Time for A Glow Up
Pros: This is a cute cabin in a nice, secluded location. The hosts were responsive. Cons: The pics must’ve been taken a long time ago! The cabin needs some TLC and a deep clean.

Photos make the cabin look like a dream. Upon arrival, however it was a different experience. The bathroom, hot tub and the over all cabin were disappointing.
This property could be special but we just found it difficult to relax due to cleanliness and areas in need of repair. Photos seem to be older. Would not consider this property family friendly unless cleanliness and maintenance items are addressed. We are the type to unpack our suitcases and really get settled in but we just didn’t feel like we could do that. Surfaces were generally dirty/sticky and in need of repair. The upstairs carpet smelled of urine. Of course the kids found that when playing games on the floor, so that quickly put us off. Cooking was also a challenge. Some of the cookware was newer but some just needed replacing due to use and wear. For example, the skillet was warped so it would not sit flat on the stovetop. We had to prop it up against the knife block to balance it to get an even cook. There was not a stopper for the sink so that made it difficult to clean as we were preparing food. Also a lack of wash and dry towels in the kitchen did not help. The bathroom vanity and door are showing wear and evidence that a dog may have been left in there at some point due to clawing and chewing marks. The main bedroom mattress was sunken in from use. We turned it and made the best of it. The floors need a good steam clean. And some floor tiles need replacing due to cracking. We communicated our concerns with the host the morning after check in while using the space and noticing problems. We were refunded 75. We ended up checking out a day early.
The cabin was TREMENDOUS! Clean- spacious- everything worked well! HOT TUB Great. Outdoor fire pit great. Secluded but east to find. Hiked 50 miles- some in snow.Out door grill was great.HOST Kelesy was outstanding! Will rent again next yearJohn Lynne Walters St. Louis.
We enjoyed our time at this charming cabin. The location was perfect for our daily exploration into the Great Smoky Mountains. We were able to see a momma bear and her 2 cubs as we left one morning. That was such a special moment. Overall the cabin was perfect for our needs. It is small, but as a family of 3 that didn’t matter to us. With only 1 bathroom more than 4 people might be a bit congested. The overall cleanliness of the cabin could have been better. We noticed little things like dishes in the cupboard with food stuck to them, shower had some dirt on floor and caulk was starting to mold, the vent in bathroom and hall cold air return were covers in dust bunnies, floors and dining table felt sticky. They were small things that didn’t affect our stay, but areas that could use some attention.
