We had a great time. The place is beautiful and very well kept. The location is great with easy access to the beach and a short walk to shops and restaurants.
We really enjoyed the property. The location was perfect, just a few minute walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were great. The only suggestion would be room darkening curtains in the bedrooms with a slider. There are sheer curtains on them! You are awake for sunrise, whether you want to or not!
We enjoyed the property, the ease of access to the beach ❤️
My step son arrived early and the lady who was there was less than kind- but after that short interaction, everything was great.
We’ve been going to OBX for 25 years. Our family has grown such that we now need 2 houses. This was the “overflow” house, and it was perfect for us. House was as described, and was convenient for us to get to/from other house/beach/etc…there were 10 of us in the house, all adults, so we did not even use bunk room in basement. Rental equipment that came with the house Came is super handy - we rented bicycles and a cart to transport items between houses. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great vacation at this property. The short walk to the beach could be easily done by everyone in our group from the little kids to Grandma. The pool was a big hit. The house was clean and the porches were great. A short walk or bike ride would get you to a few local watering holes for the adults and mini golf for the kids. Don't forget to rent a jeep and reserve your beach driving permit ahead of time.A note on management policies, the house is essentially sterilized. Do not expect to find ANY consumables. This includes tin foil, plastic wrap, Ziploc bags, garbage bags, hand soaps, partial toilet paper rolls (yes even these are removed). There will be no coffee filters or reusable filters. Certainly there will not be any salt etc. Unopened items are donated but I'm not sure where everything else goes because if it is consumable or edible, it will not be there. The rental company also rents chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas etc. so it is reasonable to assume that you will not find any of these at the property. Unfortunately there will also not be any kids sand toys or pool toys which are not rentable. I assume these are disposed of after each renter and you will need to buy more. The linen package is very minimal. If you can bring linens I would recommend it. The sheets are 100 thread count, and there are no bath mats for getting out of the shower. We really had an excellent stay, the house was great and the area even better. We would stay again
Came to area a few days ahead of our Saturday- Saturday rental nearby. Nice place, as advertised. Bit of a walk to the beach, but not really an issue. Pool is very nice. Was a bit out off coming into house with 5 bathrooms and finding 2 rolls of toilet paper on the kitchen counter- and all the holders empty. Given the fees (including cleaning) I think you could at least have a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. Again, not a deal breaker, but kinda grinds your gears when you see a 15 step check out list which essentially includes cleaning the entire place, and then the clean fee is hundreds of dollars.
