Pemaquid Beauty

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been to Pemaquid before but this was our first stay at the lighthouse cottage and it was wonderful. We took our two children with us and the place was the perfect size for our family of four. No detail was missed for the guests: bed linens, towels, accommodations in the kitchen and best of all a letter highlighting the best of the area. We loved venturing to the lighthouse a few yards away, walking over the rocks. I think we were there almost every day. The food at the Seagull was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also loved the amazing sticky buns from the Cupboard Café. We found the gem in The Contented Sole. Our day trip to Monhegan was breathtaking, as was the trip to the Coastal Botanical Gardens.

The cottage is ideally located and quaint inside and out. We loved it.

Perfection at Pemaquid Point!

  • 5 of 5

We have always loved Pemaquid Point but this was our first time actually staying in the area. And this delightful cottage further endeared the area to us! With the lighthouse just steps away, we were able to spend so much time lounging on the rocks, watching the waves crash. And when we were out and about there was so much to explore (after enjoying breakfast at the Seagull or savoring sticky buns atThe Cupboard Cafe). There are so many land preserves and hiking trails, we hardly made a dent in our list! Then there was the Hardy Boat Puffin cruise (and, yes, we saw puffins!) and hours wandering the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. And after each of our adventures, we were happy to return to the cottage, which was cozy, inviting and perfect! We lacked for nothing except more time to savor early summer in the magnificent place. Let me stop lest I start to gush. Thank you so much!

A lovely cottage in a spectacular spot

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed a most memorable week at the lighthouse cottage. The location is at the end of Pemaquid Point in breathtaking with the famous lighthouse only steps away. It is an ideal mix of quiet, yesteryear feel and spectacular scenery. The cottage itself has been lovingly restored and is cozy and comfortable with a rustic feel but well equipped for a nice stay. The location is only minutes from lots of activities including Pemaquid Beach -an amazing fine white sand oasis- and the nearby harbor where we paddled boarded most every day and always had something new to explore. Several good places to eat, including Anchor Inn in nearby Round Pound, Shaws in New Harbor, The Contented Sole near the fort and right next to the cottage is the Seagull Restaurant and shop. In short, a perfect place to enjoy Maine the way it used to be.

Quiet and classy

  • 5 of 5

This adorable cottage provides the perfect sanctuary for a quiet Maine getaway. Decor is a cross between LL Bean and Ralph Lauren - photos are spot on. Perfect for couples or girlfriends wanting to get away from it all. A great spot for walking on the rocky shore, reading and watching the sea. Well stocked kitchen, loads of towels. Laura saw to our every need and provided loads of helpful information.
