Quality Maine time

  • 4 of 5

Quintessential Maine cottage as advertised. Well cared for, well stocked, and comfortable. Superior communications with owner/manager. Location prime for not being directly on water. Lighthouse views from inside cottage and a peek at the water from porch and dining table. We enjoyed the safe walking roads with marvelous views and easy access to the Sea Gull's extensive and well-prepared menu. The recently reopened Harbor Room restaurant on 130 a pleasant surprise. We had a lovely time at the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland on a rainy day. We would definitely return again.

The Ultimate Maine Experience!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is located at the perfect spot, just steps away from the Pemaquid lighthouse. We really enjoyed sipping our morning coffees on the porch listening to the crashing waves!

The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and has all of the amenities you'd want on a vacation in Maine. Would definitely highly recommend and we look forward to going back in the future!

Old fashioned cottage by the sea.

  • 5 of 5

I totally enjoyed my stay for three weeks this summer. It's where I want to be on Pemaquid Point. I have loved this location for thirty years... the Lighthouse, the granite cliffs, the crashing waves, the Milky Way, the sky, the lobster, the harbors, the sun rises and the cool breezes in August! It's a slice of Heaven.

This cottage worked well for my guests and I. I hosted three sets of company in three weeks. The cottage had enough towels and fresh sheets so that I never had to go to a laundromat. The kitchen was very functional, refrigerator was cold, the stove and oven worked well and it has plenty of cooking gear. The wicker furniture was surprisingly comfortable and I usually dislike wicker. The beds were confortable except for the twin in the front bedroom which was too soft I thought. The wifi was fast. The hot water was plentiful.

My favorite thing about the cottage is the windows and the natural light that comes in. The cottage shares a yard with a beautiful garden next store, I would sit with my morning coffee and watch the bees, butterflies flutter around. We all enjoyed easy walks along the shore and to the Pemaquid lighthouse. The is an excellent restaurant and sweet gift shop just yards away. It's a touristy area, but it is not noisy, it's quiet save for the Seagulls above.

I am planning to return next year. We had a leaky faucet, I called the owner and it was fixed the next morning as I was taking a walk. Thank Laura.

Pemaquid Beauty

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have been to Pemaquid before but this was our first stay at the lighthouse cottage and it was wonderful. We took our two children with us and the place was the perfect size for our family of four. No detail was missed for the guests: bed linens, towels, accommodations in the kitchen and best of all a letter highlighting the best of the area. We loved venturing to the lighthouse a few yards away, walking over the rocks. I think we were there almost every day. The food at the Seagull was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also loved the amazing sticky buns from the Cupboard Café. We found the gem in The Contented Sole. Our day trip to Monhegan was breathtaking, as was the trip to the Coastal Botanical Gardens.

The cottage is ideally located and quaint inside and out. We loved it.
