The Royal Mauian was built on a lava flow with long sandy beaches on each side. These are 2 of Maui's most beautiful beaches, Kamaole I and II. A one minute walk from our Unit to either beach or to the fresh water pool.

Furnished with upgraded amenities not usually found in a rental unit. We renovated and furnished our unit for our families enjoyment. Kitchen features maple cabinetry and granite counters, as do the bathrooms. All floor coverings were replaced in 2011 and a second 32' LCD TV was installed in the master bedroom. A third TV has been installed in the twin suite.

Tropical furnishings and art make this Unit as memorable as your Maui vacation. Children will love the large container of sand toys and beach equipment, including umbrellas, beach chairs, beach mats, ice chests and terry cloth covers for the pool lounges. . . You will also find games and a collection of our grandson's favorite videos.

You will find spices in the cupboards, Irish crystal wine glasses, Mr. Coffee, waffle iron, espresso machine, coffee grinder, toaster, mixer and blender to make your stay 'feel like home'.

Fall asleep listening to ocean sounds and watch the passing lights in the ocean view Master Suite. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets each night. The middle section location of our unit in the building allows a wide-angle view of the ocean's beauty. We want you to return again and again to enjoy 'Our Maui Paradise'.

We have "comfy" chairs on the lanai, to entice you to relax and enjoy, meals, cocktails, watching the turtles on the reef or just enjoying the ever changing scenes of the ocean in front. During whale season they will entertain you with their antics, and you might be lucky enough to experience a birthing on the reef. We have seen many through the years.

A unique feature is the Roof Garden, with 360 degree views, featuring gas BBQ, tables and a complete kitchen for evening dining. It is also available for private time during the day. A furnished picnic basket makes roof top dining easy.

We are very family friendly, and have a Pack 'N Play

for the comfort and safety of our toddler guests.

About Lucy

My husband and I grew up in North Dakota and always knew there was a warmer place to spend the winters! We discovered Hawaii and Maui 35 years ago, and have been enjoying it ever since. We purchased #316 in 2000 and have had many weeks of wonderful family time in 'Our Maui Home'. Our 2 grandsons have grown up 'going to Maui' each summer with us. We live near San Francisco and highly recommend Maui for family vacations. The Royal Mauian has just the best location and it is not necessary to rent a car.

Why Lucy chose South Maui

We went looking 'for the best' when our family made the decision to purchase a condo in Kihei. We found it, after looking at over 125 units

all over the Island of Maui. #316 at The Royal Mauian fit all our criteria, the biggest one being we had to SEE the ocean when we opened the front

door and had to HEAR the ocean sounds all night long! We spend hours on our lovely lanai, enjoying the view of 3 Islands.....and the turtles that feed on the reef entertain us during breakfast and each night at cocktail time. Our grandsons have grown up going to Maui each year, they enjoy

the independence of being able to 'walk' to the beach by themselves, or across the street for a shaved ice or ice cream. The grocery story within easy walking is also enjoyed by Grandma! Daughter enjoys the expresso/coffee kiosk across the street and

Grandpa the great 'take out' close by. ABC Market is an easy 1 block walk and many food establishments within easy walking.

What makes this condo unique

Our family loves the shopping center across the street and the ability to have both fine dining and fast food without getting in the car.

The 2 beaches on either side, with such easy access, were the final selling point. Being able to watch the famous Maui sunsets each evening

and the turtles feeding on the reef in front of the lanai each morning are extra benefits. The Airport is a 20 minute drive and wonderful golf courses are close by in Wailea. The Maui Bus stop is 1/4 block down the street. You can enjoy long walks on the beach going in either direction. Grocery shopping is easy with a natural foods store across the street and ABC and Whalers too. We supply spices for your cooking pleasure in our completely furnished kitchen, you will find everything you need. Pots and pans, blender, mixer, baking sheets, waffle iron.....plenty of dishes and flat wear.

