About Nancy or George Roberts
We raised our two boys on Whidbey Island for 18 years, while George taught school and Nancy ran a cafe. When we decided to expand our horizons, we realized we could not part with our cottage at Greenbank. It is such a special place. We added a larger bedroom, decks and hot tub, and visit as often as we can. It is a great pleasure reading the guest book, and sharing a favorite place on the planet with others.
Nancy or George Roberts purchased this House in 1991
Why Nancy or George Roberts chose Greenbank
We have owned this 1930's cottage for many years before we decided to turn it into a vacation rental. It is rare to have such privacy and 13 acres of woodlands, trees, wetlands, and meadows, all to oneself, with of course, the deer, rabbits, ducks, and birds that we share it with.
What makes this House unique
It is a fantasy come true... Private lush life surrounding a darling cottage, decorated with art from the Pacific Northwest simply nourishes the spirit! And a live animal planet channel right out the window!

Thanks for the great communication and beautiful little spot and thank you for allowing our dogs to come!
Thank you Jae for staying at The Artist's Cottage. It was our pleasure to host you and your pups. Thanks for your communication and respect and enjoyment of our home!
Relaxing escape good for couples or families and perfect for dogs
Overall we had a lovely stay. The grounds were beautiful and the house offers a lot of privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was so nice to stay in such a dog friendly rental. The patio was also nice and the hot tub was a great bonus. The kitchen, while well equipped, was not as clean as we would have liked, likely due to the fact that there was close to no hot water. The bathroom also had water issues like the toilet not flushing and the shower running out of water every time time we showered. It’s an old house with lots of charm on a peaceful island. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you!
Sylvia! We are glad you enjoyed your relaxing honeymoon stay at our cottage. We are requesting a plumber go ASAP to the home to check out the points you mention on the kitchen and the bathroom and get those repaired right away, thank you for letting us know! Sorry for any inconvenience and we are glad you enjoyed the home and your stay overall. Warm Regards, Nancy and George
We enjoyed our stay at the Artists Cottage. A romantic hideaway on beautiful Whidbey Island. Good location and cozy stay.

Beautiful home for relaxing
My husband and I came to the Artist’s Cottage for our honeymoon and it wasn’t a perfect experience but overall we really enjoyed our stay. We had some issues with the appliances and the deck being in need of some repair but the owners were very responsive. The bed is quite possibly the most comfortable I’ve been in! The scenery is beautiful and it really is a wonderful space to get away and unwind.
We are glad you enjoyed your honeymoon at our cottage! Sorry again about the toaster oven and the deck. We are glad that it all worked out still, and as we mentioned, we are replacing and repairing now. You are welcome back if-when you wish. Warmest Regards, Nancy and George
