This place has been wonderful for us for several years now. It's quiet, rustic certainly, clean, has everything we need. The views are spectacular and the owner is just great. We hope to be back.
We had a great stay and enjoyed all the area had to offer. We’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend a stay at Melanee’s cottage.
The property is exactly like the pictures but better. The view is amazing, location is quite and comfortable. Easy access the many towns & hiking locations. Would stay again.
This rustic cottage is a slice of true Maine. Lobster boats outside the window. Friendly people and lobster rolls. We would come again and again. John and Melanee are wonderful, as is the entire family.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The salt water view was beautiful.. especially during the early morning sunrise. The cabin is rustic but with all necessary amenities. Due to age, the floor has a bit of a slant at certain spots so I wouldn't recommend to people with balance issues. The hostess, Melanie, was cordial and responsive. The doggies were friendly and the weather was perfect. Wish I didn't have to leave.
Exactly as described, but better.
Words can’t describe waking up each morning and seeing the great view and watching the activities of a small lobster harbor.
Great location, comfortable bed.
Everything we needed.
A lovely little cottage with a nice view and kayaks available ( watch the rocks))
The owners john and Melanee were both extremely nice people!
Thank you!
We had a great time in a quiet cove. The owners were friendly and answered any questions we had. It’s a quaint cabin that gives you the feel of staying on a boat. Loved it! Convenient location and beautiful.
Small, rustic and well-equipped cabin with phenomenal view of the water
The cabin is small but well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The location is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy the beauty of Maine.
The view of the lobster boats is amazing, and it is a great place to watch the sunrise or the sunset.
We love this place. It's rustic, as described, but the cottage has everything we need and more. The owner is terrific -- friendly and helpful and immediately responsive to the smallest question. The area is beautiful, the food options wonderful, and we'll probably be back if the owner will take us!
The cabin was nice and cozy . It overlooked the bay and the working lobster boats. Very idyllic. The owner's dogs were friendly and enjoyed playing with my dog.
The neighborhood was safe and I enjoyed walking to the landing up the street.
Melanee’s cottage was the perfect getaway for the two of us. The cottage is cozy with a well equipped kitchen and wifi but the real selling point is the view of the water. It’s a serene setting that affords a relaxing way to end each day. You will be an easy 10 minute drive from beautiful Damariscotta and all points down the peninsula are no more than 30 minutes away. Be sure to take in the views from the Pemaquid Point lighthouse! The cottage is also convenient to historic Waldoboro and all points on the coast, up Route 1. A very enjoyable stay.
This is the best little cottage you could hope for - the pictures do not do this place justice! I spent every night in this cozy cottage grilling dinner and every morning and evening looking out at the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. With working lobster boats in the water, this place could not be more idyllic. Fantastic hiking nearby, kayaks provided, and the most responsive and friendly host you could ask for. I loved my stay! Would definitely stay again.
Just what the doctor ordered…relaxation, amazing views, dog friendly…
As described…simple, but outfitted with all you need. Very relaxing…beautiful area, sites, and food.
Lobster right off the boat at The Wharf at bottom of front yard.
Dog had playmates and finding a rental where you can open the door and just let your canine run and swim was special.
Melanee and John were readily available to answer any questions.
Loved our stay.
Enjoyed watching the lobster boats and activities on Muscongus bay. Beautiful sunrises. Cottage was as described. Cozy and comfortable. The host was friendly but not interfering. Would recommend to friends and stay again. Thank you for a pleasant visit to Maine!
