Ocean front is a must.

The unit had modern appliances and was very well stocked with towels and TP which we appreciated. Great ocean view - loved watching the surfers, turtles and even had a whale show one morning from the deck. Grill area needs attention - one station had two grills but no lights so if you grill in the dark like we did, it was not great. The other station had a light but only one grill - the other grill spot was empty. Close to town & the highway which was good as well as you need a car on this island. Overall loved our stay here. Lovely home, wonderful location, and ocean views that can't be beat!

This home is just as lovely as the pictures show (or even more so!) Loved the furnishings, decor, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, beach gear.. didn't want for anything! Our favorite part was the lanai.. enjoying our early morning cups of coffee while watching the surfers, spotting turtles and colorful fish; relaxing and reading while enjoying the wonderful ocean views. Conveniently located close enough to shopping, farmer's markets, restaurants... We had an amazing 30th anniversary trip to the Big Island and a big part of that was because we found this special place!

Amazing Ocean Views

First, I just want to say that Holly is a joy to work with! Holly always kept the lines of communication open, answered all of my questions, and was super accommodating. I would absolutely rent from her again!

The condo is beautiful. It is extremely well maintained and updated. I don’t think the pictures do it justice. Being on the top floor was great – the place was very quiet and private. The biggest feature is the amazing views. You can see and hear the ocean – and it doesn’t disappoint. When we stood on the lanai we could see yellow tangs and sea turtles swimming! We also watched the surfers and enjoyed the most amazing sunsets you’ll ever see.

I felt the complex was in the perfect location. We were close to the town, but far enough away that we could still enjoy some peace and quiet . There’s a marketplace that we walked to that has local goods, food, coffee, and more.

For those of you who are concerned about the pool, they are upgrading it and that should be done in a few weeks or so. We were aware they would be working on it during our stay, but there wasn’t any noise or issues with it while we were there. Everyone was very friendly and courteous and we felt the complex was clean and well maintained.

Perfect getaway

Loved everything about our stay here. The ocean is right outside, and the lanai was the best place to lie back and relax during the heat of the day. We watched the surfers and sunsets and listed to breezes rustle through the palms.

All in all, the most relaxing week of my life.

Two things you should know before booking:

1. The waves are loud at night. If you need silence to sleep, this is not the rental for you. I loved the white noise, myself.

2. Even though a space air conditioner is provided, it doesn't do much to bring down the temperature on hot summer nights. I was comfortable in 75° conditions, but my husband was not. If you need cooler, consider booking a winter stay. This property is not to be missed.

My one comment to management is that the towels, while plentiful and soft, smelled mildewy when wet. A small detail.

Owner's Response: Aloha and thank you so much for your great review! I have gotten a few questions from other travelers about the A/C that you mentioned was in the condo, so I need to clarify that part a bit. The condo doesn't have any A/C, and I believe what you may have thought was one of those portable A/C units was actually a fancy tower floor fan, so although it did put out good air for circulation, it was not cooled. I'm glad that at least you were still comfortable even without any A/C, and sorry about any confusion with that! I have most definitely spoken to housekeeping about towels as well, and situation was remedied right away. We strive to have everything perfect for our guests, and I apologize for the less than perfect towels due to mildew odor (of course, a CONSTANT battle here!!!). Mahalo, Holly

Awesome rental

Very clean and spacious condo with 2 bath/bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, beach chairs/umbrellas, and really nice deck overlocking the beach

We had an awesome 10 days and didn't want to leave...
