About Justin Robinson

Jean & Justin welcome you to our newest addition - The Tiny Texas House.

Justin Robinson purchased this cottage in 2009

Why Justin Robinson chose Canyon Lake

We added the Tiny Texas House to the 12 acres to compliment the cabin and cottage we already rent on the property. This new unit is so unique. Everything from the doors, floors, windows, lumber, porch posts, glass, door hardware, and even the siding has been saved and re-used to create houses that we hope will last for a century or more.

What makes this cottage unique

Come and relax in this architectural beauty. A miniature Victorian nestled on a quiet piece of the hill country. Just minutes from Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River. Tiny yet so spacious. The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of immense space. This unit is perfect for a romantic getaway for two!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We celebrated our 19th anniversary at the Tiny House. We had celebrated our 16th anniversary here a few years ago and we were excited to get back. We were pleasantly surprised by the changes...a privacy fence was built and a hammock was in the yard. The owners have a guest book available for comments and it was neat to see our comments from August 2011. After reading through the comments of other guests, it was clear to see that the owners really take the suggestions to heart and implement as many as possible. We could definitely tell that our bodies didn't move up and down the ladder as easily as a few years ago, but it was fun. It is a romantic getaway and a must for a couple with kids who need to get away to make sure "You still like each other."

Great little place

  • 5 of 5

Little TX House presents just like it shows in the pictures...with a tad bit more.

The landscaping and placement make this a secluded place for sure.

I enjoyed the Tiny TX House. But my female half “Looooved” the place.

Only draw back was finding it in the dark. Only set us back about 2 minutes though.

I would recommend it highly for couples.

Cozy, clean, comfortable and unique.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I chose this home for my husbands birthday weekend. We wanted something uniquely different. We enjoyed the hammock, the hot tub, and the beautiful wood work on the tiny house. We brought our jet skies and played on the lake all day. We made a reservation at our favorite restaurant Gennaros and everything was perfect! What a nice getaway it turned out to be.

Truly unique experience in the Texas Tiny House!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful wedding anniversary weekend of being close to each other in the Tiny House. The house is hand-crafted with many touches that please the eye. It includes a ship ladder leading up to a cozy loft! We soaked in the hot tub, watched football and just plain relaxed. We also love the Canyon Lake area and ate some great meals in Gruene. Highly recommended place to stay.

So bueatiful and peaceful !

  • 5 of 5

The Tiny House was amazing ! The Bueatiful landscaping made it feel so secluded and private all while being very convenient to everything we wanted to do. We loved it so much we weren't ready to leave and seriously considered trying to stay at least one more day. Unfortunately we had to return to the real world. We will definitely keep this property on the short list of places to run away to!

Super cute and quaint!!

  • 4 of 5

Loved the atmosphere of this place. It's a great place for a romantic get away. There were a couple of things that could be fixed... the shower drain didn't drain well so you ended up standing in quite a bit of water and the makeup towel was sour smelling. Other than those two easily fixable things it was wonderful!! Would go back a second and third and fourth time!

Owner's Response: Hi Joy, Thanks for the review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay over the Labor Day weekend. We diagnosed the slow draining shower and found the culprit to be a small shampoo bottle cap that had found its way into the drain. Thankfully that was an easy fix. Housekeeping was notified of the off smelling makeup cloth and will be more diligent in getting the loads of laundry dried faster so as to prevent that issue from reoccurring. Thanks again for taking the time to review our Tiny House . Take care and see you next time. Justin
