About Tonya Bledsoe

My name is Tonya Bledsoe & I am the broker/owner at Smoky Mountain realty. I live approximately 40 minutes from Townsend, TN. I am a native of east TN & love the mountains. I fell in love with Townsend several years ago & hope to retire to this community someday. My husband is Keith Bledsoe & he owns a classic car lot Smoky Mountain Traders, it is located about 30 minutes from Townsend.

Tonya Bledsoe purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Tonya Bledsoe chose Townsend

We use to rent cabins a lot in Laurel Valley & really enjoyed the beautiful golf course. We started looking to buy & chose this one for the views & the fact that it is easy to get to. There's no big hills going into it & sets on a fairly level lot & that's hard to find in the mountains. so there's no need to worry in the winter.

What makes this cabin unique

We love to golf & spend time at the creek. Townsend is like a whole different world. It is so peaceful here but close to the busy cities when you need them.

comfortable and cozy =peaceful

The cabin was just what my bride of 52 years and I needed to snuggle into to celebrate five years of being breast cancer free after her surgery in October 2012. We enjoyed sunny days and a drive thru Cades Cove, wandering thru the beauty God was painting around us. Then we were blessed with a rainy Saturday when we could just be comfortable inside a beautiful cabin and be blessed cozying up with each other and a wood fire. We didn't need a lot of activities...just each other. I am so thankful for every year we have had together, but I'm especially grateful for every minute of the last five years God has granted to us. Trinity's Hideaway helped to highlight some of those minutes and make them very precious. The location, the accessability, the views, the comfort....all fantastic! We plan to return soon and often. Best cabin we've ever rented. Dave and Carol 1SG(Ret) US Army, Cleveland, TN

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for choosing Trinity's Hideaway to celebrate such a milestone. Congratulations for so many years together and 5 years of being cancer free. You certainly had some reasons to celebrate. I am so glad you enjoyed our cabin. I hope to someday retire here and enjoy the mountains and peacefulness daily. I hope you will return soon. Thanks again for staying.

Fall Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Quaint little cabin that was very quiet and easy access to the Foothills Parkway and Cades Cove. Was great seeing turkeys work their way down the fairway in the morning. Porch was loaded up with wood so it was nice to be able to build a fire on the cold evenings. Only thing that was a negative is that the small back deck is too crowded with a grille, table and chairs, and hot tub.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin and area. I'm sorry the back deck is not larger, before I bought the property someone had closed in part of it for the bonus room so it makes for a smaller back deck. Some of the renters use the hot tub and some use the grill so I don't ever know what would be best to remove. I'm thinking on that and hopefully I will have better accommodations if you ever decide to come back again. Thanks again for staying.

Trinity's Hideaway gave us just what we needed! A beautiful, roomy cabin set in a very convenient location just outside of Townsend. Easy drive to Smoky Mountains, very peaceful & quiet at night. Would definitely go back!

Needs updating.

  • 3 of 5

I had to fix the pin in the chimney to get the flue to stay open and the smoke would not draw well, so we skipped the fireplace. The hot tub is on an open back porch with no walking room and leaves kept falling in so we had to keep the filter clean. The grill worked for about three minutes, seems to be very old. It’s a decent house for the location on the golf course but not what I would consider a cabin. They did keep plenty of firewood on the front covered porch. We enjoy warm fires and cooking on our getaways, this house just needs some TLC.

Owner's Response: I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy our Cabin. We have the chimney cleaned and checked yearly, October is nearly impossible to get him in there because that is normally our busiest month because of the leaves changing. I’ve had him scheduled to come out this next week, will be sure to tell him about the damper. We do have several trees in the back to help create the privacy for the hot tub and unfortunately the leaves continuously fall this time of the year. The hot tub is larger for batter accommodation so it doesn’t leave a lot of room when you add the grill and outside table, we will consider maybe a smaller table. We have not had complaints on the grill but will check on it and replace it if needed. This cabin is a 2nd home for us and plan to retire here someday so we try to take very good care of it. We absolutely love the peasefulness, views and location of the Cabin, we looked at many others before choosing this one. The winter months are our time to update so we have already planned some changes in January. So sorry you didn’t enjoy our cabin, it is not rustic and does not sit back in the woods, if it did we would have more problems with bears and we prefer to try to keep them at a distance. We hope you will find your perfect getaway that you can always return to. Thanks again for staying.

Great value, nothing fancy but good location and very clean

  • 4 of 5

Chose it because it was in the Townsend area and its low cost, cheaper than motels in Townsend. It is not isolated, with cabins a few feet away on either side and all up and down the street. Despite this, set up for privacy and we didn't see or hear anyone the whole time we were there (Tuesday and Wednesday nights). Location is on a narrow ridge top with a partial view of the Smokies out front, no view out back. Golf course fairways at foot of ridge, saw wild turkeys out on it in late afternoon. Interior looks more like a suburban tract home than a vacation cabin, things are a little worn, especially the bathroom, but everything worked and it was incredibly clean. Hot tub on small back porch, so maneuvering the cover a little bit of a challenge and needed a flashlight to see the controls. Master bedroom roomy with good bed, but back bedroom with futon would be no fun to sleep in. Close to good restaurants and only ten minutes to the park entrance. Not a great choice for family with kids, not much room to play or ramble outside, inside a little cramped.
