|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
We invite you to stay at our comfy vacation home near the beach! This location--just a handful of houses down 15th Street, about a two-minute walk, with an unobstructed view straight down the road all the way to the ocean--provides all the amenities you need for a restful and fun filled Central Coast vacation.
Views of the ocean abound from the front of the home or from the upstairs balcony, where you can let in the sea breezes and sound of the roaring surf. The home is in a great location in the desirable numbered streets (15th Street and Cass). It's in the center of the surf/beach town of Cayucos and walk-able to the quaint downtown, but far enough away from town and Hwy 1 to have peace and quiet--with an unobstructed view down a very short and quiet street to the beach...providing ocean proximity but without the premium price of an ocean front rental!
This home is perfect for one family or more, for one or more couples, or for a girls or guys getaway trip. A backyard hot tub provides extra group fun.
Having two master King suites and two other Queen bedrooms provides lots of flexibility (and space). One suite even has an extra sleeper sofa! All main living areas and three bedrooms are located on the first floor. And, the main floor King suite is wheelchair/handicapped accessible which can be helpful for older family members.
There is lots of living space, plenty of dining space for all, the kitchen provides everything you need (whether you're into cooking or not), and wireless Internet is available throughout. There is also a long driveway that enables lots of parking.
The Central Coast is great place to vacation for couples, families or groups of friends. Cayucos--with its antique shops, great restaurants, Old Time Saloon, candy/ice cream shoppe, and pier--is at the center of it all!
Just a few minutes south, enjoy the wonders of Morro Bay, including hiking and tide pooling in Montana de Oro State Park, kayaking in Morro Bay, or the Museum of Natural History or Aquarium. The wine areas of Paso Robles / Templeton / Edna Valley are just about 30-45 minutes inland. Drive north to visit the Hearst Castle, the elephant seals at San Simeon Ragged Point, or the charming shops and restaurants in Cambria. And, don't miss points south including San Luis Obispo (with its historic downtown including the Old Mission, Thursday night Farmer's Market, and the Sunset Drive-In), Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, and more!
Cayucos is one of the Central Coast's best kept secrets. Come see what all the fuss is about!

Our family has been vacationing in Cayucos and the Central Coast for more than 10 years. We found this comfortable home and jumped at the chance to get here more often. We especially love sitting in the front yard/patio, enjoying the ocean breezes and sipping a great bottle of wine (or sparkling Cider for the kids).
Cayucos is a gem and one of the most unique beach towns along the California coast. The location is convenient to San Luis Obispo, points north including Cambria and the Hearst Castle, and the central wine region at Paso Robles...something for everyone!
Had a great time in your beautiful house over the holidays. Total of 9 Sherwoods and/or Selfs any given day. BUT, all were able to be here for Christmas Eve, Day, and the Christmas weekend. Hard to get 9 people together all at one time, with jobs, living in four different cities and two different states. But, we did it for a few days!! Even had visitors for one day from Corcoran and Washington State (they were sad they could only visit us for one day and then had to leave and go to work, etc.). The Polar Bear Dip was great...glad I am too old to do things like that.

We had a great vacation and look forward to coming back to this house. A few very minor complaints: not enough dish towels nor bath towels nor extra pillow cases. Lots of blankets and pillows, thank you. We could have used clear instructions on using - turning on and off, adjusting the heat - the hot tub. Those issues are definitely not enough to keep us from coming back. We'll bring more towels next year.
My friends and I had a great stay at this house! Wonderful setting, lots of rooms, great neighborhood (friendly neighbors), and very relaxing. Highly recommended and the hot tub is a bonus.
With a group that now contains some members who have mobility issues, finding this house with almost all bedrooms downstairs was a godsend. And the two of us who wound up in the upstairs suite felt very pampered. The house is also spacious and only a block from the beach. It was clean and everything worked (some places we've been have had issues). The hot tub was another bonus, though a more secure way to get in and out seems necessary. Downtown Cayucos is lovely, and Cambria, Harmony (glassworks, art gallery and winery) and Morro Bay are nearby. We definitely plan to go back again some time.
Excellent accommodations for our Annual Family Reunion. Hot Tub was a huge hit with family members. Would want to stay here again when I visit Cayucos.
Beautiful home with great view of the ocean. Saw lots of whales right from the front porch. Easy walk to the beach.
This was a wonderful home to stay at while here for our daughter's wedding. We were only 2 miles to their ranch, so it was very convenient. Great place to stay with family and friends. All the rooms were spacious. The master bedroom was perfect for my daughter and bridesmaids to get ready. Great for pictures! The spa was great after busy days getting ready for the big day. Loved the big dining table to have so everyone was able to eat together and to socialize. Hope to return soon and stay here again for some real vacation time.
Hearst Castle (about 30 minutes north), Elephant Seals (30 minutes), Wine tasting (15 minutes), San Luis Obispo (15 minutes), Morro Bay and Montana de Oro State Park (10 minutes). Surfing, boogie boarding, fishing (3 minute walk). LA and San Francisco are each only 3 hours away.
House is located on the beach side of Pacific Coast Hwy 1...nice and easy for beach walks, collecting shells/sand dollars, etc. Life is good!
