Our family loved this cabin! It was tucked away, and very neat to stay in an historical cabin. The cabin was very clean full of charm. We will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful log home! It was a very narrow, rough drive to get to it so I would recommend a four wheel drive vehicle. The upstairs bedroom was wonderful! The major negative is the only bathroom is downstairs and it is very small. The shower is super tiny but overall it was delightful!
Absolutely excellent stay. If you’re looking for something that is exactly as presented, here it is. All to often a VRBO stay is billed as one thing, and you show up to something completely different - this, is not that. If you’re looking for a idilic, quiet cabin, with period features that transport you back 100 years, but still keep you comfortable, book it. You won’t regret it!
Fabulous location to enjoy nature and relax. Had there not been clouds star watching would have been marvelous. Plenty to do for the nature enthusiast in this pristine corner of the state. If you want to get away from it all Long Branch is perfect!
We loved this little cabin, it was super clean, cosy and well stocked. Perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days. Loved seeing the many deer every morning and evening eating apples from the trees on the property. My corgi loved exploring the property and playing with Lance the cat. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had.
It was seriously one of the most beautiful cabins I’ve ever been in. My partner, dog and I loved the property and ran about. It was my 30th birthday when we stayed at the cabin and Shelby gave me a $10 giftcard to her coffee shop downtown, so sweet!!
Beautiful historic cabin with so much character. We loved watching the deer around the cabin, and Lance, the cat, was a sweet addition to sitting on the porch.
This place is a gem! It is nicely furnished and appointed. The place is very secluded and quite. There is a lot of wildlife in the area. We say numerous birds and deer. The road up to the cabin can be a bit of a challenge after a heavy rain or several days of rain. It dries pretty fast and is fine when dry. I would recommend this place for a quite vacation! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area.
Conveniently located to Lansing, the cabin is well thought out and quite nice in its location. It was very quiet and clearly the owners take good care of it.
What a neat place to stay in these mountains. The authentic, historical nature of the cabin in this beautiful, pastoral setting made for a rich experience. The juxtaposition of the modern features we seem to require and the pure simplicity of the cabin was enough to make us all happy. The cabin was well stocked and supported our family perfectly. The proximity of the cabin to so many NC, VA, and TN outdoor opportunities was a huge plus for our active family. We will be back, and don’t be surprised to see some other family and friends take advantage of this mountain experience.

Thank you so much, Nathan! Really appreciate your kind and thoughtful review. Hope to have y’all back!
Everything was just wonderful! It's hard to know where to start. The host was so accommodating and quick to respond. The home was just precious and cozy. We were fortunate to have a beautiful snow and just enjoyed the home. We had several deer join us each morning during breakfast. The drive in was easy, the town of Lansing is just precious with a great general store. We can't wait until our next visit. We WILL be back!
I'm Shelby, a lover of the outdoors and, especially, the Appalachian mountains. We bought this property as a place to visit often and to share with others.
Why they chose this property
This property is stunning, secluded, and a place to reconnect. We're lucky to own this special place and love to share its beauty with others. It sits far enough back to feel totally removed and secluded, but only a few minute drive to the best spots in Lansing.
