This home was absolutely perfect. Not far from town and the view was stunning. Sandy the host was amazing. Did everything and then some to make our vacation as relaxing as possible. Very informative of the area. Perfect location o take day trips in every direction. A must stay. We will be back

Cabin was very nice, had everything we needed, was clean and very private. The view from the deck was amazing! The drive up to get to the cabin was quite steep and not something I would want to do in the dark but we had no problem in our Chevy Colorado truck. (We went the last week in August and were always back at the cabin before dark). It was really nice to have the hot tub inside the screened porch. If you’re looking for true peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Cindy & Pat Stevens from Florida

This property was comfortable, well equipped and there was an amazing view. The location offered many choices for outdoor activities and dining. We would probably stay here again.

After renting Retreat to guests for 26 years on VRBO we have learned a lot. And we are still learning! We have learned you can't please all of the people all of the time. While a 4 star review is a big disappointment, we will continue to do our very best and learn from it.

It is more than disappointing to get a 4 star review. We have been with VRBO for 26 years. VRBO has very high standards for accepting properties to rent to guests. We feel we are not only disappointing them but our housekeeper, our landscaper. Our hot tub maintenance person and ourselves as well. Even though our guests wrote they had a wonderful time and made other positive comments we will try harder!

Vacation getaway

The location has a great view of the Smokie Mountains especially the sunsets. It was so peaceful and relaxing which made it so easy to relax which is just what we wanted.

What a wonderful time at The Retreat in the Sky! Convenient to Bryson City, NOC, Andrews Rail Bikes, etc. We kayaked, hiked, relaxed, and soaked in the mountain air. Great host who went out of her way to make our stay outstanding!