Location Location

What a great place to stay. Right on the ocean, you can even watch turtles from the 6th floor and the Roof Garden! The kids snorkelled every morning straight below the condo while we got ready to explore Maui. I was worried about the lack of air con in Summer, but every afternoon the sea breeze sprang up and blew through the place keeping it nice and cool. Handy to a huge number of cafes, restaurants and shops (although I recommend heading up to Foodland and benefiting from their Maikai loyalty card system which seems to give 20% off your groceries). The condo was well equipped with things to help make meals at home, although we mostly ate out, or got sushi and poke from Foodland and ate watching sunset on the lanai. This was our second trip to Maui and our first time here. We thoroughly enjoyed both the island and the condo. Thanks.

Excellent Stay!

This was our 15th trip the Islands including our 5th trip to the Royal Mauian and the first time staying in this unit. Last year we stayed at another condo down the road as we decided to make a reservation too late and I knew we had to go back to the RM. There are many different units at the RM and if you have a higher unit number you will hear less of the road noise like this unit does. If you are close to the Kamaole I beach you will hear the traffic but this unit all you hear is the waves crashing each night. Not a bad problem to have! What we like about this unit is the view from the lanai looking across the pool to the water. We spent hours sitting watching the waves and the beautiful views. The pool could be a little bit noisy at times but that is ok. We would walk the beaches in the morning and then go to the pool and grass area in the afternoon for an unobstructed view of the water and sun.

The unit is neat and has everything you could possibly want to make yourself feel at home. It is very comfortable and doesn't feel like you are renting someplace to stay.

The RM is close to many businesses across the road including some grocery stores down the road. Many days we never drove the car as everything was close at hand.

I highly recommend this unit and complex if you are looking for a place to stay on Maui.

Perfect home away from home!

This wonderful unit was just as it was listed with a perfect location, views that couldn't be beat (especially from the lanai) of turtles, whales and spectacular sunsets. We had everything you could want to use at home or on the beach. The owners are wonderful host and answered all the questions we had. They sent invaluable information about the area for shopping, eating out or just relaxing. We enjoyed the 5 Palms for a special dinner and Maui tacos for lunches. It truly is a peace of heaven and we can't wait to go back to our favorite place on earth. Thank you for the memories!!

A Slice of Paradise

When renting this property you will find not only a fantastic accommodation but a great location as well! The unit is beautifully maintained and has an amazing view of the ocean. The lanai is the perfect way to start the morning with a relaxing breakfast outside watching the surf. We loved seeing the turtles swimming just off the shore right in front of us around in the reef!!! Which by the way this reef has wonderful snorkeling too! There is easy access to the beach which has just the right amount of surf to play in during the afternoon hours or is nice and calm in the morning to try your balance at paddle boarding.

The property is quiet, nicely maintained with a relaxing pool, and a spectacular rooftop for BBQing. Across the street you will find some of the best shaved ice on the island! There are also some fun shops to wander through as well as some local eating establishments. Some of our favorite restaurants are located on this side of the island just a few minutes drive from the condo. The harbor is close by if you are interested in a morning snorkeling tour to Molokini or Lanai. Surf lessons are also offered close by. We have stayed up in Ka'anapali several times but love this location far better.

The owners couldn't be nicer and are very helpful. This has been our second stay here and we can't wait to return again, hopefully in the very near future.

The Hawaiians have a saying "E Mau N? Hali’a Aloha" which means to make lasting fond memories…this is just the place where one can do that!

ZIP LINES are nearby... great snorkeling on the reef immediately in front of the complex.

Public tennis courts are only a few blocks away. The Kihei Boat Harbour is 1/3 mile away, and

provides water/boat adventures without driving all the way to Lahaina. World class golf courses are within 15 minute drive. Rental of paddle boards, surf boards and diving/snorkeling equipment across the street. Also activities kiosk.

Good surfing beach is only a short distance up Kihei Road, with rental equipment and instruction available. Golfing is available as close as 2 miles, the Green, Gold and Blue courses in Wailea are only a few minutes drive. Located across the street from Kamaole Center, where there are fast food locations and fine dining, all an easy walk. Boutiques, grocery store and ABC store too. The Natural Moons Grocery Market has everything needed for family meals, besides a wonderful salad bar and hot food bar.
