About this property

Waterfront Charmer: Historic log cabin on quiet cove

A beautiful property located on a quiet street is perfect for a weekend getaway or weeklong family gathering. Inside you will find plenty of seating around the large, wood-burning fireplace. A cozy kitchen with large pantry and a dining table seating up to 8 is just around the corner or have coffee on the deck overlooking swimmers on covered dock. Three bedrooms located upstairs with additional A/C units for comfort.

One full bathroom with full laundry located downstairs and a second full bathroom upstairs off the largest bedroom with dual sinks and separate toilet/shower room. The enclosed heated/cooled porch features a seating area with smart TV and a small table, minifridge, and butcher block counter perfect for snacks and drinks. Everyone can find their own space - out on the dock fishing, swimming, or kayaking, grilling on the back deck, watching a movie or playing board games on the heated and cooled back porch, chatting around the large fireplace in the living room, swinging on the front porch swing, or napping upstairs.

Lots of parking available (can fit 4 cars) in the u-shaped pull-through driveway.

Full access to the cabin, dock, and yard. We also provide use of two single kayaks, tandem kayak, youth kayak, and floating mat (about 6’x10’). Life vests are also available.

Use of the boat and lift is not included but information is available about renting from the nearby Harbor Light Marina. Several boat ramps are located nearby and you are welcome to tie up to the dock.

About the host

Host profile image
Jason and Katie grew up in the same town in Florida, but didn't meet until many years later while both were assigned to Korea with the U.S. Army. After living in several places in the U.S., we settled in Greenville, South Carolina to raise our family and have been here for the past 10 years. But we found we were really missing the Florida "lake life," so we bought a boat and introduced our kids to skiing and boating on nearby Lake Hartwell.

Why they chose this property

We had been looking at lake properties for quite a while, looking for something special where we could spend time with our children and extended families, with easy access to the lake, and not too much boat traffic so our kids could swim and play off the dock. The cabin, its beautiful property, and easy walk to the dock in the cove off the main channel was everything we were looking for and more.
