Great alternative to ocean front

We have stayed in Gold Beach over a dozen times and previously always stayed on the ocean. This visit we would explore one or two different beaches each day and then come back to the River House and enjoy the deck and river views. The time spent on the deck enjoying the wildlife on the Rogue River was excellent. Seals, otters, ducks, cranes, ospreys, eagles, and geese all made daily visits. The house is excellent quality, very private and furnished well. We will look forward to staying again.

Really great place!

We stayed at this property for a month. The view is phenomenal! The property owner was very responsive to any questions we had. There a number of TVs in the unit which is great when you don't all want to watch the same thing or if you just want to go downstairs for some peace and quiet. Would we stay there again? In a heartbeat, just not during football season! The one thing I think should be made known is that there is no standard network (like Direct TV or Dish). You do have access to You Tube, Prime Video, Sirius XM, and others. We had difficulty accessing the 3 major networks and most sport channels.

best customer service EVER

There were multiple fires in the area during our 2 month stay so the traffic was quite heavy right in front of the home (the base camp for firefighters was on the same road). There's not a lot of room from the front of the home to the street. the view is marvelous and we enjoyed watching the seals catch fish and play and the otters and all kinds of birds. the beds were very comfortable. I loved that the housekeep came every week to take the garbage out, clean the hot tub, and every other week she cleaned bathrooms and the kitchen. Celeste (listed as Eric on the VRBO site) is wonderful to work with and so friendly and accommodating. Any little thing we asked, she took care of. She was eager to get feedback on anything that she could do to improve the property. That was much appreciated as many other property managers only want to hear just good things - not about things that could stand some improvement. We had family coming and going throughout the rental period and all loved it as much as we did. Most of all however, I loved that Celeste is wonderfully pleasant and easy to work with!!!!

Views, Comfort and Hospitality

We have been traveling for 13 months. This is our favorite place! The host is top notch. Always available and helpful. We stayed for a month. The view is spectacular. Bird watching at its best. The bridge! Very clean. Comfortable beds and sofas. Lots of hot water. Good kitchen. Location is close to town. Can walk to the levee. Nice outdoor space. Plenty of parking. Big closets. Hope to visit again!
