I have worked as a consultant contractor for gold and nickel mines, oil refineries, water & waste water treatment plants, etc. I work-traveled nationally and internationally and hated sleeping at hotels, because Hotels are very noisy and typically don't have darkening and noise reducing window coverings.

When I was traveling and working long hours and long days, my first and highest priority was a quiet and restful night sleep, and waking up refreshed, fully rested, and ready for the new work day; therefore, a very comfortable, clean, and quiet bed and a comfortable, quiet, and dark bedroom was very important to me, a light sleeper sensitive to noise and light. All of my rental home bedrooms have high quality, sturdy, non-squeaking, quiet metal bed frames, high quality memory foam mattresses, with heating pads, and darkening and noise reducing venetian blinds and drapes window coverings for a quiet a restful night sleep.
