Escape to the sunny coastal shores and experience the ultimate getaway in this charming 3-bedroom, 2 bath cottage duplex. (sleeps 6) The Rookery is beautifully positioned at the edge of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve and is merely minutes – approximately 0.4 miles – to the beach.

With convenient access to your front door, embrace an effortless transition as you settle in and make this space your own. Unwind in the cozy living room, where you can curl up and watch your favorite shows on the smart TV with satellite/cable channels.

Explore the fully furnished kitchen, complete with coffee maker, blender, toaster, crock pot, lobster pot and all the necessary cookware and utensils to whip up delicious meals. Gather around the dining table or enjoy al fresco dining on the porch.

The primary bedroom features a queen bed, private ensuite bath, and smart TV, making it a perfect place to recharge after a day on the beach. The second bedroom offers a comfy queen bed, while the third bedroom has two twin beds, each room with its own flat-screen TV, so everyone can enjoy a relaxing stay together.

Savor your morning coffee or enjoy a refreshing evening pause on the porch, where the ceiling fans and retractable blinds enhance both comfort and shade. Adjacent to the entrance, the block patio features a grill for outdoor culinary activities and includes a water sprayer, perfect for rinsing off sand following beach excursions. Enjoy a stroll along the shoreline, find the perfect seashells, splash in the waves, build sandcastles, or simply relax in the ocean breeze. Before retiring for the day, a visit to the hot tub is essential to cap off the evening for ultimate relaxation.

About a 20-minute drive from Gulf Shores, The Rookery provides an ideal combination of tranquility and nature, making it a wonderful choice for families. The community boasts an array of amenities, including a large zero-entry pool, a second smaller pool, a covered gazebo, a hot tub, a tennis court, and a community grilling area equipped with picnic tables. There are three beach accesses nearby (the nearest apprx. 0.4 mi).

Along this stretch of beach, away from the crowds and high-rise buildings, you’ll encounter a delightful array of wildlife that makes each visit truly unique. Watch for dolphins in the distant waves, pelicans gliding in formation overhead as seagulls swoop and soar, egrets strolling at water’s edge, sandpipers and crabs scurrying about, and much, much more. Each visit unveils a unique spectacle of nature. Whether it’s the gentle rustle of sea oats in the breeze or the occasional glimpse of a sea turtle making its way ashore, this idyllic setting promises a memorable experience every time.

We spent a month in this beautiful condo and it was perfect for us! It was away from the traffic and crowds of Gulf Shores city, but close enough to see the sights. The people in the surrounding condo's were friendly yet didn't bother us and seem to look out for each other. We went in February, so we didn't make use of the pool, but the hot tub was very nice. I packed some kitchen items because so many other vacation homes we've stayed in didn't have even a pizza pan or pizza cutter, but I never used any of the items we packed because this home was so well stocked. It's a very relaxing place to spend some time and we would love to return again! Thanks for everything Carol!

This was a great house. The furniture was very comfortable as well the beds were great. The kitchen had a large selection of cooking items. Our unit was very close to the pool which was great, large with plenty of seating around. It was just a short drive to the beach which was very nice, not crowded. i would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Ft. Morgan Beach.

The home was great, plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen was well stocked, the owner had everything there you could need. The only negative issue was the housekeeping had only left 2 washcloths in the master bath, plenty of towels but we made it work without bothering the owner. It was a nice place to stay.

Very clean cottage not far from the beach. Carol is personable and easy to reach by phone. The kitchen has everything you need if you stay in and cook. Many restaurants close by. There is so much to do in the area. We loved the relaxing pace of Fort Morgan. We will be back someday!

A darling cottage

We arrived on Friday, checked in the minute. We walked in the Door we were all in awe of how beautiful this little cottage was. It's perfect if you like to stay in the quiet area. Each bedroom was the perfect size.The bathrooms were great. You're still not far from any action that goes on around you. If you've never stayed here, you need to stay at least once. The cottage is gorgeous and the manager is awesome to deal with

Great stay just outside the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores.

Our family enjoyed the home and amenities on the property. The pool was close and perfect for kids of all sizes. The ocean was a 4 minute bike ride away and was quite and less crowded than your typical gulf shores beach. There are a few places to eat and a small store at the local restaurant all a bike ride away. We hope to go back in the future! Thanks for sharing your space with us Carol!
