SOUND-N-BEACHY, is the perfect location for your OBX getaway. Come stay with us and enjoy the amazing sunsets over the Albemarle sound from the screened in porch. We are just steps away from the Bay Drive Multi Use Path, a 3-mile Pedestrian walking /biking path. The path runs along the sound and leads to the Wright Memorial.
We are less than a mile from multiple beach access points, a 3-minute drive to Hayman Blvd access with free parking. 3 -minutes from the Avalon fishing pier. 2-minutes from the dock street public boat ramp. 5-minute walk from the Hayman Blvd gazebo. 2-minutes from Hayman public park with children's play area.

This spacious and sunny cottage has an open floor plan with an expanded living area.
There is room for everyone to sit and relax, watch the large smart TV with Roku and surround sound.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the necessities to cook a family style meal. Dishes, Silverware, pots and pans, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer and crockpot. Paper towels, and dishwasher/dishwashing detergent is also supplied. The large custom Kitchen table has seating for 6-8.
A full-size washer and dryer are located in the hall closet. Down the hall you will find, two costal style queen bedrooms, with plush mattresses, cozy bedding and Roku TVs and ceiling fans. There is a shared full bathroom located in the hall. The primary Bedroom features a king size bed with a desk, dresser and large closet. TV with Roku and ceiling fan. The on-suite bathroom has a large double sink vanity with plenty of storage.
Downstairs there is a twin xl over queen bunk bed, TV with Roku and ceiling fan. This is where you will enter the home using the nest smart door lock system.
The outdoor shower is located under the house along with a covered seating area, the swing and Adirondack chairs are perfect for catching the relaxing afternoon breeze. The home is conveniently located within walking and or biking distance to many activities and restaurants. 4 min walk to the Hayman Blvd gazebo and public boat ramp. 3 min drive to beach access with parking, 8 min walk to Hayman Blvd Park/playground, 3 min drive or 10 min bike ride to Avalon Pier, 7 min drive to the Wright Memorial, 6 min drive to Kitty Hawk Skate Park.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Leave beds unmade, housekeeping will remove sheets.
Return any used items from the storage shed and lock bikes up.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Absolutely No Pets of any kind. If pets are found to have entered the property a $500.00 fee will be charged to the guest.
No Smoking inside the home. There is a $500.00 fee for smoking of vaping of any kind inside the home.
No Party's or events. A $500.00 fee will be charged and may be grounds for eviction from the property.

We had a wonderful getaway to Kill Devil Hills prior to Erin interrupting our stay. Our host was so awesome to work with and get information about places to go and see. The home was gorgeous and impeccably cleaned. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting a close proximity to both the ocean and the sound. The neighborhood was beautiful and well kept, also a huge plus when traveling with youngsters. It felt very safe.

They go the extra mile

This house was clean and comfortable. We felt truly welcome with the extra treats! There were great family games and a couple bicycles too. It’s not quite close enough to walk to the beach but we did enjoy walking to the sound. Thank you for sharing your home!

Why they chose this property

I grew up vacationing in the outer banks and have dreamed of owning a cottage for many years. Being so close to both the ocean and the sound is truly a blessing. There is nothing like waking up early for the sunrise over the Atlantic and taking a stroll evening stroll down Bay Drive to see the sunset, both within a mile of each other. We love our beach box and hope you will too.

What makes this property unique

From the screened in porch you can catch a glimpse of the Albemarle sound as you sip your morning coffee. Under the carport you can enjoy the constant breeze as you make a toast to the evening with friends on the wine deck. Later walk down bay drive for the most spectacular sunset you have ever seen. No two are the same but they are all equally as beautiful.
