Beautiful romantic hideaway for two or cozy cottage for four. This is our home that we rent to new friends when we are away a week or a month. Our home is furnished in keeping with the 1920 beach cottage genre. We are located in the historic village of Corona del Mar. It is one block from Newport Bay and three blocks from the Corona Del Mar beaches, plus within walking distance of children's parks and the village restaurants. Fashion Island is just a mile away.
This property is a restored 1927 'kit home' that you could order from the Sears catalog and construct in a weekend, of course it wasn't. It is lovely and private and has one thousand square feet with a living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has TWO twin beds. All linens are provided, with down comforters and pillows, as well as all your towels. The living room has a sofa bed.
I know you don't want to cook, but if you do, the kitchen is updated with all the modern conveniences to assist the gourmet cook in you and still has the vintage vibe. Several markets, including Smart and Final, Bristol Farms, Trader Joe's and Pavilions are close . We have a charcoal barbecue in the front yard for private outdoor dining. The plumbing, electricity and heating are new and updated . Because of a hotter than normal summer last year, we have added Air Conditioning in the living room! A front loading washer and dryer is in the garage for the use of our guests.
In case there is an allergy problem in your family , we do have down comforters and pillows, this may not be for you.....

Classic Beach Cottage Close to the Beach
We really enjoyed our stay on Dahlia Street! The house was just the right size for us and our two kids. We hung out on the front patio, walked to the beach, walked to Balboa Island, walked to dinner and the grocery store. We loved being within 30 minutes to Disney, Angels games, and about an hour to downtown LA.
Perfect place to hang out between Southern Cali activities!
"Charming" vintage "50's" cottage.
Early wifi problems taken care of. Enjoyed being in this area and the cottage was very convenient.

This charming cottage was in the perfect location for us. We walked to Starbucks, restaurants, the state beach, and beautiful Lookout Point. The neighborhood streets are densely populated with eclectic, charming bungalows. Our host was incredibly accommodating and an excellent communicator who didn’t miss one detail.

Hidden Gem in Corona Del Mar
Wonderful! Sherri has provided everything for my family to feel at home and to be able to organize a wonderful christmas dinner. The house is small but functional , comfortable and in the best possible location in OC. Beautifully furnished with ample supplies of pots and dishes, many towels and easy access to do your own laundry. This is a real home away from home! Location is the best: Walking distance to the beach, very close to major freeways, close to PCH that took us to Laguna Becah, San Clemente and San Diego. You can shop easily at Fashion Island, have many choices to dine and go for coffee. Thank you, Sherri, we had a great time!!!
A most lovely piece of the past.
The Artist's Beach Cottage is absolutely lovely. There are so few cottages left! I champion the owners for not selling out like almost all of Newport Beach. The cottage is nestled at the end of a cute street of manicured gardens, frontyard fountains, and quietude. It is a delightful neighborhood. The bluffs above the beach (and Gilligan's Island cave) are a few minutes by foot, a walk along tall palms and art history. Sherry knows how to make her guests comfortable - we've never slept better. One word sums up the cottage in our minds: magic!
Cute and Cozy
Superb, end-of-the-road, quiet location. The owner was easily accessible for any questions or concerns. Great outdoor space was a real bonus!

Additional information about rental rates
Summer rates are $1600.00 a week plus cleaning fee of $150.00 and security insurance of $49.00. I do need a rental application/agreement filled out and returned to me. Our winter rates are $1100.00 a week or $3400.00 a month with cleaning fee, security insurance and agreement.
