Quiet Getaway

Beautiful and so close to Yosemite.

What an amazing place!!!! Loved the waterfall, river in the back yard. We had so much fun, and laughed a lot while playing in it. The house was so roomy and comfortable!!

Beautiful location for a family get together

We had a family reunion where we were going to spend a lot of time in Yosemite. This property fit our group very well. The location is stunning. The house has lots of amenities. The hostess is very great to work with.

We got together 7 adults 50+ to visit Yosemite. We loved the river out back and the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and worked well for our purposes. Lovely back porch. Yelena was very helpful and responsive. Would stay again.

Waterfall river house

This is a fabulous house to rent. The location and the view. The river and falls were breathtaking. The house was so big and beautiful very clean. Has everything thing you need. Will be definitely will be staying aging. Thank you Yelena

Very nice property for family vacation

Fantastic property. We enjoyed having the backyard waterfall all to ourselves. The hot tub and swimming hot tub, and game room were a big hit with the kids. The location was easy to get to and convenient for access to Yosemite park as well as the local stores and shops. House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great selection of books to read. The only downside was that the kitchen appliances could use some updating.

Amazing experience!

The house was immaculate and well provided. Communication with owner was great. Waterfall, ponds and outdoor seating and experience is fantastic. Everything was top notch. It was hot but air worked great. The arrangement of bedrooms is odd but works for older children. Definitely recommend.

The grounds are just amazing! We couldn’t get over the beautiful view and cute little town. Kids had so much fun exploring and playing outside. The house is located close to town and Yosemite. The house itself was wonderful. The beds were comfy and lots of space for two families. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes. The oven was new and worked great for making dinner. We had zero issues and Yelena checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.

A true gem in Oakhurst.

We wanted a open place to spend time as a family away from the busy fast pace city. When we found Yelena’s home we agreed that it was what we were looking for. The home was nestled up and away from the small town of Oakhurst alongside a mountain with a waterfall and river in between. With the windows open you could hear the white noise of the water cascading down the rocks. Grab one of the many books off the bookshelf and have a seat on the balcony and escape. The home itself was clean and well equipped with everything you’ll need. The towels and blankets were fresh and soft. There were too many amenities to enjoy from hot tubs, swim spas, to billiards and other fun games. We truly made some great memories while staying at her home.

Incredible so Magical!!!!!

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! This property was INCREDIBLE!!!!! I have hiked to so many beautiful waterfalls around the world but to have one this incredibly beautiful in your backyard is beyond magical! I will definitely be coming back to this property! This was an incredible vacation my kids had so much fun at the waterfall daily! They want to go back. The house had a cool style and was extremely clean. The creative old town the owner built was so much FUN!!!! Very imaginative and cool! The hot tubs are amazing one is like a motion pool and the other is an super clean hot tub. The restaurants are great here. You can hear the sound of the waterfall on the house decks. So many dragonflies around the waterfall and you can swim in it in multiple spots. I don’t think there is a way to truly explain how truly magical this place is! There is a view from each room of the magical waterfall! Book enjoy, swim and play in your private waterfall. This property is truly amazing we will be back! Xoxo, Skye Taten

Backyard paradise

The rushing river in the backyard IS the reason to stay here! views to the river in every room of the house, well appointed game room and jacuzzi made this location an incredible stay! The pictures do not do the view justice! It is breathtakingly beautiful with gazebo w/firetable right in front. So many places to enjoy the view and relax in nature. The deck is wrap around and looks new/well cared for. The pictures were slightly misleading, the house is spacious, but oddly positioned. Two of the bedrooms are accessed by going out of the main house and going down a set of external stairs. Those two bedrooms smell a bit musty. Also, one of the bedrooms in the main house is actually an office with a big desk and couch. The couch is a pullout, but much better than the typical pullout, it has good support and is “full” size. There is a double oven and two refrigerators and dish washer and microwave that all look brand new. Also, flatscreens in every room and digital locks, blinds in main room and heating/air. Well cared for house and the owner is very detailed and was so kind to check in. I would stay here again and would recommend to others with my notes above. Incredible location!!!

an epic Yosemite adventure for our family from England

We absolutely loved our time at the house in Yosemite Forks. The location was perfect - it was just off the main road for everything in the Yosemite area and a five-minute drive to the main shopping area of Oakhurst. And yet, the house felt like it was a world away from everything because the property is so private, and every view was spectacular. We were there with our family of ten. My husband and I were "hosting" our family from England on an epic Yosemite adventure, and this house was one of their favorite things about the trip. The waterfall and surrounding area are among the things that make this property truly unique. The house was well appointed with everything we needed and lots of little extras. My niece, with the two kids (8 and 6) appreciated the washer and dryer. We also appreciated the second refrigerator/freezer for our water, soda, and drinks! Everyone loved the pool and jacuzzi, and game room. Honestly, we kind of had to drag the gang away to go sightseeing. We went to Mariposa Grove, Yosemite Floor Tour, the Sugar Pine Train, and the Splash & Dash park, among other things - the house was central to all of it. I did a lot of research on what area of the Yosemite region to stay, and I think Oakhurst is the perfect location. It has tons of restaurants and shops, and a wonderful visitor center with helpful staff. Yelena was great and so helpful. She checked in by text message to see if we needed anything, and I really appreciated that.

Exceeded every expectation

We had 8 adults and 5 kids/babies in our family group. The separation of floors with the outside stairwell turned out to be the very best scenario with a crawling baby. No stairs for him to climb or fall down while we were on either floor! It also allowed for the feeling of privacy between family units. The house was comfortable and we truly felt like we were on vacation. Both bedrooms downstairs and the upstairs master were very comfortable. My niece said the living room pull out was fine. The office pull out was the only disappointment of our trip. I felt bad for my brother-in-law…he didn’t fit on the mini pull out by length and it was pretty uncomfortable. He was a good sport, but I felt bad asking him to pay an equal amount as the rest of us. The true shining star of this house though is the property. It is truly incredible. The waterfall and stream gave us daily entertainment for ourselves and the kids. We were down there every day of our trip (a full week). We had a blast. The 10ft pool was surprisingly perfect for our group of young kids ages 11 months-6 years old. The 5 kids and 2 adults fit comfortably and allowed us a cool activity everyday once we were back from hikes or wedding events. The hot tub was also nice, although less necessary with 95 degree days. I can imagine how wonderful it would be if there any other time of year with cooler/cold evenings. Highly recommend this property and would rent again for our Oakhurst wedding trip a million times over.

This was a great venue for a large family. Beautiful view of the cascading waterfalls, right from the deck. Enjoyed that the game room was off from the main house and sound or others enjoying it was not even heard from inside the living room. This place has everything!
