It's a large home accommodating 18 guests comfortably we needed a kitchen that could handle a hungry crowd coming home from the beach or exploring the Island. It was a pleasure working with you. Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our BHI vacation home. We agree the location is perfect! We are just a short walk to; the Shoals Club, Cape Fear Common, the Conservancy and East Beach! We meant it when we said, " there's no such thing as an insignificant detail." We researched mattresses too! We ultimately choose an ultra-premium plush mattress. We believe they appeal to most people as they provide a high level of comfort and support. An ultra- premium plush mattress plus high quality linens and pillows equals one great night sleep! We tried to think of everything and you are correct in saying "everything you have at your primary residence they have at their vacation home and then some!" Our goal is for our guests to pack light. So happy to hear your trip was "perfect".

Thank you for your review of our home, “A Shore Thing” during your recent stay for your son’s wedding. Your feedback is very valuable to us and to prospective guests. We appreciate your comments about what we believe are the top four most important features of the ultimate beach house; plenty of outdoor space, private bathrooms, ocean views and an open floor plan. There’s no shortage of outdoor space! Every room has access to; extended decks, deep porches, observation deck or screened porches. A variety of outdoor space is important for; entertaining, soaking up the sun, lounging in the shade, quiet solitude, enjoying the natural beauty of BHI and ocean views. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom. The three king size master bedrooms have beautiful adjacent tiled master bathrooms with jetted tubs, double counter height sinks, vanities with granite countertops, spa showers; rain showerhead, hand held shower and body jets. There’s a powder room upstairs for convenience. The additional three bathrooms are tiled with tub/shower combinations, vanities and granite countertops. The upstairs has an open floor plan; large kitchen, dining and family room. The expansive dining room table can accommodate twelve guests, raised teak bar an additional three guests and the table on the screen porch directly off the kitchen can seat eight more guests. Plenty of room for the whole family, group of friends, retreat or business meeting. Thanks again and congrats on your son’s wedding!

It's imperative that our littlest guests' feel comfortable and welcome too:) Providing quality and safe baby/toddler,child amenities; full size portable crib, high chair, booster seat, books, games, beach toys, beach towels, PlayStation, bikes and DVD's makes traveling with children; easier, more convenient and enjoyable for the whole family!

Cape Fear Station was named for the original US Life Saving Station that once stood along East Beach. Cape Fear Station boasts exceptional natural surroundings! We are within walking distance to; Cape Fear Common, a village green where families can enjoy shaded walking paths and wide grassy areas ideal for lawn games, sunbathing, relaxing and picnics. We are also within walking distance to The Shoals Club, Conservancy and East Beach, the Island's preferred beach. Cape Fear Station neighborhood is a very special place on Bald Head Island. Families will build memories of a lifetime well spent in our home, "A Shore Thing" located in the Cape Fear Station neighborhood.
