About the property

Cabin, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 10-14), Wifi, Mtn View

In beautiful Pigeon Forge, Tennessee you will find an amazing log cabin for rent called Amazing Place. This large 3,271 sq ft, 3-step easy entrance, 5 bedroom log cabin rental with 3 king beds, 1 queen, 1 full bed, 2 futons, 5 decks adding an additional 1,311 sq ft of 'space' all with phenomenal, breathtaking mountain view of Wears Valley and Cove Mountain, 8 person hot tub and is located near Pigeon Forge looking out over the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Breathtaking views of Wears Valley and Cove Mountain greet you as you enter Amazing Place from the porch and this rustic Smoky Mountains log cabin rental fits right into the scenery perfectly.

As you enter the front door which opens into the kitchen, the scent of pine from the cabinets permeates the area. The top of the cabinets are decorated with items from bygone days such as old fashion bread box, tea kettle, and old aluminum pots all of which add to the country charm. Large 7 foot windows allow a view of the mountain and valley.

The fully equipped kitchen in the cabin has all the amenities of home. You can serve your meals on the large dining table that seats 8 with 4 additional seats at the bar.

The living room has large windows that extend to the top of the cabin providing a great view of the valley and mountains and there is plenty of seating for everyone with 2 overstuffed recliners, a sofa, 2 love seats and 3 large ottomans. You may just want to watch your favorite sports or program on the TV with Satellite service or on the DVD/VCR.

Make plans today to rent the Amazing Place cabin in Pigeon Forge for your next family or group stay in the Smokies.

Please Note: The cabin has it's own lot on top of the ridge/mountain. There are other houses around, but it has it's privacy. It's NOT a 'development' where the houses are stacked side-by-side and you share your driveway with your next door neighbor. It's more of a ridge/mountain neighborhood area, with it's own private driveway.

Please also note that some furniture pieces may change due to upgrading or decor changes.

Things to do close to Amazing Place:

1. There is horseback riding at Walden's Creek Stables, which is about 7 miles [15-18 minutes] from the cabin.

2. Dollywood is about 10 miles [approx 20 minutes] from the cabin.

3. River Rat tubing is about 8 miles away [8-10 minutes] from the cabin.

4. Zipling at Wahoo Zip Lining - 12 miles from the cabin.

5. The Dixie Stampede is about 10 miles [10-13 minutes] from the cabin.  This is a show that includes dinner and show with horses.  It's fun for the entire family!

6. A 'freebie' you can do that is very popular is Cade's Cove. It's a drive-thru 'nature park'. There are deer and tons of other wildlife walking around and is fun for everyone.  Also, a beautiful place for photographs.  You're about 30 minutes to get to Cade's Cove from the cabin. Just go the opposite way of town - when you leave the cabin turn right and follow the signs.

7. Putt Putt at Firehouse Golf is about 7 miles [10-12 minutes] from the cabin.

8. Eagle’s Landing Golf Club is located 15 miles [25 minutes] from the cabin.

9. There is a Kroger supermarket about 9 miles [10 minutes] from the cabin.

10. Walmart Supercenter approximately 10 miles from the cabin.  I know this helps our guests offset some of the eating out costs by stocking up with groceries for dining in at the cabin.  :-)

Why Maegan chose East

This cabin was designed with the family in mind - large families, extended families, church families/retreats - to get them together to enjoy an extended weekend, an entire week, or even a couple of weeks away! It is located 6 miles from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge but is on a beautiful piece property, nestled on top of a mountain with a stunning view!

What makes this cabin unique

Amazing Place is wonderful - it has a place for the 'guys' to be kids again while shooting pool. The women can relax in the hot tub and take in the gorgeous view. The children can go and play in the kid's room, watch TV, or play foosball in the game room. We enjoy going as a family, even taking other friends or family because it's so spacious with different 'areas' for everyone.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cary's reviews after being a guest in Amazing Place for a week: "We had a wonderful time in the Smokies, and Amazing Place was truly Amazing. We enjoyed the mountain views from the balconies very much. And there was plenty of space for 10 of us. Nice gameroom for the kids. The upstairs King Suites were really lovely."

Amazing Place is nothing short of amazing. The views are breath taking. This cabin is great and located right around everything there is to do. The owner is so easy to work with and made our experience great. I would definitely recommend this cabin and hope we will be back soon!

