Welcome to Oriole House. Perfect for a group of friends to getaway or family vacation to the mountains no matter the season you choose to visit Big Bear. This furnished and relaxing retreat sits in a prime central location within a short walk to activities and the lake and offers all that you need to make lifelong memories together under the pines.

Snuggle around the toasty fireplace as you pop on a movie and watch the snow falling outside from the big open windows outside. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and staying connected as you prepare your home cooked meals in the kitchen, enjoy family meals at the table together, or dine al fresco out back in the magnificent patio area. Spacious and comfortable sleeping quarters and bathrooms are made up and ready for your when you need a great night of rest.

Venture outside where you can fully enjoy this incredible forest location, the private fenced yard provides ambiance and privacy as you enjoy the patio furnishings, and your own private hot tub under the stars. You will love relaxing and soaking your muscles here in the evenings after a fun day out on the mountain. Stroll down to the lake or Village for activities or hop in the car and you are within ten minutes to the ski resort- this is the ideal year-round location.

We have booked short stay rentals for over a decade and have never left less than a 5 star review. The heat, garbage disposal and toilet all broke in the 5 night stay that our family of four had in this cabin. The cabin was pretty and spacious, but the management and issues need fixed before it's rented again. We weren't able to check into the cabin until 40 minutes after the check in. A snow shovel was not provided, despite the Big Bear Vacations website guaranteeing one in every cabin, and after we called the office to provide one. They promised they would and did not, there was a major snow storm coming. Heat was an issue the entire week we booked. We had two kids with us and there was a snow storm during out stay. We reported issues with the heating system, they sent maintenance out to check and they said they couldn't find a problem and if it got below 60 degrees to call them. The next morning it was 57 degrees inside and they did nothing about it. They also committed to having the driveway plowed on the morning of our departure and that was never done. We had to dig out with our hands (since no shovel was ever provided), and use our four wheel drive truck with snow chains to get out. After we stated a bad experience, NO ONE from the property management company called to make it right or apologize. This was the worst customer experience we've ever had. We've been renting properties for 15 years in Big Bear and would never rent from Big Bear Vacations again.

Good Neighbor Policy enforced at all times. Removing trash and Wash Dishes. No Smoking, Parties, Events, Loud Music, Street Parking, or Over Occupancy Allowed. Fines/Evictions possible by both Code Enforcement and Big Bear Vacations.

Check-in after 4:00 pm - Check-out before 10:00 am
No Early Arrival/Late Departure During Peak Seasons or Holidays.

There is No Street Parking Allowed in Big Bear- Make Every Attempt to Get Cars Off the Street for Snowplows. November thru April the law requires snow chains in your cars.

Pet Policy-Pet Friendly Homes Only-$40/Pet/Night
Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
