Welcome to "Casa De Pearl" Paradise at Pirates Cove, Manteo NC. Pirates Cove features many amenities including pool, hot tub, playground, restaurant, tiki bar, 25-30ft boatslip, and the best offshore fishing on the East Coast. “Case De Pearl” was updated in 2020 and features a full kitchen with stainless appliances, master bedroom with plush king size bamboo mattress, Bamboo memory foam zoned pillows, alcove room with bunk beds and washer/dryer, living room with a LazyBoy queen sleeper sofa, dining are with high-top table, all furniture and artwork brand new 2020. Gorgeous views of the pond and water from the balcony. Boat slip to use for your pleasure, up to 29 foot boat. Come relax and enjoy this slice of paradise.

Everything was perfect. The condo had tons of natural light, which is always a positive! It was decorated tastefully. I greatly enjoyed walking on the docks once the sun sank lower (it was HOT this week)! The host was great! No issues with anything.

Clean Space, Great Location

The property was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Pirates Cove is a great community and very convenient to many local attractions. If I could make any changes to the condo, it would be a new shower head (maybe would fix the low water pressure in the shower, and a fitted sheet that fit a little tighter. All over a great spot to stay.

Comfortable bed

I often have difficulty sleeping due to uncomfortable beds. This property is the exception to that rule. very comfortable and very tidy overall.

What a fun property and location.

We stay at OBX several times throughout the year to enjoy on beach driving and riding our bikes. I have to say this one is on our favorites list now. Location for all the things we love to do was great and it was our first time staying in Pirates Cove - the privacy, guard check in, and the grounds were beautiful. We had easy access to all the property features. Lots of walking paths with all the boardwalks around the canal. FAVS: The bed, best sleeping I think we have ever done in a rental property. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. Towels, they were ample and plenty to go around. Property was super clean and the outdoor patio furniture was perfect. We were able to dine outdoors one evening. Hubby loved the Smart tv and access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and all the movies. Views of the canals, and many ponds around the property. Quick walk to the sound and the marina. Can't wait to come back. Will stay again.

Perfect location

We had a great stay in this condo. It was sufficient room for our family of 5. A/C worked great against the heat wave with humidity during our stay. Marina was nice and location was perfect for traveling to popular OBX sites. Access to fitness center and clubhouse with pool was a bonus. Clubhouse had cool activities that you do have to pay extra for during your stay if you choose to participate. Balcony great to sit on and enjoy the view too. Overall, it was clean and had ample kitchen supplies for eating in. Highly suggest washing dishes and kitchen utensils before use as that area does need a deep clean-found food dried on kitchenware and crumbs in the drawers with “clean” silverware. We had a “palmetto bug” visit us and the owner quickly notified the office who had pest control spray. Told by pest control this was normal for the South and have heard this from friends too who live in the Carolina’s but still alarming when it’s not your normal. King bed was very comfortable but pullout had springs jabbing you-good enough for my kids to tolerate but definitely not us adults. Upper bunk had window which would be nice if it had a curtain at night-kids thought a little creepy. Bring chargers for outlet use because there are no USB ports. Two tv’s were nice so kids could watch one while adults could watch the other. Washer and dryer combo perfect to use but definitely bring your own beach/pool towels. Would stay in Pirates Cove again!

Pros: *Location was very convenient and located near everything. *The full kitchen was very nice when we didn't want to go out into town to eat. *Was very nice to walk around. *Liked having the pool right nearby us for when we wasn't able to make it to the beach due to the riptides. *Loved having the balcony *Condo was a nice size *Liked having the TVs in both the master bedroom and the living room. *Washer and dryer was very convenient Cons: *When we arrived the screen door to the balcony was busted up, and just sitting in the condo next to the couch. While we was able to put it back on, it came off again a couple days before we left. We figured at that point we may as well not bother/mess with it. *The top of the ottoman set near the couch was busted where the top wouldn't properly sit on top. *The shower head worked but had a visible crack/leak around the handle that held it. *The Jacuzzi at the pool was busted the whole time we was there. Husband was very bummed since that was one of the things he was looking forward to with this location. *Went to grab spoons from the drawer first day, and a few were all crusty and gross. *Bottom of the microwave handle was coming off, so had to grab from the top to use it. *Felt like the smart AC had times it didn't really wanna run, and it got very warm in the living room area a few times (ended up having the balcony door open to let the breeze in) Overall we still enjoyed ourselves, but was a smidge disappointed for the price.

