Thank you for your review. We always appreciate guest feedback, even when it reads more like a mystery novel than a vacation recap. First, regarding the pool: a storm had passed through the week before your arrival and deposited pollen into the water. Pollen can make water appear green despite the pool chemistry being perfectly balanced. Comparing two neighboring pools is a bit like comparing two parked cars and assuming they both drove through the same mud puddle. As for “no effort being made” to clean the pool, we wish we possessed the magical ability to snap our fingers and instantly transform pollen-filled water into a crystal-blue resort pool. Unfortunately, pool maintenance still follows the laws of nature, chemistry, and Florida weather. The listing clearly states that the accommodation is a private guest suite attached to the home. This is not hidden information, nor is it a surprise reveal at check-in. The locked door mentioned is there for privacy and security, which most guests tend to appreciate. As for hearing a television or neighboring guests, that can occasionally happen in virtually any shared-wall accommodation, hotel, apartment, condo, cruise ship, or earthly dwelling occupied by more than one human being. Regarding your early departure, we’re sorry the property didn’t meet your expectations. While we can’t speak to your reasons for leaving early, we respect every guest’s decision to adjust their travel plans as they see fit and wish you safe travels wherever your adventures take you. Finally, the “large boulder” and concrete edging have remained exactly where they have always been, successfully coexisting with hundreds of vehicles that have somehow managed to navigate the driveway without incident. We are proud to report that neither has developed a taste for tires. We wish you the best in your future travels and hope your next destination offers a pool that can defeat pollen, walls that defy physics, and landscaping that is less threatening.
