This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful property and again, we have nothing but praise for this place! It is a nice house, nicely furnished and contains pretty much anything you could possibly need. The country location is peaceful, quiet, and serene with amazing night sky views. The location is convenient to so many destinations: Ridgway, Ouray, Silverton, Telluride, and of course, Montrose. Sue and Mike are fantastic Hosts that are friendly and enjoyable to talk to. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

The house was very clean. The kitchen well stocked. Thoughtful touches were found throughout, like fresh flowers and even sleep masks. (lots of windows and natural light during the day and night) The views were incredible! This was the perfect homebase for our adventures in Ouray, Telluride, Silverton, and our visit to Black Canyon NP. Sue was easy to communicate and very accommodating.

There are many things we loved about this vacation home. The hosts are delightful, friendly and responsive, addressing every question promptly and to our satisfaction. The home itself was very clean and comfortable, and we really liked having a bathroom in each bedroom. Also, there were many extras that we haven’t had in other rentals, like fresh flowers on the table and healthy snacks. Windows across the front of the home give a beautiful view of the mountains and afternoon rains; it’s very peaceful and relaxing to just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. A definite plus is the central location that made it convenient to access so many attractions in the area. All things considered, we definitely recommend this home for others visiting area.

We moved to Montrose five and a half years ago and love our community. We are excited to host guests on our property and share our views and knowledge of the area.

Why they chose this property

This home is a newer build with beautiful decor, but the views are what are to die for. The home faces South and has views of the San Juan Mountain range. The sun sets over the ridge to the West. Grand Mesa can be seen to the North, and Buckhorn mountain is directly across the road to the East. Sunsets and alpine glows are amazing! We are in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to highway 550.

What makes this property unique

This home is a Frank Lloyd Wright design. It is an open airy space with exposed beams. All of the floor to ceiling windows face South with beautiful views of the San Juans. All new appliances, comfy beds, fluffy towels, and a very well stocked kitchen will leave you relaxed and ready to go out and explore the surrounding areas.
