This spacious mountain house is a perfect place for so many south western pa activities. Wineries, hiking, golfing, skiing, Falling waters the world renown architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, also his Kentuck knob famous house, Nemacolin, Fort Ligonier, the underground Caves at Laurel Caverns, there are just too many to list. Hike up to the cross at Jumonville and get a breathtaking view of western Pa. Or get married in their quaint Jumonville stone church. Minutes away from all your familiar Restaurants but explore the tastes that are sure to impress you with many local restaurants and diners. We offer a huge kitchen that has two ovens, coffee bar. The master bedroom has their own coffee bar and refrigerator. Hot tub is shared between bedrooms on spacious deck. Go whitewater rafting at Ohiopyle or a leisurely interlube ride down the river, and many hiking trails near and around the river with spectacular views. Seven Springs and hidden valley offer skiing and snow boarding. The Christian Klay mountain winery minutes away, but just 40 minutes further visit the impressive "castle " Vinoski winery...live bands, entertainment and world renown wines also the official wine of the Pittsburgh penguins!
Uniontown only 10 minutes away, offers all your well known restaurants such as Olive garden, red lobster, McDonald's, burger King, etc, but we recommend local favorites as Melonies Italian home cooked, or DiMarco bar and grill, or titlow tavern...fantastic eateries. for exceptional Italian, Caporella's in uniontown, you won't be disappointed.
Lots of coffee places..nearby, Uniontown has dunkin, starbucks, and the mountain has amazing ones as well...try Bittersweet cafe, or Maywood grill for great breakfast. We love Pappy 's in chalkhill for takeout..great bar food like there tasty voodoo burgers and grab your beer there.
How lucky are you? Large beautiful gambling casino called Nemacolin Lady Luck in Farmington.

What a fabulous vacation find! Kalli-Ru is nothing short of amazing thanks to the over the top attention to detail from its incredible host and owner!! Where do I begin??? First … the on-line photos do not do this property justice… it is much larger than the photos portray …the kitchen area is large, bright and beautiful with a center island and is fully appointed with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The living room is a large open floor plan with a dining table for 8, and u-shaped couch area facing a huge flat screen TV. Large outside area with picnic tables, fire pit, hot tub, games for the kids, etc…, you will want for nothing in this paradise!Second… the location is perfect… minutes to Falling Water, Kentuck Knob, Ohiopyle, hiking, biking, wineries, golf and much more.Finally - We were stunned upon our arrival to find the house fully decorated for Christmas with a 12 foot tree, lights, Santas, reindeer... absolutely gorgeous with, believe it or not, gifts under the tree for us…!!! Plus there were also homemade blueberry scones in the kitchen along with a truly adorable Kalli-Ru photo frame for us as a keepsake. The host even brought us a tray of homemade cookies Christmas Morning!!! We have stayed in many vacation rentals through VRBO but nothing compares to our Holiday Trip at Kalli-Ru!! Amazing hospitality and Spectacular Home... we can't wait to book our next trip!!!

The kitchen was amazing! Plenty of space, great supply of all the things you need! The living room was comfortable, plenty of room for all of us (7). The 2 master suites were great! The location was central to many things to do. Keithette was very responsive, and very sweet. She was a great host and made sure all was wonderful for our visit.We would recommend this lovely home to anyone heading to the area. Frank Lloyd Wright homes, esp Falling Water, Vinoski Winery, Yough River Brewery, hiking in Ohiopyle State Park - all wonderful!

This home was amazing! Spacious rooms, large, well stocked kitchen, wonderful hot tub and firepit, and everything spotlessly clean. It was close to the hiking trails and other attractions. Our host was very accommodating. We are hoping to return next year!

