Book directly with the owner and reduce your fees! Evergreen Camp, set on a calm, private lake, has two cabins: Pine Bank, a family-oriented, historic hunting lodge with 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms & Little Ben, a rustic ADK cabin with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Pine Bank has its own small beach and a grassy shoreline with sandy lake bottom - small children easily wade into the lake. The large, well-equipped kitchen and ample seating make it easy to cook for and serve the whole, big family in style. Both cabins are right on the water and offer panoramic views. Family groups often enjoy renting both cabins, so that those who require or enjoy more privacy have a 'getaway camp'. There are plenty of boats: 2 canoes, large rowboat, kayak, and stand-up board; 2 boat docks and a floating dock (for diving). PB's main room is large enough to handle the 'whole crowd' for meals. 2 refrigerators, 2 stoves, two gas-grills, and a barbeque pit make cooking for a crowd easy. The beds are all real beds (many with very comfortable mattresses) in actual bedrooms, for your 'good night's sleep' and privacy. The private Silver Lake Shoreowners' nature trails include sections that can be walked by everyone from the very young to the very old. Enjoy a peaceful, family spot in Northwoods paradise. Pets considered. Contact me to get the link to our website with video walk-throughs of both cabins! Both can also be rented separately, depending on the size of your group.

- Waterfront property. Private lake. Private dock and nature trails. Ideal for large family gatherings. Enjoy the big picture window on the lake, eat on the breezy screened in porch. Gaze at endless miles of wilderness surrounding a small, pristine lake. Take a moonlight canoe trip. Make s'mores at the lakeside fire pit. Everyone can catch a (small) fish. Pine Bank is a comfortable, wood paneled older Adk. house. Guests bring their own bedding and towels. Not fancy, but comfortable and has enough room for large family gatherings. Older guests can sleep on the first floor and not use the stairs. Kids will love the pool table in a glassed-in porch off of the living room/dining room. New outside grill in 2010. Fireplace inside and fire pits outside, as well. Property, other than the shoreline, is fenced....moreless

A great place for a family reunion with people of all ages! There are 2 cabins with 8 real bedrooms (2 people to a room). There are 2 kitchens. All of this works very well for a crowd! There is enough space at Pine Bank for the whole crew to have dinner together. With 4 boats, a floating dock, and a sandy shoreline that is easy for waders, there are plenty of water activities

One of the last non-touristy, uncrowded, undiscovered corners of the Adriondack Park, The Cranberry Lake area is renowned for great boating, fishing, and hiking. Silver Lake, a small, privately-owned lake across the street from Cranberry Lake - offers all the pleasures of the authentic, old-time Adirondack experience (catch fish easily; enjoy secluded walks in the woods with no, or few, other hikers,; take a sunrise or midnight canoe ride in tranquil, deserted waters,; listen to loons; tell stories around the campfire by the lake in civilized comfort.. No motor boats are allowed. The shores are home to loons, otters, ducks, beavers, and other wildlife. With only 12 cabins on the lake and much of the shoreline bordering state land, Siver Lake is a great escape, yet it is handy to a small village. Miles and miles of hiking trails encircle the area. Tupper Lake and the Wild Museum are about 1/2 hour to the east. Enjoy the 'back to nature feel' of camping with all the creature comforts. Pets considered. Inquire about our pet policy and pet fee.

About: We (Bill & Wendy) began renting a camp on Silver Lake in summer of 1993. It was love at first sight for our whole family. We were thrilled by the 'Forever Wild' northwoods feeling of the place, yet felt very comfortable with our young children hiking the well-groomed trails and learning to swim and boat in the quiet waters of Silver Lake. We loved adventuring into the surrounding wild forests, paddling the tranquil waters, swimming at all hours, and feeling very free, yet very cozy, at the same time. Eventually, we were fortunate to be able to buy our historic camp from the Dreby Family, a family whose on-going stewardship of the environment has preserved the natural beauty, the environmental integrity, and the peaceful ambiance of Silver Lake.
Why Cranberry Lake, NY, USA:
Wendy grew up summering on Conneaut Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Pennsylvania. She and the other members of her clan claim that they have lakewater running through their veins. She was spellbound by the spiritual aspects of the lake, its spring-fed freshness, and abundant wildlife. Bill is not a lake person, but felt comfortable canoeing on its inviting, deserted waters. It also matched his New York City Boy's image of what an Adirondack Lake should be like - visions of Indian Princesses canoeing around from the other side of a pine-crested island come to mind. Both were thrilled to be able to teach their children, now adults, how to swim, boat, and appreciate nature in an environ that was wild and, yet, somewhat protected. The tradition continues each summer, as extended family, from great-grandmother (Bill's mom) to great grandchildren, gather to savor the joys of outdoor life and family fun.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Great for large family groups. Big fire pit by the lake, for cooking or just plain campfires. Gas grills make outdoor cooking easy, as well. Easy ingress (only 2 steps) into the cabin and ground floor bedrooms ideal for infirm/elderly people. Ramp style steps with railing lead down to lake. Very accessible shoreline and trails. Many close, easy, short (one mile) hikes with great destinations that hikers of all abilities can enjoy. Many Intermediate mountain hikes (Bear Mt., Mt. Arab, Tooley Pond Mt.) and Challenging hikes (The Cranberry Lake 50), for the more outdoorsy members of your party. Wonderful screened porch for reading, sitting, eating, and watching the lake. Wade into lake - shallow and sandy near shore. Separate, small cabin for those who appreciate privacy. 4 bathrooms (one in basement). Fenced yard for pets and small children. Floating dock, plus two stationary docks, lots of different outdoor places for people to hang out. Sit-down meal seating available for 16 people. 2 fridges and 2 stoves. 3rd ('beer fridge', aka, '# fridge') in basement.
