Ask a questionAbout Lasseters
Terry and Elizabeth Lasseter have been enjoying the Smoky mountains for nearly 40 years so felt it only natural to build their own cabin. Terry is a retired mailman and Elizabeth is a high school virtual school teacher. They have been avid kayakers, hikers, and nature lovers who fell in love with mountain life. They hope you love the cabin as much as they do!!
Why Lasseters chose Swain County
After camping in the mountains for years, we finally started renting cabins. We then decided to build our own so we could own a piece of heaven! We looked for two years to find just the right spot. It has privacy and serenity, yet is convenient to town and all the mountain activities we love. We could not find just the right floor plans, so drew our own to build the perfect place to build forever memories.
What makes this Cabin unique
It is secluded and private, yet convenient to get to all the places we enjoy, and the drive into town is absolutely beautiful. Although there are very few neighbors, the ones we have are friendly and treat us like family. We especially enjoy the serenity of hiking around the mountain, picking blackberries or viewing wildlife. After a long day of kayaking or hiking some trails, we can relax in the hot tub to take in the view or sit in the rocking chairs on the porch or gaze out the window from the living room or bedroom. No matter which we choose, it is like heaven on earth!
