About this property
We love pets and they love our amenities
Welcome to our quaint little cottage nestled in the heart of old Summerville. The cottage is a little over a century old.; and, actually pre-dates the main house. We tried hard to strike a balance between updating the property and preserving its authentic historic charm. The cottage enjoys the shade of beautiful, majestic oak trees whose limbs almost touch the ground. Guests are allowed to tour the gardens next to the main house, built by the Prettyman family when Summerville was a sleepy little town. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a king-bed, the other with a full bed that accommodates 4 comfortably . Brand-new range, microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer . Also, new 4K HD TV's in living area and master bedroom. Kitchen is fully-stocked with coffee-maker ,toaster, blender , cookware, and utensils for those that like to fix their own meals. However, with so many stellar restaurants in the area, dining out is often the best option.

The cottage was clean, easy check in procedure. Bed very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were small, but we knew that going in. The grounds were breathtaking. Allison and Nic were very accommodating and responsive. Enjoyed the location. Walking distance to very quaint downtown Summerville.
We loved the peaceful atmosphere. Gardens were beautiful. Enjoyed it all, very comfortable.

Becky, thank you for your wonderful review. We encourage you to schedule your next visit for spring when the garden is in full bloom. It is gorgeous and aromatic.

Great place! So comfortable and cozy and clean. Set back from the road so it feels very private, which we loved! Allison is just awesome, what a wonderful person. We really enjoyed our time here while we waited for our new home closing! When we have friends and family visit, we will book the here!!
We had a great stay and it will be the place we look to stay every time we come to see our family!! Allison and Mr George are so hospitable and the place is so cute and has everything you need!!
We had a lovely stay in this historic cottage in downtown Summerville. We were delayed one day arriving, and the hosts were so understanding. Communication was seamless and the hosts responded very quickly. The cottage was clean and well-appointed. My husband was able to work in the mornings easily, given the WiFi. The walking path and garden were absolutely beautiful. As for our dog, she thoroughly enjoyed the doggy toy box. She also enjoyed exploring the area around Summerville. I would stay here again without hesitation.
The historic home was quaint and close to town . Plenty of room for us . It is private but not soundproof if your looking for a quiet place. My husband and I come to Summerville to visit family and enjoy being close to town for walkability to restuarants and shopping, This quaint historic cottage was close enough to do just that. We especially love Azalea park and it did not disappoint with all the azaleas in full bloom. We took our dog this time and she enjoyed the grounds. We love staying where we have outdoor spaces to enjoy. Unfortunately, we must have arrived before any outdoor prep for visitors was done, as there was no clean places to sit and enjoy the lovely grounds including the screened in porch. We will have to plan a little later visit next time .
This property is a gem! Very close to the charming historic town of Summerville, yet you feel like you are tucked away in a secret oasis. The many walkways and paths are lovely and dotted with sculptures and wooden trellises so walking our dogs was a treat!
Loved our stay. Property was as advertised - beautiful historic cottage sitting behind a wonderful old home and seated in picturesque grounds. Hosts were extremely welcoming, checking and out process was easy and streamlined.

This was the perfect spot for my mom and I to meet up for a girls’ trip. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be booking this house!
