Lovely condo in Avila Beach

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely condo in Avila Beach. It's a great location, right in town, near shops and restaurants, and next to the beach. It's clean, well stocked with everything we needed (including a full kitchen, and washer and dryer), and well maintained.

My husband, 4 year old and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was beautiful - the space has a full kitchen and is so close to the beach. We really appreciated the garage for parking and plan to come back before the end of the year.

Beautiful Spot

We love the Landing Passage due to its location near the boardwalk, restaurants, bars, and tasting rooms. This condo was everything we expected, and our friend who was with us for the first time loved it as well. We will be back.

This was perfect for our girls weekend. Walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants in Avila. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would recommend is another mirror outside of the bathroom... 3 girls getting ready and 1 mirror. I know, I know... high maintenance :-) Loved our weekend away!!!!

The condo was good. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen in all of our VRBO rentals. Much appreciated that. Would have liked to have seen black out blinds on the bedroom window as the outside lights from the business across the walkway was very bright and the blinds were very thin making the bedroom bright. Kind of hard to sleep. Great location for walking to the restaurants and shopping.

Beach Villa Central to Everything

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at this property in mid-July. We were visiting from WA state to attend an outdoor concert at the local Golf Resort. We loved the proximity to the beach and restaurants (and the concert venue). Along with getting beach time in, we spent time sitting on the deck. The apartment is cozy and comfortable. Having no AC was never an issue for us, as the space kept cool. We enjoyed breakfast/lunch at Avila Market (enough to have twice) and bought fresh ground coffee from Krakin to use during our stay. You can’t go wrong with the location and felt like we got a great deal compared to the comps in the area.

Worth it

Well appointed. Just don’t understand the cleaning part before departure. You tend not to use anything (coffee maker, glasses, etc) since you have to clean up. I thought I was on vacation including household chores!

Thank you and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We wouldn’t want to clean on our vacation either and don’t ask that of our guests. Our departure instructions are simple and allow our housekeepers to turn the condo over for next guest in a timely manner. Put dirty towels in the washer and start it, load and start dishwasher, take trash to the cans on your way out. These are very common departure instructions that you will find in almost all vacation rentals.

Great location!

The condo was great, and you can’t beat the location! It was nice to have the garage access as well. There were beach towels, two beach chairs, and a beach umbrella, which was a bonus but I wish I had know ahead of time so I didn’t pack mine from home. Kitchen amenities were awesome as well! I could see the stairs being problematic for certain people, but not for able bodied visitors. My two complaints…1) Trash was left in the master from previous guests. Not much, but the cleaning crew could have paid more attention to detail. 2) It was noisy when we were trying to sleep (swing set at night and trash collection and gardeners in the mornings)

Not worth the cost

The unit had no A/C, it was very hot and the only way to attempt to cool down the unit is by opening the doors and windows. There is a lot of foot traffic therefore very loud. Those walking by can see right into the unit. We also came back to find our designated parking spot occupied which was annoying. There are several items broken in the unit (kitchen faucet, towel hook in the bathroom, some of the windows don’t open). Again not worth what is being charged. The unit itself is fully equipped. The location is very central.

Thank you for staying with us. The unit was not advertised as having A/C. Many rentals in Avila do not. Our condo does have ceiling fans for those hot summer days and gets a wonderful cross breeze with a few open windows. The condo is equipped with blinds for privacy. The stairway has a very limited view into the condo if the blind is up. Thank you for pointing out the items needing maintenance attention. After a busy summer season, there are always a couple that arise and we repair them as quickly as possible. I'm sorry you felt the condo was overpriced. Our rates are comparable with every other unit in the complex. Your stay was in the peak season. Come back and see us in the off season and take advantage of the lower rates. Amazing Location

Everything was convenient, short walk to beach, good variety of shops and quality restaurants. Everything you would need in the condo. We were fine because we were careful, but it would be wise to mention the very steep, concrete, sharp edge stairs, which would not accommodate even a small woman’s foot. We would return for sure!!

Lovely Condo in Avila

Lovely condo, perfect location and well suited for 2 people. The condo was very clean and well stocked. The bed was comfortable. Everything is exactly as depicted in the pictures. It was nice that both the bathroom and kitchen had skylights; which made the rooms bright with natural light when the sun was shining. No AC but a small fan is provided, so with the windows open, the ceiling fan on and using the small fan we were quite comfortable. Having the garage and dedicated parking space was a bonus. Overall a very cute and lovely condo.