Family fun weekend in the woods

The kitchen was amazing! Huge with everything you need to prepare meals and then relax with your family. High chair, kids dishes, wine glasses for the adults and two ovens making meal prep easy and enjoyable in the spacious kitchen with plenty of seating! We were welcomed with homemade blueberry scones and lemon drizzle and the thoughtful touches were everywhere! Plenty of towels and supplies in the three full bathrooms and an additional powder room with washer and dryer. Snacks and throw blanket in every bed room so you’re comfortable and welcomed. We utilized the pack and play (but didn’t need the two toddler beds) for our youngest 8 month old and an indoor tent with toys to occupy our four year old grandson. Books games and plenty of TV’s so no one had to watch something they weren’t interested in. Decorated beautiful with adorable bears and mountain themed. The hot tub was a relaxing time for everyone after dinner. Keithette has thought of everything and her hospitality is AMAZING, thank you for sharing your home with us!

50th Birthday Celebration Weekend

Four couples getaway. Cooked meals. Played games. Went for hiking and sightseeing especially to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Also visited the winerydistillery nearby. Location was superb. The owners of Kalli-Ru thought of every detail. Great for all ages -there are games, air hockey table, long bar table, many sofas, fireplaces, big yard, grill, fire pit, hot tub, etc. And big kitchen for gatherings and prepping meals. The place is also wheelchair accessible -that was a detail I noticed and appreciated in case anyone is looking for a nice place that’s thoughtfully accessible. Don’t hesitate to stay here -I’m so glad I took the plunge to rent this place for a few days. Memorable, charmingly decorated and so well stocked for things we forgot to bring.

One of the best I've ever stayed!

This was one of the nicest homes I've ever stayed at through a vacation rental! We hosted our family Christmas get-together here and there were plenty of rooms (and bathrooms) for everyone. The beds were super comfortable. Everyone had their own space. The living room and dining areas were more than enough. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Keithette left little goodies and treats in the kitchen and even bedrooms for all of us. She was very responsive. I just can't say enough good things about this place! It may just become a new annual tradition for us to meet here.

White water rafting trip

A group of 10 of us stayed for a white water rafting trip and we absolutely loved the house! We walked into homemade beautiful scones & a picture frame waiting on the kitchen counter! The house was SO clean and the pictures just don’t do it justice! It is beautiful! We can’t recommend this house enough and can’t wait to stay again!

Graduation Weekend

We enjoyed celebrating our sons graduation from WVU with family from NY and Ohio. This was a great spot to enjoy being together and eating in. Plenty of seating for larger groups. Some of the group visited Falling Waters, Cucumber Falls and Laurel Caverns. There a many activities nearby and just 35 mins to Morgantown!

New Year's Getaway

Our family of 7 adults enjoyed staying at this well-equipped house. There's a large eat-in kitchen with seating for 8 as well as a bar table in the living area that can also seat 8. At one end of the house, there are 3 bedrooms -- one en suite; the other two access a bathroom off the main living space. A fourth bedroom (en suite) is off the kitchen area at the other end of the house. We especially enjoyed sitting in the hot tub as the snowflakes fell.

Very accommodating

Host is very accessible and accommodating! Everything needed to host us four couples for a long weekend. Plenty of linens, and house is very clean.

Serene, yet able to accommodate small crowd

The house was even more impressive than the website. Very warm and cozy furnishings and lots of extras (dart board, air hockey, card table, corn hole, hot tub, fire pit, etc.). We loved sitting outside and listening to the birds and other nature sounds. The host was super attentive and exceeded our expectations. We hope we’ll have an excuse to return to that area.

Lovely, Spacious, and Homey One-floor home Near Ohiopyle

What a lovely home! Spacious, incredibly well stocked, with wonderful ammenities. Our two families (with 4 kids total ages 10-15) enjoyed a wonderful weekend here. Keithette couldn’t have been kinder or more responsive to anything we needed - an amazing hostess! And her blueberry scones are fantastic! A quick 20minute drive to enjoy all the wonderful outdoor adventures that Ohiopyle has to offer. Thank you Keithette for a wonderful weekend!

Exceeded our expectations!

This home (you can feel the love and care of a home, not just a rental) totally exceeded our expectations. We traveled to the area for a wedding and wanted to stay together as a family instead of in hotel rooms. Everything was clean and catered to the guests. The blueberry scones (and the thoughtful sharing of the recipe on my request) were the icing on the cake. If you don’t book here, you are missing out. Thanks Keithette for the wonderful stay!
