The Space:
THE SPACE
You'll stay in a cozy king room with a full bathroom on the 5th floor of the Grand Lodge, a 3-star property of individually owned condos. The building has real character—it was built in 1999 and shows its age with a 1990s-style room aesthetic—but it delivers solid comfort and all the practical amenities you need. No fancy resort bells and whistles here; instead, you get honest, straightforward hospitality and quick response times from us whenever you need something.
The room is designed for two guests and includes a king bed, private entrance, and dedicated workspace if you need to catch up on email between adventures. You'll have free parking (one pass per room) and access to high-speed internet throughout.
AMENITIES & SHARED SPACES
This is where the Grand Lodge really shines. You have year-round access to a heated pool and hot tub (both open 365 days a year), a fitness center, steam room, and complimentary wireless internet. There's also a gift shop and a cozy fireplace in the lobby where guests often gather. As a BookTraverse guest, you'll also get convenient ski and bike storage through our partnership with Butte & Co, plus access to our virtual concierge service—think of us as your local knowledge hub for everything from hidden trailheads to restaurant recommendations.
Complimentary town shuttle service is available, so you can leave the car at your parking spot.
BEDROOM & BATHROOM
Your 1 king bed is paired with 1 full bathroom, keeping everything close at hand. We provide bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, and keep the space clean and well-maintained. Note: this unit does not have air conditioning.
KITCHEN
Your room includes a coffee maker and access to kitchen facilities, so you can prep breakfast or pack snacks for the mountain.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS LOCATION
100 yards to the ski resort's edge—that's it. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the lift. Downtown Crested Butte is a 6-minute drive, with restaurants, shops, and evening energy. The best hikes in Colorado are 5–25 minutes away (check our guidebook for our top picks). The Gunnison-CB Airport is 40 minutes out if you're flying in.
You're staying in the most affordable building in Crested Butte that offers this level of amenities and location proximity. That matters.
GOOD TO KNOW
This unit does NOT allow pets (only 1st and 2nd floors are pet-friendly). You may see pets on other floors since owner-occupied units can have them under the building's HOA policy—just something to be aware of.
Check-in information and any special requests (like mid-stay cleaning, which costs $100 and requires 24-hour notice) are handled through our external guidebook portal. You'll receive an email link with everything you need.
The Grand Lodge building and its amenities are managed by a separate HOA company, which means we don't control maintenance schedules or repair timelines. We do provide quick communication and friendly support, but repairs and amenity downtime are managed by the building. If an amenity is temporarily out of service during your stay, we're unable to offer refunds—it's a quirk of condo living, but we keep you informed.
We offer EV charging if you're driving an electric vehicle.
We don't provide daily housekeeping (Airbnb-style self-catering), but mid-stay cleaning is available on request for $100 with 24-hour notice.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the condo and Grand Lodge amenities. The Grand Lodge has a Pool, Hot Tub, Gym, Steam room, free parking (guests are given one parking pass per room) , EV charging and is in the perfect location to Mt. Crested Butte. (please note if any of the amenities are not operational during your stay, we will not offer a refund as we don't have control over the amenities).
The Neighborhood:
We are a short distance from the town of Crested Butte where Elk Avenue provides a great place to shop, dine, visit historic buildings and art galleries.
The area offers outdoor activities in all seasons! It is a great place to enjoy hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and snowshoeing.
The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a 45-minute drive from the Grand Lodge. Landmarks and attractions are easily accessible and the resort is just a 5 min walk away!
Getting Around:
Most Guests bring their car to get around (we have a free parking lot with EV charging), but there are shuttles to get around if you'd prefer!

Please note: we do not do daily linen service like a traditional hotel (this is Airbnb style). However, if you'd like a turnover to be done during your stay, please give us a 24 notice so we can coordinate with the cleaner. There is an extra cost for this, which is $100.
