The house was located in a nice area but many things need attention. Living room sofa is so soiled and dirty we didn’t sit on it. Patio furniture was all dirty and we had to clean them to even use them. Upstairs patio furniture was all rearranged and we had to arrange back to use. Property listed bikes for use but Only two of the five bikes worked - one was completely apart. House came with beach towels but had to reach out to host to get beach towels brought to the house. TV remotes didn’t work. Ice maker in freezer was broken. Linens on beds had a lot of stains on them.

Such a beautiful home, in the perfect location. The owner was extremely responsive and communicative when we had any questions!! I agree with a past review .. a touch more wear than I expected ie: keureg broken, the golf cart non reliable , but the owner compensated for a cart rental! Overal, great house!!!! Great owner.

Wonderful stay at Writer's Way. Despite the cold winter weather, the house was fantastic for a long weekend. Everything was clean and comfortable and the included golf cart was a nice added benefit.We would definitely stay at this home again!

Great house, great location, comfortable furniture and beds. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If there was one note to future guests, it might be too confirm how many beach chairs are available as there were only four beach chairs while we were there which was not enough for our group. Not a big deal as many of us were fishing, but if we were there in the summer and wanting to relax on the beach, we would’ve had to figure something out. Overall, wonderful spot and excellent stay and would absolutely stay at this place again!

Great house and location

Our family of had a great week at BHI. The house was perfectly situated for our many trips to the Shoals Club. We had plenty of room to cook and relax in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we were able to stream Wimbledon as we ate our breakfast! We took full advantage of the island biking, swimming, sun bathing, golfing, and playing croquet. Perfect week!
