Our cabin is 2200 sq ft., located 14 miles north of Woodland Park in Westcreek, across the road from Pike National Forest. Westcreek is an old mining town with loads of history. Creekside Cabin is nestled among 60 year old giant pines and cottonwoods, on 40 beautiful acres, with groupings of rock formations. An old rock fort for the kids.. A large rock fire pit, and smaller fire place outside the hot tub room.
As one of our guests stated, 'It is soothing to soul,' and it is!!
The sounds of Westcreek bubbling past the front of the cabin will simply wash away all the stresses that can accumulate with everyday life. There is quiet solitude with sounds of nature all around. There is an abundance of furry friends...and hummingbirds galore. We now have 3 red tail hawk, 3 Golden Eagle and 2 Bald Eagle that hunt our property. In the early morning or evening you will likely see our resident deer coming to drink from the creek, red fox, or blue heron on the water. One neighbor even spotted a Moose last Spring.
Down by the creek enjoy a game of horseshoes, or a game of bolo golf aka ladder golf, some call it hillbilly golf.
The cabin is newly renovated, with a large open floor plan. We do however try to limit our guests to 8 for the comfort of all.
The master bedroom is large with private bath, TV, a wood fireplace in the center of the room, and a reading area looking out to the pine covered hillside.
There is nothing more relaxing at the end of your day than a soak in the private hot tub, looking out to the stars and sipping a glass of our complimentary Colorado wine. If you're lucky it will be a full moon and you can use nature to light the room with a soft romantic glow.
Lots of games and puzzles.
We are close enough to everything, yet far enough to be away from it all....Pay us a visit, you won't regret it, in fact once you're here you'll never want to leave!!

About Jim or Deb Bruner
Jim and Deb are both Colorado natives. I know strange but true. Jim grew up in Colorado Springs but spent every weekend here in Westcreek and moved here permanently as a young man. Deb grew up in Denver and moved to Westcreek with her two daughters in 1998. Jim was also a single parent of two daughters. They met after Deb joined the Volunteer Fire Department where Jim had been training captain for 13 years. We absolutely can't think of another place we would ever want to live and feel blessed to be living our dream...
Jim or Deb Bruner purchased this Cabin in 1950
Why Jim or Deb Bruner chose Westcreek
This property has been in Jim's family years. Jim's grandfather purchased this property over 60 years ago when he and the owner couldn't come to an agreement over him fishing in the creek. It was of course private property. He told the owner if he would just sell him some of the property they wouldn't have to have this argument every time he came up to fish. The owner finally agreed to sell him a portion of the acreage and the rest is history. We love sharing the cabin and helping to make a special getaways that will make the kind of memories for others that we have...
What makes this Cabin unique
The location is perfect. Just off Hwy 67 on a well maintained county road. However you are away from everything. Our guests have described it as 'A Little Piece of Heaven'. Another called it 'Soothing to the Soul' There are so many things to do within a short distance for those who are active. We have some who barely leave the cabin, just content to soak up nature. Kids love the creek and the stone fort on the hill. Not to mention several tree swings around the property. It has something for everyone, even our furry members of the family.

What a great place and a great time! Thank you
It’s so relaxing in a beautiful serene setting.
We loved this place. The kids loved the rock fort and exploring the woods. The house has everything you need and we were so comfortable! Our dog loved the stream and the woods. We never even turned on a tv or screen- that’s how relaxed and how much other stuff there was to do. Thank you so much!
Peaceful Valley - Reiki Training Weekend
This is a beautiful and private location. We used it for a Reiki Training Class. Everyone was so pleased with the cabin. Beautifully decorated and cozy. We had a great weekend..
Truly lovely cabin.
We arrived after dark to the sight of a lit Christmas tree shining through the window. It was a welcome sight following the drive through the canyon with the snow flurries beginning. The entire cabin was decorated for the holiday which helped to make our stay truly comfortable and memorable. Our dogs loved the creek, the horses and the deer. It was warm enough to be able to hike the hill behind the cabin and explore the area. Perfect place for our time in the Rockies.
Such an amazing property.
My wife and I went to the cabin on our honeymoon and everything was perfect! They have places both inside and outside to have a fire which we used almost everyday. The property is beautiful and close enough to do day trips to the places we went (Pikes Peak, 7 Falls, and Garden of the Gods. I can't say enough good things about the property.
