Just steps to the beach, this lovely home offers panoramic views of the ocean with a wide front porch to enjoy the scenery. completely renovated in 2020, Seawinds offers beautiful interior space, new furnishings and the same wonderful views of the ocean,. Traditional floor plan with an upstairs loft. Enjoy walking along the Atlantic Ocean, and the easy commute to the sandy beach. Everyone, including four-legged members of the party will enjoy shady rest inside while viewing out the expansive living room windows to the ocean outside. Sleeps 10 (max.). 4 bedrooms, with additional sleeping in loft. (1K-1K-1K-1Q-1BB). 3 baths. 2 (4) passenger cart. High Speed Internet. Pet Friendly. Adjacent to beach access. Friday/Friday. 4:30 p.m. arrival/9:30 a.m. departure.

Well equiped kitchen and easy to cook in. Nice deck good views durring the day and night.

Great Location, Inaccurate information on Posting

The house was in a great location, right across from a beach access and close to the market/restaurants. However, this is a listing posted by a property management company on the island, Intracoastal Realty. They have different payment terms and policies that were not clearly stated in the VRBO posting. Additionally, under the list of amenities it says includes community pool. It does not reference that the community pool would require purchasing an additional pass at the Bald Head Island Club, another 150ish per person. The staff at were not friendly or accommodating for the incorrect amenities and lack of information needed on the posting. Other things to note was the property was not well maintained. There was a crack in the glass on the front door, golf carts are not in great shape, and there were some very rusty items that need to be replaced. We rent every year on the island and were disappointed with this house, mostly dealing with Intracoastal Realty.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice home, but needs some attention. The bathrooms connected to the bedrooms need some updates. Discolored grout, rusted shower doors, cracked tiles, etc. They are also tiny, no counter space. The shared hall bathroom was large and very nice. Some of the doors and windows on the home don't open well, if at all. Bicycles with flat tires, a grill that hasn't been cleaned properly were also a disappointment. Homes at this end of the south beach are pretty far from the ocean compared to the ones more east and the dunes block a lot of the view so felt more like ocean view than ocean front. A second floor porch would be nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented on this beautiful island for ten years, and this is by far the most beautiful home and the best location we have shared. Convenient to Marina, market and Conservancy The kitchen was beyond well stocked and had every comfort. The garage was packed with beach toys, chairs and bikes. The game cabinet sustained us once the sun went down.The sunset views in November had the sun sinking into the horizon and visible from every window deck and room. Completely in love with Seawinds!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Intracoastal Realty was tremendously responsive. We had a flat tire a some point on both of our golf carts and we were inconvenienced a whole 15 MINUTES while they came and replaced the flat tire with a brand new one! Excellent Service to say the least!The house does need some TLC. The screened in porch area needs painted and new mattresses in a few of the bedrooms would be recommended; new towels, washcloths; pillows etc.

The internet worked great for the occasional work. There was a bed frame issue in one of the guest rooms but not enough to lose sleep over. The house is located right next to a beach access point and within 20 steps you are there. Would recommend the house!

Interior. of home was good, exterior in poor condition.Both golf carts had issues: one would not go in reverse intermittently, the second one had completely bald tires on the front. Tire went flat in the pouring rain while returning from the marina.We had two visits to repair air conditioning out of service.The response to these issues was good from Intercoastal Realty.We have stayed on BHI many times and I would not recommend the home to anyone, especially given the coast.

Amazing views

We enjoyed our weekend at Seawinds. However lots of things for future renters to be aware of. Pros: Views are amazing Quick walk to the beach Inside is nicely remodeled and super clean Beds are firm but comfortable Cons: Intracoastal is not very clear about the tram reservation times. They note that they make reservations for you but they don’t confirm the times. When we arrived, the home is outdated on the outside - could really use some paint. The porch would not be suitable for small children or small dogs as there are lots of low areas and gaps for small dogs to escape off the second floor balcony. Also when we arrived, the lights on neither golf cart worked. Intracoastal sent someone the next day to fix one of them but I would think someone would check that before check in. The TVs did not work per the instructions. Someone came to look at them and said the cable boxes did not work so luckily we were able to stream cable as long as the internet worked. Overall the views made up for the “cons” but we would most likely not rent this property again.

Reviewer Comments: This Lovely 4bdr 3 bath house is across a cart path from the ocean with nothing between this house and the beach , and only a few steps to the walkway to the beach. One 6 person golf cart and one 4 person golf cart with loads of bicycles, beach chairs, floats, 2 ocean fishing rod and tackle, nice open air 10x10 tent top for shade at beach, beach toys etc. you will absolutely love this place and the best price on the beach we could find. Everything works well and there is a keurig and mr coffee for our morning coffee in the screed in porch overlooking the ocean.
