Romantic Forest Hideaway, Hot Tub, WiFi, near Attractions & Breweries!
Why choose our cabin? We own and operate it ourselves and take a lot of pride and care in the cabin and in taking care of our guests. We are responsive and within a phone call away for any of your needs. Recently we added beautiful Granite countertops, new hardwood flooring in the kitchen and the bathroom has a vessel sink. Relax and enjoy true Colorado mountain style surroundings! I cannot tell you how many weddings, anniversaries, and proposals have happened here. On cleanliness, since we personally own and operate our home (not managed by a management company), we take extra precautions. This is to protect everyone who enters our home. We use clorox wipes/Lysol on all surfaces and touchpoints. Also, we use additional sanitizers in addition to our laundry soaps on our linens and bedding. I was a Director of HR for Marriott Hotels, so, I know what we are doing is going beyond industry standards. We hope you will consider our "home away from home" for your vacation this year. Also, the Pikes Peak region has a long history of hospitality for those who have sought a safe, clean space to heal from respiratory illness. Our nickname was once “Sun City” due to our 300 days of sunshine per year and our 1,106,604 acres of Pike National Forest, Garden of the Gods, and other parks and natural sites are the ideal way to Social Distance! Please join us to relax and unwind in our beautiful mountain hideaway that sits on 2 acres of tall Pines and Aspens! This amazing park like setting with Evergreens and Aspens will give you a feeling of privacy, however, is within 2 miles of Hwy 24 and 2 more miles to groceries, restaurants, and gas. A cozy 3 bedroom, 1 bath with private 6 person lighted hot tub, wood stove, unlimited WIFI and Direct TV. Our property is very close to Mueller State Park, so we get a variety of wildlife. We are conveniently located near Pikes Peak, Cripple Creek, Woodland Park and approximately 25 minutes to Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak Highway/Garden of the Gods area. For a Colorado experience, we furnished it with log style furnishings. With large windows in the living room you feel as if the outside is a part of the inside! Look out the window one way and you are surrounded by forest and deer (they frequent the area). Look the other way and watch TV and the fire in the wood stove. No smoking is allowed in the home. The 6 person hot tub has a lounge seat (lights and waterfall) provides the perfect spot to let the stress melt away while watching the sunset and stars! Important: We added privacy fencing on the deck in March 2021 because someone is starting to build a home to the right of our property. We still back up to open space and bought the acre to the left because we value the privacy and love to be surrounded with the Pines and Aspens. Fire up the lava bowl next to the hot tub and watch the flames dance in the night sky. You also have unlimited WIFI, DIRECTV, Blu-ray DVD player, DVD movies and board games. The property backs up to an open meadow where you can play kickball in the summer and sledding in the winter! We provide sleds! During summer months play horse shoes in the back yard or basketball on the half court (on concrete). Top it off with a swing in the hammock while enjoying the light breeze! The main level includes the living room with wood stove, kitchen , dining room, bedroom (full-sized bed), laundry and full bath. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, both with queen sized beds. We provide a fully stocked kitchen, all linens, towels, soaps, shampoos, blow dryer and several other amenities.
This retreat is supplied with a binder filled with information about this property as well as the local area! This includes brochures on area attractions.
There are many attractions in the area! Pikes Peak (elevation 14,110), Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Cripple Creek (casinos, gold mines), Woodland Park, Air Force Academy, Canon City (Royal Gorge, river rafting, train tour, zip lines, prison museums), Santa's Village, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff dwellings, Dinosaur Resource Center, ATV trails, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, golfing, wineries, breweries, and plenty of restaurants. There is something to enjoy for everyone!
Please note*** This is a NON-Smoking/vaping home. Cigarettes may be smoked outside away from windows and doors. Cigarette butts must be placed in the can provided on the back deck.

We loved our stay at this charming cabin. We saw so many deer from the porch and enjoyed being out in nature. It’s close enough to town to be convenient too. Thank you for the great stay!
We had such a wonderful time at this peaceful cabin. Every little detail was perfectly lovely. The location is serene and we enjoyed walking along the dirt roads and viewing the wild life. Thank you for a perfect sisters weekend. We cant wait to return!
The host was very accommodating and responded very quickly to any questions both prior to booking and during our stay. During our stay we were looking for sleds and after looking around the property and being unable to find them, I messaged the host and Robin replied within minutes and even offered to bring some over if I couldn’t find them. This cabin had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Kids loved the hot tub and the Robin Hood theme. After watching Robin Hood one night they started to notice decorations from movie and had fun finding them. Wish our schedule allowed us to stay more than 2 nights.
The property was lovely, not quite as secluded as we originally thought but was beautiful nonetheless. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The cabin was clean and well maintained. We had no complaints about our stay whatsoever.
Brought my wife here for her birthday and it was perfect for us. Nice and private up on a mountain but still a reasonable drive from both Denver and Colorado Springs. We would love to stay here again in the future!
We had an amazing time! The VRBO was exactly as we expected, super cozy. My kids loved everything about it. The hot tub was a hit. We grilled, we sat under the stars, we saw fox and deer every day. It was a great vacation, and as described, it was very near a lot of attractions.
Cabin is beautifully decorated and stocked with all our needs. Deck has great views and lots of wildlife passes through. Hot tub was wonderful! We had an outstanding time reconnecting with family. Highly recommend this rental. The communication with the owner was perfect as well. We hope to make this a regular for our family vacations.
My wife and I had a great time on our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy. It was just what we were looking for.

Benjamin,
Thank you so much for the nice review! I am glad you found it clean and cozy! With Covid, we try very hard to make sure our cleaning standards go above and beyond. We hope to see you in the New Year!

About the host
Hosted by Henry and Robyn Reed
Henry and I have been married 37 years and spent the last 30 of them in Colorado! We love the mountains and have spent time river rafting, mountain biking and hiking. We love the snow and enjoy all the wildlife Colorado has to offer!
Why they chose this property
We found this property to be so private, yet close to everything! We love the park-like setting, the trees and the deer that frequent the area! It sits on enough land that it is hard to see the neighbors through the trees - you really have to look for them! We also love the cabin feel with the tongue and groove ceilings. There are so many windows that you feel like the outside is a part of the inside. It is very relaxing!
What makes this property unique
There is something sort of magical about this property! It is so quiet and peaceful...the hot tub was installed brand new in December of 2015. I There is a wood stove, wifi, Roku TV’s, horseshoe pit, basketball court and backs up to open space with a baseball diamond too! In the winter there is a sloping hill to sled on, and we provide the sleds!
