the unit is ideal for families or for a third couple.
