Beautiful log home with spectacular views

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this gorgeous log home. It was clean and very well appointed. The views are spectacular and the spaces were very comfortable and large enough to accommodate our group very comfortably.

Another White Christmas

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at this beautiful home. We were a little worried about lack of snow but it came in at the last minute and actually stranded some of us on our way up and had to stay the night in the car but despite all that we had our White Christmas.

Everything was perfect as always and the views are incredible. I am sure we will return for our fourth visit soon. Thanks to the owners for sharing their awesome home with us.

Cozy vacation home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely log home for the week of Thanksgiving 2017. We had a great time! The home was easy to access just north of Winter Park. There was some snow on the ground, but it was no problem to navigate in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. There was plenty of room for the three of us adults. My stepdaughter and I tackled cooking a large Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen, and it went pretty smoothly. However, I should mention that if you intend to do much cooking at all, you will want to bring several of your own cooking utensils and condiments and such. The fridge was empty with no basics available, so we had to go buy all those things. Many of the kitchen cooking utensils, like spatulas, were very worn out and definitely need to be replaced, so you may want to bring your own. There were also a few kitchen staples missing, like foil and saran wrap. Also no Tupperware for storing leftovers. We got creative and made it work though! These small things were not enough to affect our stay negatively. We have learned to travel with a few favorite kitchen items anyway from lots of experience staying at vacation homes.

This house is absolutely beautiful and the view is SPECTACULAR. We enjoyed playing dominoes for hours and watching movies in the cozy living room. We saw several large deer during our stay at a few foxes! It was also a pleasure to be able to park our car in the garage for easy unloading and loading. Thank you, Kuhns, for a lovely stay. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful views and house

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the log house. It is secluded, as described. Not hard to get to but you definitely feel like you have gotten away and gone to the mountains. The house is very comfortable and well maintained. (The kitchen could use more equipment for cooking, but nothing serious.) And the host was very available and helpful. I would go back for sure!
