You will enjoy this beautiful mountain log home with a great secluded location in the Fraser Valley. This fabulous hand crafted log house is located on 4 ½ acres in a very quiet, forested, private neighborhood with easy access to all the splendor and fun the region has to offer. Winter Park summer/winter resort and Sol Vista ski areas are within a 15 minute drive.

The home backs to National Forest with amazing hiking and mountain biking trails that start at the back door. Trails lead through the forest to the top of the Sol Vista ski area.

There is plenty of room for friends and family to spread out in this luxurious home. Enjoy conversation around the wood stove or build a fire in our outdoor fire pit and roast marshmallows under the stars. Very enjoyable wrap around deck fully covered by the extended roof overhang, with gorgeous views of the Fraser Valley. Large BBQ on deck with outdoor dining table, chairs and relaxing lounges with foot rests.

Large 600 SF master bedroom with vaulted ceiling, private balcony, a great view of Byers Peak (13,000 ft. snow capped mountain), private bathroom with shower and 2 person jetted tub. Master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable king size bed, TV, and couch. All floors are heated with radiant in-floor heat, and the great room has a wood stove with accessible indoor firewood room near by stocked with firewood.

This is a very new home (built in 2007).

Full sized kitchen has all the amenities (dishes/glasses/pans/silverware microwave/stainless steel appliances, ice maker, center island, and walk in pantry), The kitchen, dining room and adjoining great room have plenty of room for entertaining/cooking and visiting with guests. Oak dining room table seats 12 comfortably.

First floor guest bedroom has a private bath with jetted tub. Second floor guest bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower. Couch in loft pulls out into queen size bed. LCD TV with VCR, DVD and Dish Network with local/Denver channels. Attached garage parking available for 2 cars and large driveway with plenty of additional parking.

You will find plenty of opportunities to rest and relieve stress vacationing in the wonderful environment offered by this home. With over 300 days of sunshine annually in the Fraser valley, the days are warm and peaceful and nights are cool and refreshing.

There is also an abundance of local summer activities and recreational opportunities as well, from swimming or exercising at the Fraser Recreation Center, to riding the alpine slide, or playing golf at nearby Pole Creek or Granby Ranch courses, or going horseback riding at Snow Mountain Ranch, fishing, or renting ATV’s and exploring trails over continental divide, or rafting the Colorado river. Many guests enjoy a day trip to Rocky Mountain National park or shopping in the town of Grand Lake.

Beautiful views and house

We really enjoyed our stay at the log house. It is secluded, as described. Not hard to get to but you definitely feel like you have gotten away and gone to the mountains. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. (The kitchen could use more equipment for cooking, but nothing serious.) And the host was very available and helpful. I would go back for sure!

Beautiful home and property!

Our family really enjoyed this wonderful cabin. It was quaint with luxurious touches. It had all the mountain cabin charm with unexpected luxuries like oversized bedrooms and bathrooms, high ceilings, integrated sound system and beautiful picture windows. The kitchen equipment was a little lacking (no skillet or decent knife) and I would recommend you bring your own CDs if you have them. It was better than we imagined, pictures didn't do it justice. We hope to schedule another stay again soon!!!
