Ocean view condo, on the beach. Good size/ Multiple showers. Master bed needs a new mattress. Your bum sinks to the floor on this one. Made for very uncomfortable sleeping. Great location, just needs a very good deep clean. the washing machine is new and great. Maintenance was very responsive and helpful.

Great condo and location!

We loved the condo and the location! Condo had everything we needed! The location was fantastic, we loved having Camille’s across the street and other great Destin restaurants and fun things to do so close! The condo could use a good cleaning and some updates, but we were overall satisfied!

Beautiful condo

The check in and out process was great. The condo was nice but is need of a really good deep cleaning, new mattresses and bed covering in each room. The location was great and great views. Would stay again though.

Condo was clean, lots of noise above us, private beach is small and seemed crowded - there is public beach access on both sides of this condo.. which is something I would want to know. Had somewhat difficult time getting early check in but eventually did, check out was very easy

Some things that we noted during our stay:1) building is next to public beach access (not noted on the listing) so it got quite crowded at times on the beach2) floors felt very sticky, like they had been swept but not mopped, in a long time. 3) upstairs room with the bunk bed stayed pretty warm, was difficult to cool during our week-long stay4) smoke alarm went off twice when we opened the oven while cooking (no smoke was present)5) balcony door is truly impossible to open from the outside. We had to leave it cracked in order to get back in every time. Got stuck out there on our first day and our 7 year old had to let us back in the unit6) rugs are dated and couch pillows were dirty7) laundry room light would only turn on if the switch was left on for a long period of time8) cooking utensil selection wasn’t the greatest compared to other units we’ve stayed in9) property was “non smoking” but we saw multiple individuals smoking on the property and beach. I know this is hard to control, so I don’t blame the property for thisThings we enjoyed:1) grounds were clean! Pool area was clean. 2) proximity to Camille’s is always a plus 3) the size and layout of the unit was comfortable 4) the games in the unit were enjoyed by our family 5) communication from management was top notch during check in and our stay

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We truly appreciate you highlighting both the things you enjoyed and the areas where we can improve. We’re glad you enjoyed the clean grounds and pool area, convenient location near Camille’s, comfortable layout, family games, and especially our communication throughout your stay. We’re always happy to hear that our management team was responsive and helpful. We’re sorry for the inconveniences you experienced. We’ll be sharing your feedback with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to address the flooring, rugs, pillows, upstairs temperature, balcony door, laundry room light, smoke alarm, and kitchen supplies. The balcony door and smoke alarm concerns in particular are important to us, and we’ll make sure they are inspected. We also appreciate your comments regarding the public beach access and smoking. While some aspects are outside of our direct control, your feedback is helpful as we consider how we can better set expectations in the listing and continue working to provide the best possible experience. Thank you again for staying with us and for helping us identify opportunities to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome your family back and provide an even better experience next time.

May trip

Over all very nice. A warning that the slider to the balcony can slip and lock on its own would have been helpful. No potholders and there wasn’t a blanket for the trundle bed upstairs. Otherwise well equipped.

Perfect unit and great client experience

Everything was great. One of the guest accidentally broke a light fixture. We reported the incident and it was fixed immediately. The unit was very nice and location was perfect. If only the building itself was made to look better on the outside. The external appearance is not appealing and the elevator is slow.

Great location! Needs updating

Be advised, this property is run by Ocean Reef Realty. You only get one roll of paper towel and 1 roll per bathroom of Toilet paper. No kitchen trash bags. No pantry extras like salt and pepper. (we left some) the downstairs bathroom sinks drain guards don’t work and had to remove to allow drainage. The 2 king beds need better mattresses and all the pillows are lumpy and old. Toaster is not working properly. There is a new Keurig-the old coffee device needs to be thrown away-does not work. New fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher work great! Very CLEAN on arrival!

Little short on accuracy description

This property is fantastic as size goes…but they forgot to mention that the “bunk room” (where kids would more likely would sleep) is actually on the second floor…there’s (3) full bathrooms but we had to call in cleaning for the master…they came right away but “only” cleaned the “portion” of the shower tile that was “black” not even the bottom… One crucial point: SWIMMING POOL is ACTUALLY located in the parking lot of the building…not very safe if you ask me! Photos were taken very carefully…deceiving The whole unit is very spacious and decorated nicely (although the balcony is very small) but (again) would benefit from a “deep” cleaning! The super large coffee maker was not our thing and the “pod” coffee maker was not working…we bought one! Overall: if they had listed “pool” located in the back of building (parking area) and bunk room is on the second floor we would not have rented! We had to kind of “block” the staircase just in case our not quite 2 year old granddaughter wouldn’t ventured out there…by the way: there’s no railing on the second (top) part of stairs… We have rented with VRBO before and this is the first time we felt we paid way too much (spring break) for a unit that has quite a few “deceiving” disclosures!

Thank you for providing your feedback. On our site we accurately lay out the floor by floor for the unit. "Second Level: Bunk Room with King/Twin Bunk and Twin Trundle + Tub/Shower Combo." The photos are not taken to deceive you as you can see buildings and vehicles in the picture behind the pool which would tell you that the pool is not on the gulf side of the building. The photos are accompanied by 2 aerial drone photos as well. We will be sure to have the property deep cleaned so that another guest does not run into the problem you did. We hope that you are able to make your way back to the beach very soon. Thank you for choosing Ocean Reef Resorts.
