Stylish beach house located less than a block's walk from Carlsbad State Beach! Our home is beautifully furnished with touches of casual elegance!

Your private patio deck offers open space for outdoor dining. It is the perfect location to enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage as you enjoy Carlsbad's comfortable ocean breeze.

If you want to take a break from the beach, explore Carlsbad Village, located three blocks north. A wide range of restaurants, many antique stores, clothing boutiques, chocolatiers, bars, nightlife, are all within walking distance of this lovely, comfortable home.

The Space:
This unit is one of three on the property that does offer community laundry and a natural gas BBQ for guests to use! In the first bedroom there is a queen size bed. In the second bedroom, a full size bed and twin bunk beds. AC can be found in all rooms.

The Living Room:
- Open concept living/dining/kitchen with elegant french doors along the south-facing wall that open up to the private patio
- Bright and sunny sitting area
- Comfortable seating, a smart tv with access to live tv
- Wifi speed is fast, perfect for video calls for remote work or learning.

The Kitchen:
- Pristine all white color palette with gorgeous countertops and open shelving for easy to access kitchenware.
- Refrigerator, gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher
- Cookware, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
- Toaster, blender and other cooking gadgets
- Traditional drip coffee maker to get you started for the day.

The Dining Room:
- Tastefully decorated dining area
- Dining table with seating for six
- Ceiling fan

The Main Suite:
- Queen sized bed with comfortable mattress and pillows
- AC with remote
- Ceiling fan
- Closet with hangers for clothing storage

The Second Suite
- Double bed with quality linens and comfortable pillows
- Bunk bed perfect for the little ones, adorned with soft sheets, comfortable pillows, and cold weather blankets if required
- Large closet with hangers for clothing and suitcase storage

Main Bathroom:
- Full bathroom with shower-tub combo
- All bathrooms are equipped with plush towels, toilet paper, hand soap, hair dryer, and quality shampoo products

Outdoor Deck:
- Private outdoor deck, seating for four

Other Amenities:
- Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards
- Community use washing machine and dryer with laundry detergent
- Reserved off street parking space in rear of the property

Guests will have exclusive access to the unit with self-check in capability via a smart lock. The unit, parking space and the front patio in front of the unit are all solely for guest use.

This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals who will always be available for any guest inquiries.

Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft.

Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets.

Great Beach Access

The beach is about a block away with nice walking and jogging paths. Shops and restaurants are about two blocks away. And just a few miles to Legoland!

Amazing property. Loved everything about it. The amenities in the house were great had everything we needed for our stay. So relaxing the area is beautiful and felt super safe. Sitting on the patio listening to the waves crash was icing on the cake. Amazing restaurants and shopping are a quick walk away. Had an amazing stay definitely staying there again.

Awesome place! Absolutely perfect. Might not be great for the people below if you have small kids that naturally stomp when they walk (or run and drop toys etc) as the floors do allow every step to be felt/heard.

100% Relaxing Getaway

I am a terrible sleeper and I slept great here! Very comfy and the location (just a block from the beach and a couple blocks from the village) is perfect. This was truly just what we needed and was a good fit for our whole family. If you are a light sleeper you might want earplugs. I think that would be true for anywhere in Carlsbad (not just here) because the train runs right through the village. The cottage had everything we needed. The only quirky thing is the thermostat. It's on the wall and it might look like it's on, but it's a little tricky. You have to point the remote directly at the heat/AC unit to get it to turn on.

Great location and nice place

Great location and we’ll appointed home that always smells beautiful surrounded by flowers. Walk to the beach and restaurants is very convenient and we liked having a nice patio to sit. Spent a week here with my family and we enjoyed our stay. Things to know if you’re booking this to set expectations: Furnishings are showing their age and high use; bathroom is very basic just a tub and shower curtain with a towel rack; main bed is a small queen and very firm; beach items show lots of use but nice to have them. All in all I provided a 4 star rating.

Cute Cottage & Perfect location

This location was the best! It was a true 3 minute walk to toes in the sand, near a crosswalk to cross the road. And for whatever the reason the section of the beach right at the bottom of the steps never seemed quite as busy as the others which was great and it was less rocky as well. There’s a great restaurant on the corner, many go there to watch the sunset. It’s a 5 min walk to the village area for shops and restaurants. The street is quiet. Loved that there were plenty of extra towels while I was washing the ones we used, house and beach ones. Great supply of beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas. Very convenient shower outside for rinsing off the salt and sand bonus that it was plumbed with both hot & cold water. The unit was clean where it should be and could use a look over more often in the places that may not need a clean every single time where dust/dirt settles, ex. the fan blades and top of the fridge. Again, from getting to see in person where other units were located that I looked at online I would definitely choose this one again. Thanks for letting us stay!

Cute, Comfy, and Convenient Beach Cottage

Perfect beach cottage! We enjoyed the location; very short walk to beach and/or Carlsbad Village. This two bed/1 bath had all amenities and comfort to make you feel at home. The outdoor shower, beach supplies, driveway parking, and laundry machine were all added bonuses. Check in/out was a breeze, and provided well in advance of the trip; excellent communication. We enjoyed our stay so much we hope to come back again next year with other families.

Great beach house

We spent a week at this house and had a great time. The house is walking distance to both the beach and Carlsbad Village, which made getting around for the week very easy. We're already making plans to come back with friends and rent all three units.

Great place

Such a cute and cozy house, literally steps from the beach. Loved having coffee on the front porch in the morning and enjoying a glass of wine there in the evening. The outdoor shower was key with 3 kids who love the beach. Boogie boards, chairs, sand toys were all provided as well. We come to Carlsbad several times a year and will definitely stay here again.

Nice place in a great location

Cannot beat the short walk to the beach and the village. Unit itself isn't spacious, but is really functional and in great shape Communication was fast (though would have ideally had the broken toaster replaced). Note - the laundry is shared among the units. Would definitely stay there again.

Holiday Getaway

We had a great stay at this property. The location is great and the unit is nicely designed and maintained. My only note is that the bathroom wasn’t that clean when we arrived…hair, grime, etc. It wasn’t anything major but enough to think somebody didn’t pay close attention. That said, we’ll keep it in our list of properties for our WFH West Coast trips. Communication with property manager was excellent.

Ideal Getaway

This place is the best of everything. The location is ideal, the place is charming. Everything about staying here made for a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. The sunlight streams in, it is clean, it is so close to the beach and places to eat. Absolutely wonderful! We will be staying here again.

Great weekend in Carlsbad

Great property with amazing location! Super easy, short walk to the beach and to town. Great nearby restaurants. Property itself has two nice outdoor sitting areas on opposite sides so you can choose sun or shade. Receives great, warm morning sun in the kitchen and front deck in October. Bedrooms all have AC units. Has coffee maker; no coffee grinder. Worked perfectly for a family with an 8 month old and 3 year old.