Great location!

This place is in a safe neighborhood close to everything (short drive)—food, entertainment, beach, activities and attractions. My kids are 3 & 7 and they had fun at the playground and guest swimming pool. The only downside of renting this condo is it doesn’t have elevators. However, my kids and I don’t mind the stairs. The condo we stayed at needed minor cosmetic repair but it didn’t take anything from our enjoyable experience. Beds were comfortable. Amenities as described in listing. No surprises. We’ll rent again if we come back to this area next year! Loved it!

Had a little bit of a hiccup during check in but the office helped us out! The night before we left we noticed there was still unwashed dishes in the dishwasher from the previous stay and there was a used water bottle on the counter top when we arrived. Housekeeping may need to check these things in the future! The place itself was cozy, well decorated and clean! Pirates cove is beautiful. Lots of docks to walk on and places to fish. Would definately stay here again!

Clean, decorated nicely. Close to the pool and tennis courts! Tons of towels and extra bedding. Extended our stay in Pirates Cove - we had stayed in a larger condo with extended family the week prior and didn’t need all that space for just the four of us. I did miss the elevator in that other building! Couldn’t quite figure out the tv but we also didn’t reach out for help. We kept busy without it! You cant beat the privacy and amenities of Pirates Cove! Book it over a hotel if you are torn!

Beautiful condo close to everything!

We loved the condo and Pirate's Cove. It is beautifully decorated (even down to the Rae Dunn coffee cups) and has everything you need for a fun and comfortable stay. I am seriously going home and buying the pillows and mattress that are in the master. Our family loves tv in our downtime and they all commented on the amount of choices. Our little guys (4&6) loved the bunk room space and it was nice how we could close them off and still enjoy the rest of the condo after their bedtime. We hope to come back again!

We had a great time here and the place was very nicely updated and maintained. We had our 4 kids along and we fit fine with no space issues (although we were out most of the day). We had a small check-in confusion initially but Justin smoothed it out immediately and everything else was great!

This property was in a beautiful location and had a lot of great amenities for families, it was clean and mostly updated. This particular condo was advertised as 2 bedrooms but it is really only 1 bedroom. It has bunkbeds that are located in a very tiny hallway that also houses the hot water heater and washer/dryer. This area was REALLY tiny, had no outlets and a window right next to the top bunk with no curtains. We have 2 children, 1 is a preteen girl who couldn't fit in that hallway, have privacy in there or plug anything in. We had to find alternate accommodations for her as it was not comfortable at all for her. My son slept on the pull out couch but this was just as inconvenient because we had to break everything down in the morning and pull it all out at night. We thought 2 bedrooms meant 2 actual bedrooms, not a hallway with bunkbeds and a master bedroom. Disappointed in this listing as it feels like it was false advertising. Not to mention that we paid a premium for it.

Great Couple's Getaway

Great central location if you are looking for something accessible to but away from the beach strip clutter with the added security of being in a gated resort community. Most of the north end/central Outer Banks activities/sites are easily accessible. Casa de Pearl was well equipped with all the essentials. Furnishings and decor were very nice. Just need to bring clothes and whatever toys you'll need. My wife and I did a little bit of everything, touring the national park sites, fishing, birding, beach-combing, shopping, and enjoyed lots of fresh local seafood. Would strongly consider again for future Outer Banks visits.

We absolutely love Pirate's Cove and all it has to offer. As avid offshore anglers, this location is great for fishing, relaxing and everything in between. Take a quick trip offshore and catch Marlin, Tuna, Mahi, Golden tilefish, and much more. Pirate's Cove is truly a Boater's paradise. We enjoy walking to the Tiki Hut for a quick drink, eating at Blue Water, sipping our morning coffee on the balcony watching the ducks, taking a walk around the shore, swimming in the pools, and of course watching all the boats come in to see the catch of the day. Manteo has so much to offer and its a great escape from city life and less tourists than other cities in the OBX. Manteo is a quaint town with neat restaurants and shopping. Pirate's Cove is just 5 minutes to the beach, and lots to do. The gated community is secure and staff are very friendly.

The name "Casa De Pearl" has a unique love story behind it. Man met Woman and they fell in love. They decided one day to start an oyster farm and enjoyed cultivating oysters in the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton. Over the years they were able to feed many families with their oysters and we enjoyed eating oyster rockefeller every holiday. Pearl means great rarity or worth and we think Pirate's Cove is a tranquil getaway that is rare.
