It is secluded and private, yet convenient to get to all the places we enjoy, and the drive into town is absolutely beautiful. Although there are very few neighbors, the ones we have are friendly and treat us like family.
We especially enjoy the serenity of hiking around the mountain, picking blackberries or viewing wildlife. After a long day of kayaking or hiking some trails, we can relax in the hot tub to take in the view or sit in the rocking chairs on the porch or gaze out the window from the living room or bedroom. No matter which we choose, it is like heaven on earth!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! The view was so amazing, it was like a postcard! This was just what we needed to refresh and revive ourselves! I want to reserve a week for next fall as well! Can't wait to come back!
Met our daughter and grandkids here, perfect place for a family getaway. The cabin was very roomy for us all with Disney movies for the little ones, plenty of mountain to explore for the older ones, and relaxing rocking chair for me! Plus the hot tub was a huge hit! Kids enjoyed the Polar Express, adults enjoyed the view:)
Our family of six stayed for a long weekend, it was awesome!! The cabin was beautiful, wife now wants to decorate our house the same way. The kids enjoyed hiking through the woods and around the mountain, they found the tree house the owners had told us about. We loved Bryson City, even though it is not as active this time of year. Best part was sitting out in the hot tub at night looking at the stars. I was afraid it would be too cold, but felt great!!
We had a good time and the view from the house was breathtaking. We also enjoyed the fireplace and the jacuzzi. Our negative review on this house would have to be the cleanliness. The house was very dusty, and looked like it had not been cleaned for months. It looked like there was an infestation of lady bugs there. These bugs, mostly dead, dried up bugs, were found on every window sill, bed, bathroom counter top, and all of the floors. Also, the road is not paved on the way up the mountain and sort of dangerous.
During our stay we most enjoyed the extraordinary view the overall cleanliness of the cabin and hot tub. And also enjoyed the safety of the gated drive. The cabin was very secluded with a very nice sense of privacy. Will definitely be returning for another visit.
We recently visited with our extended family and had a wonderful time. The views are great and can be enjoyed from the wrap around porch. The cabin layout was very comfortable and functional. We also made use of the hot tub. The drive up the road/driveway was not difficult, however I recommend trying to arrive before dark to navigate the first time in daylight. The cabin is located close to the Smoky Mountain Natl Park and we enjoyed some day trips there.
We definitely enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is very beautiful and well equipped. The view overlooking the National Park is great with gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit, too! The location is perfect as it is near the park, Bryson City and the Parkway. The only downside at all is the steep unpaved road to the cabin which was a little scary the first time up the mountain but was easier once you knew where you were going. I would most definitely recommend it, however not for anyone disabled as there are stairs to climb and bedrooms on three levels. Overall we had a great time!
