Come stay in our privately owned non-smoking 1 bedroom condominium nestled in the midst of the beautiful San Juan Mountains, located less than 200 yards from the main ski lift. Our unit has a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with private bath, large closets, living room with wood burning fireplace, queen size sleeper sofa, satellite television and a private patio. There is also plenty of parking.

Angelhaus Condominiums are conveniently located at Durango Mountain Resort, just 25 miles north of downtown Durango, within an easy driving distance of beautiful Mesa Verde National Park and the historic mining town of Silverton, Colorado.

Experience world class skiing, snowboarding, the alpine slide, rock climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, and the famous Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Great location and value, good communication too!

We stayed 5 nights for the kids ski race, great location, everything worked well, super warm, we never used the fireplace but the included wood was great. Will try to book for next year too!

Great place to stay

Very comfortable for my wife and I just a short walk to the lifts. The furniture is a little dated and the only suggestion would be to upgrade to a smart TV. But I will be staying here again in the future.

Nice place to stay for a short vacation

We stayed during a recent trip to Silverton. I liked the central location and easy access to the property. Everything on the property was in good working order. Out host was very helpful and responsive. We'll stay here again.

Perfect ski in/ ski out

My friend and I stayed here in January to enjoy the skiing at Purgatory and loved the easy 5 minute walk to the ski lift, as well as all the amenities for cooking in the condo. It’s a great price for college students and for a place to stay when out and about all day.

Comfortable affordable stay

The condo was dated, as depicted in photos, however it was clean and comfortable. It was also well stocked with dinnerware as well as extras like salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee and paper towels, making it a nice affordable stay at Purgatory Resort where we were meeting up with friends.

Great spot to stay before a 7 day bike trip. It isn’t the fanciest place and it was dated, but it worked out well. Plenty of room and served it’s purpose.

Comfort with Location

Comfortable condo, suitable for a family of four. Location, location, location! Steps away from the slopes, lift and resort center. With dedicated parking, we had no problem finding a spot.

Good spot for a short ski trip

This is a great little unit for a short ski trip--super convenient to the slopes and the main ski resort buildings. The wood-burning heater was nice for the cozy warmth--though the unit is small enough that the base board heaters alone work just fine. The unit also provided access to a ski locker at the end of the building, so that was really nice as well. The kitchen is pretty tight so planning to prepare too many meals for a longer trip might be tough.

Great value for ski-in!

This condo was perfect for us. It was exactly as advertised and pictured. We were on the slopes within minutes each morning. Unlike prior reviews stated, there was plenty of toilet paper for a family of four for a week. The ski locker was a bit tricky to find- actually closer to the main entrance than the wood locker on the other side. Thanks for a fantastic family ski vacation!

Affordable Resort Condo

I liked that this condo was affordable and a 5-minute walk to the slopes. The owners were very responsive when a maintenance issue occurred and were quick to provide a night’s refund due to checking out early because of that issue. The parking was limited due to the snow banks taking up space between cars, but I was able to find a spot each time I came back. The upstairs neighbors wore their ski boots and stomped at all times, but if it hadn’t been for them, I think the noise level wouldn’t have been issue.

Needs a good cleaning

This property was much more run down than I was expecting. Just a few changes and very little money to fix the faucets (which have extreme lime scale), paint the bathroom (which is molding and multiple colors), and fix the hole in the bathroom sink would go a long way.

Quick Bday getaway!

Definitely an outdated place. Outlets and Wi-Fi are an issue. Some outlets are burnt out or not able to keep plugs in the wall. I thought we had a view but was blocked by wall because of the angle of building. The view description should be part of renting description. It was in a great location as for being near the lifts. Nice to walk to when we were ready to rest. We had a wonderful fire to warm up too.

Old house odor but close proximity

This property was definitely dated and needed renovation 20 years ago. The unit had an old house odor that took getting used to. However, the unit was close proximity to the chair lifts making the room almost worth renting. I was disappointed that the Vrbo had no affiliation or guest access to the main lodge swimming pool or jacuzzi. Because Angelhause had no amenities whatsoever. It is 50/50 on whether we would return to this location again.

The property was as we expected looking through other reviews. The facility was clean and conveniently located right where we wanted to be. All appliances worked as they should and the affordable rate allowed us to explore more of the area!

Clean, comfortable unit in Purgatory

1-bdrm condo up on Purgatory mtn. I used it as a base for summer cycling and hiking in the Durango/Silverton area. No views from the condo, but step outside for convenient access to Colorado Trail, mountain passes, etc. Clean place, good value at the Purgatory resort.

Great Value/Comfortable Stay

We stayed at the condo to attend a wedding. The price could not be beat and the condo was comfortable. It's an easy walk to Purgatory Resort. The owners were quick to respond and they were very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

Clean and convenient

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and 13 year old daughter. This property is conveniently located right across the street from the Purgatory Creek Trailhead which leads into the Chicago basin for us backpacking enthusiasts. It was super easy to access the property and once we entered the room, everything was clean and well-stocked with kitchen utensils and cookware. Towels, blankets and pillows were clean and comfortable. Laundry is located in the basement, for a small fee, so bring change if you need to do a load. 5 stars from me, I would highly recommend.

Adequate, great location

This property was in line with our expectations based on the description and previous reviews. The price is low for a reason; it is small and dated but comfortable enough. The proximity to the Express lift (Lift 1) was walkable for adults and kids ages 7-12 who can carry their own skis. Here are a few notes for future residents: Bedroom: The bed was comfortable as-is. We brought a memory foam topper from home, but did not need to use it. Bathroom: Water pressure is weak, but we had enough hot water for five consecutive showers each day. Internet: The Wifi is spotty/weak, so just be aware. We were able to stream a basketball game without trouble, though. Heaters: I don't know what they are called, but they are along the bottom of the walls and worked well. Running the bathroom heater with towels or wet gloves hanging above dried things out quickly. Washer/dryer: There is a coin/app operated laundry room for $2.25/load. I tried the app since I didn't have enough quarters, but became impatient due to wifi issues and gave up. Locker: The locker is outside on the opposite end of the condo building, which was actually very convenient if walking to the lift. Proximity: From the locker, you walk across the street and through another condo parking lot and right up to the top of where the graduate lift unloads.
