Note: for a few weeks in spring the lake is low until the runoff from the snow refills the lake for the summer/fall.

Why Maureen Betz, Member (Colorado Getaways LLC) chose Northwest

This town home has 3 levels all with lakefront views of Lake Granby. With no neighbors above or below you - its much quieter than a condo in a very small 8 unit complex unit. The home offers 2 King & 1 Queen bed in the 3 bedrooms,a Queen size lazy-boy memory foam pull out couch in the family room (really comfy!) plus 2 sleeping bags & mats, HOT TUB, Wifi, X-Box/games, outdoor fire pit, horseshoes, 2 indoor gas fireplaces, jacuzzi tub, washer/dryer, movies, books, toys, games, linens/towels, bbq grill, ipod docking station, high chair, pack-n-play, fully equipped kitchen & heated floors throughout the town home as well as a heated walkway out front. There is a Marina attached to the town home with full tackle shop & boat/slip rental & guided fishing tours. The Marina & being 50 feet from the lake is great for families who love boating & fishing! The complex is small & cozy & the area is very quiet.

What makes this townhome unique

Nothing better than being right on Lake Granby. Kids love to roast marshmallows in the outdoor fire pit or play horseshoes year round! With so much sunshine in Colorado, both can be done on many winter days. Families will also enjoy the wifi, xbox, bbq grill & having a washer/dryer is very convenient. The heated floors make it warm & cozy & the heated walkway makes the front sidewalk safe for families. You can also park in the garage - keeping your car warmer & snow free.

Great house with unbelievable views.

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for a great weekend. The house is everything as advertised and more. Thanks for making us feel right at home. You thought of everything right down to labeling on the switches. It's great to be so close to the marina. The people there are knowledgeable and very helpful. It was hard to leave!

Beautiful house and breathtaking views!

  • 5 of 5

The views from the decks of this house are incredible-beautiful snow-capped mountains all around the lake. We were a little worried about being so close to the marina but it was actually fun to watch all of the boats coming and going. We could launch our waverunners right from a small beach next to the boat ramp which was super convenient, and the folks who run the marina were so nice and helpful. Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Grand Lake (awesome little town with Old West charm) are only a few miles away. The house itself is very nice-very clean, spacious, had everything we needed and then some. The hot tub was great for soaking sore muscles from hiking at RMNP and also for stargazing at the beautiful night sky. We would highly recommend this house and will hopefully be back again someday!

Nice place, but the bad outweighs the good in our opinion!

  • 3 of 5

The condo was very nice and well equipped. Also, the mountain views were beautiful, especially from the master bedroom. However, we were very disappointed that the water levels in Lake Grandby were extremely low, which meant that we looked out over dirt instead of water. We inquired about this and discovered that it was not a unique situation at all, in fact, we found that this reservoir is drained every year in the fall. We feel like it is false advertising to state that the condo is 50 feet from the lake when that is only true during limited months of the year.

Also, while I appreciate thorough instructions and property information, this was way over the top. There are so many rules and regulations that we found ourselves stressed out about our stay instead of relaxing and enjoying our time. There is a binder full of restrictions making us question most things that we were doing.

Lastly, when you pay a substantial cleaning fee for a two night stay, then I would not expect to do half the work ourselves. We had to strip beds, start laundry, run the dishwasher, dispose of garbage in an off-site location, etc. We literally spent our last morning doing chores instead of relaxing and enjoying our last few hours!

Owner's Response: Glad you found the townhouse very nice, well equipped & had beautiful views! I have added to our description that the water levels are low in the spring until the snow melt refills the lake for the summer/fall. The binder is there to be helpful and is full of information based on questions our previous guests have asked over the years. The check out list does include stripping the beds & we ask that you start a load of towels as a courtesy to our cleaner but you do not have to do this. We do expect you to clean up your own dishes & take the garbage out to the dumpster 40 feet behind the condo.