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

10 of us stayed in the cabin for a week, ages 7-74! We all enjoyed the great view and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The hot tub was in great shape and we all enjoyed it. I would recommend a better grill, we had planned on making a few meals on the grill but it was a charcoal grill and it wasn't worth the hassle for us.

Owner's Response: We were glad to welcome you to our cabin! We had a new grill on order at the time you were there, and it was installed on August 4th. We also have a concrete picnic table on order. We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the new grill :)

We love this cabin! My high school girlfriends and I, 11 of us, have gathered at Amazing Place the past two springs for our annual long weekend together. The property managers and owners are very responsive, nice, helpful and appreciate repeat business. There is an exceptional view too!

Truly An Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect! My husband and I along with our two sons, two daughters-in-law and six grandchildren spent four wonderful nights here. The cabin is very spacious and has something for everyone. The view in the morning from the upper deck is breathtaking! Our days were spent visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Nights were spent relaxing in the cabin. The grandchildren loved the game room and our children (and the grands!) loved the hot tub. We had no issues with the cabin or its amenities. It's a short drive to all the attractions but feels miles away when you are at the cabin to relax. We are already planning our next family trip and hope Amazing Place is available!

Amazing Place Amazing Vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was awesome. The view was awesome. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. We had 7 wonderful bear sightings at Cade's Cove, along with the turkey. Even with the spotty rain showers off and on all week we all had a fabulous time. The Island was the highlight one night we just enjoyed our vacation so much. My wife and I have been before, but the rest of the family was in total awe so the mountains and the relaxing time at Amazing Place. So I personally would like to Thank Maegan and her family for opening up the cabin for everyone to enjoy.

Amazing View, Not very clean :(

  • 2 of 5

Our extended family was blessed to be able to vacation for a week together. We thought we had found a great listing with 5 bedrooms to house all of us. The layout of this house is great, and the back porch overlooking the mountains was wonderful. However, we found this cabin outdated, unnecessarily dirty, and not a place we would truly like to stay. The kitchen was dirty and had bugs, which is not where you want to have your food. Some of the cookware was cracked or unusable. The carpet had been vacuumed, but still seemed dirty. They had hardwood underneath, so I am not sure why they even put carpet (a very large "rug") over top. The furniture was old, dingy, and dirty. Most of us refrained from sitting on it. The hot tub had a dirty ring around it and the filters looked as if they had not been changed in years. My brother spent an afternoon scrubbing and cleaning the hot tub to try to make it usable. The bedrooms were ok, just dusty and did not seem freshly cleaned. There was trash around the outside of the cabin, which attracted a bear. He climbed over the deck railing to chase us inside and eat the peanuts we had previously been eating. We had a water shortage while we were there. A repair man quickly came out and recommended not using any unnecessary water. Luckily, this problem was quickly fixed as it is hard to keep people from showering in 90+ weather. Overall, this COULD be a great property if cleaned and updated.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear about your experience. We do wish you would have contacted us and is the reason we do give contact information, after hours number and even email addresses to try to accommodate guests as much as possible when something needs to be attended to when they arrive or during their stay, as it’s impossible to remedy these things after you leave. Once we were aware of the water issue from other sources, we quickly resolved that issue as was stated in the review and how we work to resolve issues when we are contacted. Also, you can see from previous reviews, when guests called we sent people out and they had a great experience - as it is inevitable that things will occur, we can only do our best to resolve it when things happen. Unfortunately, guests do crack and break cookware, and because we can’t check everything between each stay we do need feedback from guests on what needs to be replaced. The rug is just over a year old, put down last Summer (guests wanted a rug in the living room for when the toddlers and kids are playing). We did post updated pictures so guests, such as yourselves, would know what it looks like and see the looks of the interior and furniture. Orkin does come and spray the cabin on a monthly basis to help prevent bugs, however the cabin is in the woods and some do get in on occasion unfortunately. Orkin has told us they are available to come out for an additional visit, if guests request it during their stay. At the time of your stay, we had ordered bear proof trash cans but had to wait for them to be made. They are now installed and should remedy the bear situation. Again, we do wish you had contacted us during your stay so we could have made your experience a better stay.
